‘Fortunato’ is a very charming and child-friendly houseboat. It has a terrace, where you can enjoy breakfast or play games while sitting next to the water. Next to the boat is a garden available that you are welcome to use.
Jan, the owner of the houseboat, has a few special offers: First, he rents out bicycles. By bike, you can easily get to the centre of the city in about 5 minutes. Jan would also be glad to take you on a bicycle tour through Amsterdam, or, if desired, a boat tour through the canals of the city. Further, Jan offers the services as a personal chauffeur for tours to other cities in the Netherlands worth visiting. Also, cities in Belgium, like Antwerp or Brussels, or Cologne and Aachen in Germany, can be arranged.
The boat is not shared with anyone else so your privacy is assured.

This is a very comfortable, clean and well-equipped apartment (as noted in some of the other reviews, there are some steep stairs). It is in a residential area close to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum as well as the extensive Vondelpark. The no. 2 tram runs from a nearby stop to all the central areas of Amsterdam. There are some good local restaurants as well as some up-market shops. The hosts live downstairs and are very helpful. Strongly recommended.
We had a fantastic time in Amsterdam and the "Lucky Piper" and Jan had a lot to do with our stay being unforgettable! Jan is the nicest guy; he picked us up and drove us to the boat and even drove us to a supermarket along the way. The boat is so cosy and well equipped. It was cold outside the day we arrived but the boat heated up in no time. It's in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, the tram is just around the corner and takes you downtown in under 15 minutes. We didn't cook but it looked like everything you need is there! (I can recommend "Drover's Dog" and the "Wilde Zwijnen" for meals, both about 10 minutes walk...) We would definitely come back and stay there again when we're in Amsterdam!
My 3 friends and me went to this house to have a relaxing weekend as we have just turned 40! The house was freezing cold when we arrived at around 7pm as the heating didn't work. Nevertheless, the owner was really kind and returned our money back, looked for a hotel and paid our taxi. We can't say much about the house as we didn't stay enough time.
a very nice boat and Jan was very friendly. The swans next to the veranda are so beautiful. The weather was rainy, but We enjoyed the view to the River on the veranda. Everthing was clean inside the boat and it was a perfect weekend in Amsterdam.
Great place to stay. Ideally located for the city. A lovely houseboat and we had a relaxing stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing houseboat! You get alot for your money. The location is great, with close proximity the Artis Royal Zoo and Dappermarkt. The best vacation decision i've ever made.
The boat was great, what I needed to get away with the boys. In a convenient location, and very private. Only missed the star because of wifi and no iron, the key also snapped in the door! Other than that would definitely use this boat again and would recommend it to others.
The houseboat is located in Zeeburgerpad in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood. It’s close to the centre of Amsterdam, easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Nearby, you will find the Funen windmill and a microbrewery called “het ij”. Latter has an open tasting room from Wednesdays to Sundays.
Within a 15 minute walking distance you will pass by Artis Magistrallis, the zoo, the former VOC warehouse, and the Waterlooplein, where you can find Amsterdam’s most famous flee market.
Close to the houseboat you also will find nice cafés where you can relax and enjoy yourselves.
Busses and trams pass by every 10 minutes, the closest stop is within a 3-minute walking distance.
