I am giving it one star because I have to
First of all, the Property Manager never answered my messages.
I finally called from the airport, when we were 30 mins out from our check-in time. I left him a VM and he never returned my phone call.
We traveled to the house from the airport and proceeded to wait around in the heat in the driveway. Finally, the property manager answered my phone call and then showed up 45 mins after our check-in time. We realized when he showed up why he didn't want to give us the code to get the key.
There was a lady inside the house!! She had all of her suitcases around her and lots of 'stuff.' We were told that she was waiting for her ride. I'm sorry, but this is completely unacceptable.
There was also a mix-up with the other folks staying there; where we all had to cart our luggage up and down stairs until things were sorted out. This was a terrible beginning to our vacation.
When we (finally) went inside, the owners had all kinds of stuff in the fridge/freezer/cabinets that were just weird: a half-eaten tub of ice cream. open cereal containers. There were even coffee grounds and a dirty coffee pot.
Nope. Never staying here again and I do not recommend it. I'm not sure what is 'smart' about this house - other than the dining room light coming on annoyingly; whenever anyone moves. I finally had to unscrew the lightbulbs.
The pillows were ABSOLUTELY horrible. All of us had stiff necks. I seriously never thought there could be this bad of pillows. I just don't understand it.
I've read previous reviews about how great the property manager is -- I didn't have that same experience, and the guy who rented the apartment above had similar complaints.
I suggest you find somewhere else to stay...
Perfect for a larger group or family
We travelled with four adults and two young children, and were very comfortable in the house. Walkable to Davis Square and to the T. We really appreciated Janesh’s attention as well.
Thank you so much for stayed with us. Hope to see you guys again.
Awesome home everything was perfect!
Very Nice and clean and everything seemed new.
Nobody in our group liked their pillows. Saturday night the people above us on the second floor were very noisy or the ceilings could be better insulated. Sunday night another group arrived like 2am and woke everyone in our group up.
Pretty cheap construction and not great neighborhood
Disappointing. Very loud at night, on main road, thin walls, long way out from any amenities or main areas of Boston
Truly Modern Property
This property was obviously newly renovated with great space for bringing everyone in the group together but also having very private bedrooms and bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have attached private bathrooms, the third bathroom is off the common areas, but easily accessible to the third bedroom. All the appliances are brand new and hi tech, even has a wine fridge!
The other awesome aspect of this property is proximity to the T station, Alewife, easy in and out to Boston. Also very well served by Uber, didn't wait more than a few minutes for rides.
The only thing that could be improved upon would be to buy a pasta strainer for the kitchen, couldn't find one anywhere, lol. But we made do and had a wonderful meal without it.
Overall very happy with the accommodations and the help from property manager, Janesh. Thanks for everything.
