Little piece of Paradise!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we went through VRBO and I was a little nervous at first but it turned out so much better than I could have dreamed of, I was a little worried also that we would be so far away from everything. We Loved the place my kids 21,12,and 9 Loved the place when we first walked in , it was decorated so cute and FUN!! It had everything anyone could have ever wanted or needed. they had surf boards and boogie boards and even bungee cords to tie them down to your car, There were coolers and beach chairs ,beach towels and umbrellas and lots of snorkeling gear. There was plenty of beds for us all to sleep comfortably. The washing machine was a big plus also!! if you wanted to cook at the house she looked like she had everything you would need . We only ate breakfast there as we had too much to see !! But it was nice having a fridge and toaster!! As being to far from everything I never felt we were that far we went to Pearl Harbor and the Aloha swap meet. and I never felt like it was that far. I loved being out of the big city. It is so BEAUTIFUL up in that area and peaceful. We were so close to some of the most beautiful beaches and hikes !! We were like 10 minutes from the PCC and Waimea Beach and pounders Beach a definitely must go too!! We were just a few minutes from a grocery store which was also so convenient. We were close to Teds bakery where we got amazing butter buns and corn bread!! And their haupiia pie is a must try!! And even though it is on the main road it wasn't bad the 2 A/C units drowned out any sound at night and in the morning. The only problem we had was that a week was not enough to see everything on this Beautiful island. We will definitely be back and for sure will be staying at this little piece of heaven!! We definitely caught the ALOHA spirit!! Thanks for letting us rent your Darling house!!

Cute beach house!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed the first two weeks of February. It’s the rainy season In Hawaii and it did rain...a lot! The house is very cozy and well appointed. We enjoyed happy hour on the back porch even when it was raining. Got one perfect beach day with the kayak. We toured the north and east sides of the island an this was a good base to tour from..

This is a great little beach house. It was perfect for our family of four.

  • 4 of 5

Our family loved the home. It is well equipped with all necessary supplies, including beach towels and toys. The boogie boards were used often. The Murphy bed and pull-out couch were perfect for our two children. The decor in the house makes it even more inviting.

The only disappointing thing was what we expected to be a beach across the road, was not a beach. There was very little sand and a lot of rocks...definitely not safe for swimming or wading. But that did not deter us from enjoying all of the beautiful beaches within driving distance.

A rental car is a must for this cabin, as it is a long way away from major towns, restaurants and beaches. However, it definitely gives a feeling of being in real Hawai’i and away from the touristy areas.

Thanks Patty!

Adorable beach cottage, beach across the street within view, quiet area. We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We came for a 3 week visit and wish we had found this cute place sooner! We spent 1.5 weeks here and it's been lovely. Lots of household extras. Bring a few dvds, if you e not tv downtime as local cable isn't great, or if you have kids. She has some selections in the house but not many. That's all I can suggest because everything else was perfect! Much roomier than we expected and it's so clean and fun!

Perfect Beach Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

All I wanted was a small, quiet, place by the beach and this was it; a well kept, cute, clean bungalow. Walk right across the street to the ocean. Nice neighbors. Snorkel gear and kayaks at your disposal a definite plus. I'm also a coffee nerd and the place had a good burr grinder and a French press. Kona Typica freshly ground and brewed exactly my way every morning? Yes, please.

Close to several markets, local food carts, and hiking trails. Can't beat it.

Keep your eye out for sandwich boards on the roadside; the locals catch and sell fresh ahi and other fish and it's crazy cheap.

About Patty

I grew up in Wichita Kansas but had my 2nd and 3rd birthday living here in Hawaii, so I always felt that I came home to my roots. I also have a home in town, Hawaii Kai and frequent back and forth to keep a good eye on my favorite house here on the wind ward side of north shore.

Patty purchased this house in 2004

Why Patty chose Hauula

We wanted the real Hawaii not so many visitors and getting to know what really living in Hawaii is all about here in Hauula. I furnish everything from Paper Towels, TP, Laundry Soap, dish soap,, dishwasher soap! This is the best deal on the North Shore!

What makes this house unique

Across the street from the ocean. Less than 50 steps to water and sand. Occasionally you will find sea shells in the front yard or a spray from the ocean breeze! You can actually wade out in front of this house to the reef. 'Once in a Life Time' (there is a small opening to the ocean/beach directly in front of the house but you have to find it)

Just the cost of renting surf boards and kayaks will more than pay for your stay!

I furnish everything you need for your vacation.
