Its a Wonderful Life is located in WaterColor’s beautiful Camp District, just steps from the Camp WaterColor pool, field and playground. This charming coastal cottage has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. After a day at the beach, make memories riding bikes or playing tennis with the family.
A wide covered porch with impressive square beams welcome you to this grand cottage. Stepping into the living area you will notice at once the vertical nature of this incredible space. A brick fire place reaches more than 20 feet up to the ceiling and there are railings enabling a view down from the second floor rooms that create a very open, welcoming, airy feel.
The large living area includes a cozy den centered on the fire place as well as a roomy, square eight-top dining table. Walls paneled in wood and painted cream create a cottage mood as does the natural wood furniture.
The kitchen is the largest single room in the house and overlooks the dining and living area along its miles of granite counter top. Stainless steel appliances are easy to access and the island sits very comfortably in the center of the room. A door leads out back to the porch and vine covered carport logia. There is a common half bath in the hall as well.
The king-size master bedroom on the first floor is painted in sky blue. A plush, batik styled duvet cover and ample natural light pouring in from the large windows set the tone. The high ceilings and Gulf focused photo art gives one the sense of being on the beach. You'll find a large walk-in closet, private tiled bath with a walk-in shower and dual vanities make this master a well appointed room throughout.
Going upstairs through the wide vaulted stairway at the head of the stairs you'll come to loft's built-in bunk beds with two twin beds in a fun sailboat theme.
Just down the hall is the children's bedroom. A set of picket fence bunk beds and a single picket fence twin bed are in this clean, playful room with cute puppy-print quilts. A private full bath and large closet give the kids a place to call their own with space for all of their toys and games.
Enter the second upstairs bedroom and look down upon on the first floor living area from the balcony, a striking architectural element. The queen-size bedroom with private bath, has pocket doors which open onto the space below in a distinctive curved balcony. Connected to this room are two bright nooks, one with a classic writing desk and the other with a reading area, both overlooking the living area and across to the stairway.
It's A Wonderful Life is just steps away from Camp WaterColor's pool, playground and park; its well centered in the resort town. The decor is soothing and the space is used very well with an underling theme of quiet opulence. This cottage is a really wonderful place.
My family and I had the best stay at It's a Wonderful Life home in Watercolor! Our 5 year old enjoyed the nearby pool and playground while the adults enjoyed the front porch, close proximity to Seaside, the Beach Club and Publix. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we could want...in fact, we didn't want to leave! The owner was flexible and a pleasure to work with...If you're considering this home for your next vacation, do not hesitate to book it, you won't be disappointed!!
We just came back from spending a week in this fabulous kid-friendly home. We had 2 families of 4 in this house and we had ample room. The kids ( 3-8year olds & 1-5 year old) had it made. There was a park in eye sight of the house. They thought it was coolest thing to be able to ride their bikes across the street and go to the park by themselves. The kitchen was a great size! All 4 adults could be in the kitchen at the same time to prepare kids/adult meals.
We have already booked for next year. We cannot wait!
While the overall accommodations were adequate, I booked this property without knowing that a house directly across the street was under construction. We woke promptly everyday at 7am to hammers pounding, music playing with lots of traffic/deliveries which lasted all day long. While I know the owners can't control this, I was very disappointed they did not inform me about the construction before I booked the property. When I contacted the owner to share what was going on, he was very apologetic for the miscommunication and said the weekly rate had been discounted to accommodate for any inconveniences caused by the construction. For some, this might be enough to compensate for the noise. However, if sleeping in a little or relaxing on the porch is important to you, this might not be the place for you this summer.
We have been coming to WaterColor for several years and this is the best house we have stayed in. We loved the proximity to Camp WaterColor and the easy access to the bike paths. The floor plan was roomy and the house was very comfortable. We will be coming back to this house again next year!
We had the best vacation here! The house is charming, spacious and relaxing. My children enjoyed the bunk beds, and we all liked the proximity to the Camp WaterColor pool, fields and playground. My parents enjoyed walking around the beautiful property, and the house was just perfect for us.
We stayed here for a long weekend, and we enjoyed this place! The house is big and comfy, and the location was so great for us. The owner is responsive, and the house has everything that you need. We will be back!
