This cottage has everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. Not only does it fit you and all your guests comfortably, but it also boasts 1136 square feet of dock. A fixed dock and 3 floating docks so that everyone can enjoy the lakefront comfortably as well. The views from the cottage are exquisite, and you will be located 60 feet from the waters edge. Also, driving to town is only 8 minutes away. The town of Dorset has everything you will need at our famous country store Robinson's General Store. There are also two great restaurants in town and a fast food window in the summer. Boating and fishing on Kawagama Lake is endless. It is the largest lake in our township and is fed directly from Algonquin Park, so the water is clean and clear. The lake is our treasure in the area because it is so large and not very populated due to the large extent of crown land. If you want to rent a boat or personal water craft there are two large marinas on the lake that will help you. This cottage gives you the best of both worlds; serenity and proximity. The screen porch keeps you inside but still enjoying the outdoors and WiFi is included in your stay. If there is anything you need we are only moments away with our own property on the same lake. 80% of our guests are return clients, and have been coming since we opened the property for rental in 2012. We love it here and we know you will too.
Relax and Enjoy your vacation starts now!

About CHANTAL HAMILTON
Rob and I bought the property from our parents in order to offer it as a rental property. We have our own cabin on the lake that is much smaller. We live in the town of Dorset and operate a lumber yard on Kawagama Lake Road; which is celebrating 40 years in the family. We love the area and think others should have the opportunity to enjoy it as well.

Better than my own home.
Chantal was very good about answering our questions before we arrived so we were well prepared for our stay. She and her family were also close enough to address any issues we had with the cottage.
Pros: Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable, spacious, laundry is a bonus, clean towels and linens provided (as most don't), great TV and electronics, lots of games, a pool table and shuffle board etc. Awesome wrap around porch and close to marina. Large foyer entry
area made it easy to shuffle the kids in and out without letting "nature" in.
Cons: The beach on the property was unfortunately underwater and you had to cross the laneway to reach the stairs to get down to the shore. Not a big deal as the laneway has little traffic but we had small children so we had to be extra careful with them. Small fire pit and not by the water but it's close to the house so it was good for cooking.
Overall we had a wonderful time. The average rating amongst the adults was actually 4.5 stars. My brother knocked it down because the fishing was a little slow but that's not really Chantal's fault.
