Situated on Lake Rousseau is Paradise Found! Relax and enjoy all of the amenities this wonderful pool home and its location have to offer! An open and spacious floor plan awaits you including 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms that comfortably sleeps six. Enjoy a perfect cup of coffee from the Keurig coffee maker while you watch the sunrise in the large screened porch overlooking oak trees draped with spanish moss, views of the lake and wildlife that frequent the area, very calming and peaceful! When you’re not fishing, bird watching, or exploring the lake with the two kayaks, cool off in the screen enclosed swimming pool! As your day of adventure comes to an end have a marshmallow roast around the fire pit while the sun sets.
Fishing is the name of the game on this lake and the covered boathouse has 2 slips waiting for your boat! There is Goldendale public boat ramp just a short run to our dock. Run your boat east up the Withlacoochee River to the sparkling clear waters of the Rainbow River where you can swim, tube, fish or tie your boat and dine at one of two waterfront restaurants, Swampy's or Blue Gator. If you boat west to Inglis Dam you can tie up and hike the nature trails.
Minutes by car takes you to Dunnellon’s antique shops, boat rentals, diving, snorkeling, and tubing or kayaking adventures on the sparkling clear waters of the Rainbow River and Rainbow River State Park. Drive south 17 minutes to Crystal River and swim with manatees, dive for scallops, or visit the beach and go shelling or ocean fishing. You can also trailer your boat to the Gulf of Mexico for saltwater fishing. So much to see and do!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradise Found on Lake Rousseau. The house was an inviting environment with the open layout and modern kitchen. The beds and the bathrooms allowed our party of seven plenty of room to have privacy. We spent several early mornings enjoying the large screened in porch or the peaceful covered dock for our breakfast. We have several photos of the birds, turtles and foliage for our memories.
One of the best adventures we all could participate in was the Rainbow River Tubing. We enjoyed this so much as a large family group that we actually did the tubing twice! The Rainbow River is so sparkling clear and it is a refreshing temperature on a hot day in July
We visited our elderly relatives in Ocala which was only a 20 minute drive. We loved that we were so close, but also away from the hustle and bustle of town at Lake Rousseau.
All of us, especially the grandkids, loved the pool that we had all to ourselves. It just made one more reason not to stay in a big resort hotel.
We had all the amenities of home that was necessary to make this an extremely easy, comforting and peaceful vacation. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and accommodating. We recommend this property for your next vacation.
Amazing location, enjoyed every bit of minute here. Will definately bisit again.
Karl the owner was great. The hurricane caused a power outage and he called me advised us of that on our day of check in only a few hours after land fall, also called to keep us up to date. Power was restored by next day and myself and family had a awesome time in there home. The pool very clean, home is perfect and very tidy. Anything you could need is there. Kayaking was great.
The property is wonderful.we enjoy staying there.house is confortable and you could find anything that you may need.small town nice and quiet near and also groceries store like walmart and winn dixie.on the other hand neihgbors are so used to silence around that they complein with owners about the music and noice in the backyard where we spend most of the time . beside that was great
Very beautiful place, we will come back but not to this houseopen water even in the single Kayak.
Passage to the Lake of overgrown by grass, it is very difficult to reach
Water in the house smells like hydrogen sulfide. You will need to share the rent with cockroaches, they are not many, but there are some in the kitchen. Please make sure to wash your tableware before eating, it seemed nobody had ever washed mugs and glasses
The water in the pool contains a lot of chloride which is very harmful for the eyes.
Rental fee included cleaning, however the owner charged us extra $ for washing a couple of plates we left in the sink.
Be careful! Check property during check-in and take photos before leaving so you would not be charged additional fees
My family and I enjoyed a perfect getaway! The home and property were exactly what we were looking for, quaint and rustic. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing off the dock, kayaking Lake Rousseau, hanging around the fire pit at night, playing cards on the back porch, and just relaxing in the hammock. We will definitely be back next year!
Travel to Historic Dunnellon and indulge in antique shopping, a terrific variety of restaurants and boat tours and rentals. Visit Rainbow Springs State Park where you can swim and snorkel the sparkling Rainbow River, hike the walking paths and tube or kayak the Rainbow River. There are three local Golf Courses including Citrus Springs Golf and Country Club, Juliette Falls Golf and El Diablo Golf and Country Club.
We are located approx. 95 minutes northwest of Walt Disney World, Orlando and Tampa. Convenient to major airports and Theme Parks. We are also just 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico where you can swim with the Manatees and just over 2 hours from Daytona Beach.
