2 bedroom first floor apartment in a restored 17th Century Inn

Les Epenots is a Luxury Apartment in the famous Wine Village of Pommard and is available to rent all year round.

It is a 2 bedroom first floor apartment in a beautifully restored 17th century Coaching Inn and has views over the gardens of the Chateau Pommard next door.

You will find some of the world's finest vineyards, a boulangerie, epicerie, butcher, bar/café, wine bar, chocolaterie and several restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment. There is a helpful wine merchant in the village square plus opportunities to taste and buy from individual producers.

Les Epenots has been given a 4* status by the Cote d'Or tourist board. Pommard, with Beaune and other nearby villages, has joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2015.

Wunderschöne Wohnung

Über Auffahrt haben wir ein paar traumhafte Tage in "Les Epenots, Clos de Pommard" verbracht. Sowohl die Online-Reservierung, die Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Besitzer und abcbourgogne, die Zahlungsmodalitäten sowie die Anfahrtsbeschreibung inkl. Instruktionen über die Key-Box waren professionell.

Die 2-stöckige Wohnung ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet mit vielen persönlichen Gegenständen der Besitzer, grosse Zimmer, eine lichtdurchflutete Küche, sämtliche Apparate wie Backofen, Toaster, Geschirrspül- und Waschmaschine sowie Mikrowelle vorhanden. Das Apartment war sehr sauber.

Wir würden diese Wohnung jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Vielen Dank an die Besitzer, dass sie ihre Wohnung anderen Leuten zur Verfügung stellen. Wir haben es sehr genossen.

Great Location in Burgundy

Very clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped apartment in Pommard. The owner's artwork and memorabilia throughout the apartment were wonderful and make you feel like you are in someone's home, not just the usual Ikea showroom. Although the lounge is large and comfortable enough, we particularly enjoyed sitting and cooking in the large kitchen with its huge windows that let in lots of light. Kitchen was well-equipped for our needs, including morning coffee. Nice, too, that all of the manuals/instructions are available for someone not used to European appliances. All arrangements were easy to make via email with Rodney. Since we were arriving by car from Switzerland, we were glad to have a lockbox for the key and not have to meet someone at an exact time to let us in (or to check us out). We had reserved bicycles from Bourgogne Randonees (be forewarned that they often are sold out, particularly in September and October), so spent several days exploring by bicycle. Lots of small roads to bike on, not just the marked trail through the vineyards. For dinner out, we like Le Terroir in Santenay. Corinne is a delight. Our week went quickly and we hope to return next year to this apartment to do the many things that we didn't have time to do (and sample more wine, of course). We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in one of the small villages in the Cote de Beaune.

Where "luxury" is not an exaggeration

As the other reviews have suggested, this is an outstanding place to stay. Extremely comfortable, pleasant, and well equipped; it is an ideal base from which to explore the Cote de Beaune. We used it as a base for exploring the Cote d’Or for a week this past November and loved coming home each evening to relax and enjoy our culinary and viniferous finds. The lovely village of Pommard is large enough to provide places to shop and fine restaurants; and it is small enough for them all to be within easy walking distance. The property manager was immediately responsive when we had a question about the electrical system. We did find that the internet was of limited availability, but we understand that this was to be addressed. You might wish to check and determine the current situation.

Burgundy Wine trip

This is really a top class apartment. Spacious, very well equipped, clean and comfortable for 4 persons. Narrow car park on court yard, however, maximum of safety is guaranteed. Pity that there is no small garden or alternative place to sit outside and enjoy surroundings. Very good central located spot to visit the real heart of Burgundy's cotes de Nuits and Beaune. Also documentation impeccable. Simply great!

Owner's Response: We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Les Epenots. Clos de Pommard is a charming conversion of an old coaching inn so unfortunately outside space is at a premium. There is a 40/50m2 gravel and paved courtyard off the carpark with a bench and flowers in pots that is available for all at the Clos but much better to enjoy the large terrace at the cafe just around the corner, the chateau gardens over the road or the many opportunities to picnic in the vines that surround the village.

we were 2 couples exploring wine country and had a wonderful time. the apartment was very spacious and has everything you need. we would definitely return, close to Beaune and so many wineries

Lovely little gem

We have stayed in this unit of Les Epinots several times and can't keep ourselves from coming back. The unit is well-appointed and very comfortable. Photos don't do it justice. We have gone several times with our young son (now 3), and most recently brought our 3-month-old baby. Everyone has always been very comfortable here.

The location is fantastic - Pommard is a lovely, low-key town, proximate to Beaune, but with a wonderful personality of its own.

Rodney (the property manager) is a delight to work with - very responsive and extremely friendly.
