Two bedroom penthouse with outside BBQ, large terraces on both floors & hot tub

Our modern apartment has been furnished to a high standard and comprises of 2 en-suite bedrooms (one twin, one double), kitchen, utility room, large lounge/dining room area and 3 terraces spread across 2 levels. It is extremely spacious and the three terraces offer lots of outdoor space.

One terrace is perfect for eating lunch on as it is under cover from the midday sun, whilst the top deck is ideal for sunbathing. The second terrace is outside the double bedroom and overlooks one of the pools. There is also a hot tub, sauna, outside shower, dining area and BBQ grill on the upper terrace which has amazing views across the coast to Gibraltar.

El Campanario has 3 large communal pools, plus children's pools, and beautiful landscaped gardens. There is also a nearby El Campanrio country club with bar & restaurant, and its own golf course. Fully furnished, this apartment has everything you could need for a holiday.

We do recommend hiring a car, as although the supermarket and some restaurants are within walking distance, it makes it so much easier to explore the surrounding area with a car.

Our apartment is family owned, and the bookings and maintenance are run by a mother and daughter (Debbie and Danielle). We're based in Leicestershire and Las Vegas, and have a great holiday management company that we use in Spain, which is owned by Natalie Wild. She does all our property maintenance and upkeep, as well as greeting guests and showing them round at the start of their stay.

Why Danielle Robertson Rossi chose Marbella area

We use the apartment ourselves several times a year for holidays, as we love the area! Extended family and friends have also used the property for their holidays and we've always had great feedback. Whenever we visit we make sure the apartment is looking good and keep on top of the maintenance and general upkeep. It's treated as a family home and not just a buy to let property.

Originally it was purchased just as a holiday home as we had friends in the area who had also bought properties nearby, and we decided to start renting it out a couple of years ago as we found that it wasn't being used throughout the whole summer.

What makes this apartment unique

It's an amazingly relaxing place and just being there for a few days is enough to wind down from everyday life. You can choose to be as casual and low key as you like, and just stay in the El Campanario resort, or go into the nearby towns of Puerto Banus, Marbella or beautiful Estepona if you fancy a night out.

The apartment is situated away from the main road so it's extremely peaceful but restaurants and bars are literally just a few minutes by car. We love it here and the Spanish way of life. Since we've been renting out the apartment we've had some brilliant feedback and our guests have enjoyed some great holidays here.

We spent 10 days in this fabulous penthouse.

Since the beginning, I had a very good feeling about this rental. The contacts with Danielle, the owner, were easy and very friendly, quick replies to my questions were provided.

The apartment/penthouse is fantastic, a perfect accommodation for a family. We were 2 adults and 1 teenager. Our son had his own en-suite bathroom, he really enjoyed it, especially the heating floor in the bathroom. The apartment is very clean and spacious and the roof terrace amazing, hot tub being the cherry on the cake. What a pleasure to relax in the evening in a Jacuzzi watching at the stars!

The area is very quiet even if you can find shops and restaurants easily accessible at walking distance.

Nathalie was very helpful and easily reachable, even on a Sunday.

I would recommend this apartment without hesitation, a perfect place for relaxing holidays in a quiet environment 5 minutes driving from the beach and the nearest city

Superbe appartement terrasse

L'appartement de Danielle est particulièrement agréable. Il est parfaitement équipé avec tout le nécessaire dans toutes les pièces : cuisine, séjour (chaines du monde entier et internet par fibre), salle de bain, chambres et terrasses.

La literie est très confortable et la climatisation très appréciable en période estivale.

Nous avons profité des terrasses avec le jaccuzzi, le BBQ, les chaises longues ainsi que le coin repas parfaitement orienté.

Cette appartement très spacieux est situé au coeur d'une résidence magnifiquement arborée et sécurisée. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande piscine aux pieds de l'appartement ainsi que ses abords.

L'utilisation de la voiture est indispensable pour aller à la plage ou faire des courses mais tout se trouve à proximité.

Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Graet place for a nice lazy holiday

We enjoyed El Campanario and apart from one or two minor niggles this would be a good place to stay for two adults and two children. The apartment was well equipped and furnished, especially the kitchen and utility room, there is a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Hot tub on the top terrace but the weather was too hot and a sauna which would be great in the winter. The Country Club has a good restaurant, but it is only open on Thursday to Saturday evenings plus Sunday lunch, they do light snacks at other lunchtimes, you can join by the week and use the indoor and outdoor pools, gym and par 3 golf course. Close to choice of supermarkets, very easy to get lazy, get a simple meal from the supermarket, a bottle of wine and sit on the terrace in the evening. Only comment would be more exterior lighting on the terraces and perhaps some shade or roof over the hot tub.

Bit of a fag to take food upstairs and use the BBQ, could do with more shade on the lower front terrace during the day as this is in full sun from about noon onwards and clearly has the best views.

The place is very clean and Natalie the local agent will meet and greet you and sort out any issues.

No apartment will ever be absolutely perfect perhaps compared to your own home, but this comes close.

Stunning penthouse, fantastic location

We knew we were in safe hands from the really friendly and informative communication we had throughout - both Danielle and Natalie in Spain made the whole thing very easy.

I knew the Campanario site but hadn't seen it for many years and I wasn't disappointed. The tropical gardens have won awards and you could see why. They are full of palm trees, free-form swimming pools, bridges, waterfalls and other interesting features.

The penthouse is beautiful. A wonderful spot with see and mountain views as well as overlooking the gardens from the many terraces.

There is something for everyone - we loved the jacuzzi and there is open and covered terrace and lots of places to sit and eat, soak up the sun or just admire the view.

We also enjoyed the onsite facilities- playing padel tennis was a highlight and we loved the country club restaurant with spanish guitar accompaniment.

Although a car is essential, the location is spot on. We love Benahavis, Ronda, Marbella old town and Puerto Banus and Estepona are just a few minutes away.

We would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone - there really is something for everyone and we can't wait to go back again!

What an apartment! Beautiful quiet location but close to everything you need and could want. The pictures don't do it justice. Very clean and well equipped. Natalie the manager was very friendly and readily available to answer question/help when required.

Perfect Penthouse, Perfect Stay

The apartment was beautiful- cool, spacious and with fabulous amenities. The kitchen was well stocked, we had everything we needed to cook meals. We were traveling with our 18 month old son, and while we kept a close eye on him at all times with the stairs and balconies, we found the apartment to be family friendly. Our favorite feature was the upper patio. We enjoyed eating dinner up there then sitting out on the sofa while looking at the mountains and the ocean. It made for a peaceful, relaxing evening after a day of traveling. As it was March and the evenings were chilly, we also enjoyed the hot tub. The apartment's location made for easy day trips to Seville, Granada, Gibraltar and Nerja. Natalie was very helpful and easily reachable for any questions we had. We have already recommended this apartment to our friends.

Superb 5* Penthouse Apartment. Highly Recommended!

This penthouse roof apartment is simply fantastic!

It's much bigger than the photos would suggest and we have suggested that the owners add the size to the details.

When comparing to similar appartments in Spain, this one wins hands down in our view-not the cheapest available, but great value for the price & spotless.

2 floors up (accessible via a lift if you don't want to do the stairs), the apartment is of a very high quality...marble floors, quality wood furnishings & leather sofas .

The kitchen is VERY comprehensively equipped with a large fridge/freezer & enough utensils & crockery to support a sizeable dinner party!

There are 3 choices of dining areas-each having a large dining table & chairs for 6. 1 in the living/dining area, 1 on the terrace off the living area which was perfect for breakfast with a fantastic view into the mountains behind & 1 on the magnificent roof terrace upstairs.

The roof terrace is the entire footprint size of the apartment & it was fantastic to spend the evenings watching the sunset over Gibraltar in the distance. The BBQ, seating areas, sauna & hot tub made this terrace truly spectacular.

The street behind the apartment is very quiet & there was always plenty of room to park at the back gate which you access by key. There is no reception or central area which some might find strange but the owners British agent Natalie came to welcome us to the apartment. Not being restricted to weekend changeover days also meant cheaper flights & quieter airports (great for car hire pickup). Late check out was also a huge benefit.

The area is VERY quiet! We thought our 2 daughters 10 & 14 might have got a bit bored-but they loved it. The sub-tropical gardens & the pool are beautiful and never busy with lots of sun/shade. As it's all owner based, there are no rowdy crowds...mainly families with young children or retired couples.

As the details suggest - I would highly recommend a car to give you a mix of quiet & lively. It's only 15 mins to Puerto Banus (great for people watching), the nearest beach or into the white mountain village of Benahavis or along the coast to Estepona.

A 10 minute walk will take you down to a small complex with-an Irish bar, a pizza cafe (incredibly cheap), a great Chinese (upstairs) a superb bakery, newsagent, gift shop, supermarket & another couple of restaurants.

I wouldn't recommend for toddlers as the terrace walls are quite low & the marble stair to the roof is open at the bottom.

El Campanario is a private gated community of luxury apartments. It's peaceful and quiet, yet the bustling port of Puerto Banus is just ten minutes away by car. Estepona and Marbella are also a short drive away, and the beautiful mountainside village of Benahavis is close by-perfect for dining al fresco in the evenings at one of the many restaurants there.

We can recommend some fantastic nearby beaches for your stay-the apartment is close to Heaven, Puro and Mistral Beach. Several of the coast's best golf courses-El Paraiso, Atalaya, Monte Mayor and Los Flamingos are all nearby. For shopping there is the huge indoor complex La Canada, and the designer stores in Puerto Banus. Other nearby attractions are Selwo Safari Park and the village of Ronda. You won't run out of places to visit on your holiday as we are so close to so many attractions. There are local shops and restaurants at the end of the road, and numerous good restaurants are 5-10 minutes drive away.
