About the property

Newly Updated 2 Bed, 2 Bath Condos Sleep 6

We have three condo units available in the same resort. We have onsite management and maintenance seven days per week, which has an "800" number and handles securely your deposit and final payment information, as well as other needs. You will love these 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos with a spacious 1,100 square feet of room to call your own. One is GULF FRONT and located on the second floor and shown in the first set of eight photos, another is on the ground floor and referred to as the GULF VIEW condo and shown in the next set of photos and also has a partial view of the gulf and the third is a second floor unit with a view over the courtyard and pool, referred to as the LUXURY condo which is shown in the last set of photos. There are elevators in the resort so all the condos are easily accessible and all are equipped with Wi-Fi. They are all located on the gorgeous, uncrowded beaches of Longboat Key, and near the cultural haven of Sarasota. The condos are on the beach side of the island and have thier own private beach area, with new lounge chairs on the beach and umbrellas in the condo for your use. The buildings run in the shape of a horseshoe with the pool in the middle and the open end toward the beach. We are a smaller association so all of the units are very close to the beach and pool. We take very good care of our units and make sure they all have nice mattresses, fully stocked kitchens, and lots of extras to make your stay enjoyable. This will be a vacation you will always remember.

Also, there is an office on the property that is open seven days per week for your convenience. If you decide to rent with us, after we agree to dates and prices, all deposits and other monies are handled through the office, so you are assured of legitimacy and your funds and credit card number will be given to them only and will always be secure.

The online calendar represents times when one or more of one of the units are available. Please inquire as to the dates and units you desire and if there is any flexibility in either the unit or the dates.

Descriptions Of Our Condos:

GULF FRONT condo on second floor:

Our GULF FRONT condominium has a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico not only from the balcony, but from the living room as well (see the first ten photos). We only recently purchased our place, but in 2013 we replaced all the carpet, put in all new stainless steel appliances, bought new living room furniture, replaced mattresses, added ceiling fans in the bedrooms, put in new flat screen HDTV’s and Blue Ray players (Netflix/Pandora, etc. capable), replaced the bedding and wall hangings, and made several other improvements. If you like to spend time on the patio, you will love the beautiful new table with balcony height swivel chairs and the chaise reclining lounge chair with ottoman and end table. There is also an umbrella for the patio. We upgraded the kitchen utensils to make dining at home easy. We also added some fun stuff like a wine bottle fridge and an espresso machine and coffee grinder, you know, the essentials. We also purchased a play pen, stroller and high chair for our littlest guests! The condo has a wi-fi connection. There are flat screen HDTV’s in the living room (40') and both bedrooms (32') with over 200 channels and the closet near the front door harbors beach toys, three new coolers and ice packs for the beach and two beach umbrellas. The unit is also equipped with Wi-Fi. We also installed a safe in the Master Bedroom closet. Our unit has a private parking space which is right next to the stairs and elevator. The condo is a two bedroom, two bath, with a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The master has a king sized bed and the guest bedroom has two singles, so the condo can sleep six comfortably. Our unit has a very nice view of the beach as well. It is very relaxing sitting on the deck and watching the waves roll in!

GULF VIEW condo on ground floor:

If you like convenience and privacy, our ground floor unit is the one for you. The middle five photos pictured are of this ground floor unit. It has a walk out patio that leads you directly to the beach and grilling area in just a few steps. As the patio faces the exterior beach side (as opposed to the interior of the resort), you do not have people walking by your unit, so you have a high degree of privacy in this unit. And if you like to walk out to the beach, or like to grill, you are only steps away from both from your own patio. The unit also has its own washer and dryer. It has a king sized bed in the master, two twins in the guest bedroom and a pull out sleeper sofa in the sitting room next to kitchen. We just installed new flooring in this unit and have newer Living Room furniture as well.

The GULF VIEW unit rents at rates that are about 12% less than those shown below for the GULF FRONT unit.

LUXURY condo on second floor:

This condo is the most nicely done inside, the décor is beautiful and the bathrooms and kitchen are recently updated and gorgeous. The bathrooms have granite counters and beautiful tile and the kitchen cabinetry is very pretty, well made and functional. The kitchen also has new stainless steel appliances. The furnishings throughout are first class as well with new dining room furniture and all new flooring in 2017. The view from this unit is out over the courtyard and pool, though you can see a little of the water and beach between the units to the west. This unit has a spacious Living Room as well as Dining Room and nice patio furniture as well. The LUXURY condo rents at rates that are about 20% less than those shown below for the GULF FRONT condo.

Longboat Key

Longboat Key is a safe, quiet beach community. While there are restaurants (including one right next door) and stores for your needs, it is a very “residential” community compared to most beach front areas that can be crowded, have traffic congestion, and noisy. So, Longboat is perfect for relaxing with friends and family. You will enjoy the mild temperatures all year round, with highs in the winter months averaging in the low seventies and breezes off of the Gulf in the summer. The beaches in this area rate as tops in the nation by numerous publications and the beautiful white sandy beach directly in front of our condos is no exception. Spend time on the beach lounging and watching the birds as you all enjoy the warm water and soft white sand! Longboat offers numerous activities as well; golfing, fishing (from shore or boat), biking (bike rental is right next door), bird watching, walks along the beach or on the walking/biking trail that runs right by the resort are a few of the casual activities available on the island. All of your needed conveniences are nearby as well. Longboat has a large grocery store, a CVS pharmacy, and several nice restaurants. It also has several churches and a synagogue right on the island. If this is your first visit, you will see why Longboat was recently rated the #2 island destination in North America by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. Just across the bridge is St. Armands Circle, with numerous unique shops and outstanding restaurants. On the adjacent mainland is the town of Sarasota, with abundant cultural activities such as opera, museums, art exhibits and numerous dining and shopping opportunities. Included among them are the galleries of the Ringling Museum of Art and live theater at Van Wezel Performing Arts Center and Aloso Repertory Theatre. Other attractions are the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Joan Durante Park. A family favorite, the Mote Marine has Gulf related marine life exhibits and touching pools. Just about an hour up the interstate is Busch Gardens which has rides, shows, animal attractions and lots of fun for the whole family. Within about a three hour drive is Disney World in Orlando. The area around Longboat offers numerous other activities as well, so, while Longboat is quiet and peaceful, it isn’t isolated.

Our Development

Our development is, simply, gorgeous. While staying at another complex, my wife and I were walking up the beach. The outside beauty of our condos tempted us to walk into the resort and take a look around, so we did. What we found was a newly renovated beach resort that has a tremendous outward appeal. It was then that we decided that this would be the focus of our search for a Florida condo. We discovered later that the association had recently completed a $10,000,000.00 renovation, and the results are beautiful. Many places in the area are overdue for such renovations, and ours stands out as a very upscale, modernized resort by comparison. Since our purchase, there have been many new improvements as well. Since the resort has only 60 total units, and only six in each building, it provides a very comfortable, casual and uncrowded atmosphere. We sit right on our own private, beautiful, soft white sandy beach (our beach is rated #2 in the U.S. in some national publications). We have a very large heated pool, tennis and basketball courts, shuffleboard, and grilling area. There is a large open grassy area for the children to play and beautiful landscaping all around. The resort has a full time staff and provides basketballs, tennis rackets, beach toys, lounge chairs around the pool and for the private beach area, beach umbrellas, linens, bath and beach towels. Located in the middle of the island, we have convenient access to all of the island’s pleasures.

It was a long hunt, but we finally found the treasure. We are eager to share our place with our guests!

We have been looking at acquiring a beachfront property for years before finally purchasing this unit on Longboat. The area offers a safe, peaceful environment, yet still has the essentials in very close proximity. There is a large grocery store, pharmacy, shops, restaurants and pubs, and other activities, all while maintaining a very homey, residential feel. This is what attracted us to Longboat. Sand Cay's beauty and great management made the decision to focus on a property in this association an easy one. We hope you will enjoy your stay, and please send us any suggestions for bettering our place, as we want our guests to have as pleasurable a stay as possible. Sand Cay, with its beauty, friendliness and great management can and will accomplish this objective. Very well maintained grounds and amenities, without the pretentiousness, make staying at Sand Cay a relaxing pleasure.

What makes this condo unique

We have replaced carpet, installed all new stainless steel appliances, replaced living room furniture and mattresses and generally upgraded the Gulf Front condo to a new level. Other upgrades are constantly in the works for the other units as well. This in combination with the beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico make it an ideal vacation spot!

The Master bedroom has two nice sized closets and the Guest bedroom has one.

Beautiful place with easy beach access

We have stayed at this property numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. The condo is well maintained with plenty of room. It's the perfect getaway. The kitchen is well stocked. The beach is beautiful with numerous outdoor lounge chairs. You have a nearby grocery store if you feel like cooking or you can drive to St. Armand's Circle which has many restaurant choices and great shopping. Book now it fills up fast during peak seasons.

Always a great time, with even better accommodations

I have stayed at Sand Cay the past two years and have another stay coming up in a few weeks. Everything from the condos to the beach are always very clean, neat and convenient. The condos have everything I need for a get away and I never have to worry about a thing. They are clean, stocked, and ready for me upon arrival. If I ever need anything, the staff is ready to help.

I love the fact that you can walk for fun, food, and exercise....either on the beach or street. The beach is beautiful and fun for the little ones to explore. The streets are safe with a beautiful walking trail.

Sandy Cay is the place to go for a worry-free, relaxing vacation!

perfect place to unplug and relax

Our stay at Sand Cay was, in a word, wonderful. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The condos came with everything one might need for a getaway—beach umbrellas, towels, coolers, paddle boards, strollers, pack ’n plays, etc. Every unit had internet access so that we could connect with the world if needed, but why would we want to when we were just steps away from the gorgeous, well-maintained, uncrowded beach? There is a paved trail right across the street for a safe, quick run before hitting the beach for the day. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable with an open, casual layout. Beds were comfortable. Our unit had a washer and dryer and a very private patio. I felt very safe staying here. The location provides easy access to grocery store, shops, restaurants and parks. Looking forward to visiting again!

We had an amazing time!! I cannot say enough about how beautiful the beach was. There were even lounge chairs provided. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay so comfortable. I appreciated the beach items provided by the condo owners. They had coolers, boogie boards, and umbrellas all for our use. There were even beach towels. They thought of everything. I can't wait to return and make more fabulous memories!

Making this e an annual visit!

We just spent an amazing week at this incredible condo! The house is well maintained, very spacious, and spotless. This place packs everything you could want—cozy furniture to hang out in the living room with beautiful beach themed rooms, including comfortable beds and extra blankets and pillows, if needed. We loved hanging out in our living room, where we could have drinks and talk before eating at a large dining room table that could seat our entire group comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped, including all stainless steel appliances and a coffee maker. We even had a free washer and dryer to use and our own designated parking space! There was a television in every room with over 200 channels. It certainly exceeded our expectations, with an entire closet dedicated to all the things you need to make your beach day comfortable, including six oversized towels. There is a Publix supermarket right down the street, so you can buy all you need for grilling out or cooking in the complete kitchen with a large fridge and icemaker or take it to the extra large outdoor brick grill while you stare out at the ocean. Our balcony overlooked the beautiful courtyard with the pool and it was way too inviting not to swim in the pool after a day on the beach. The property is so close to the water and the beach was never crowded and very clean. Dealing with the manager was a pleasure. She responded immediately to any questions we had, open 7 days a week! All amenities are close by (golf! shopping! restaurants!). We planned to explore beautiful Longboat and Sarasota but it was hard to leave our comfortable and well equipped home, the heated pool, and the beach. Did I mention the condo is located in a beautiful and safe area and the white sand beach is a Frisbee-throw away? We will return and would definitely recommend! You won't be disappointed!

A Perfect Condo with a beautiful view and beach access just down the path! Not crowded at all during our visit, walking trail close by, paddle boards, white sand, and umbrellas with comfortable lawn chairs, barbecue grills and pool too!!!Very large condo space, clean and well-taken care of by owners!
