Michele and Dane Goodson Have roots in Florida dating back to the 70’s. Currently we are spending time between New England and Florida. In Connecticut we are running a small business (a Driving School) and Michele works as High School Social Worker. We Have 2 children, one in college. Both our kids love Englewood and visit every opportunity they can.
We have been fortunate to have lived and traveled all through Florida by car and water. Our family loves the water and beaches. We call 1191 Delmar Dr. Toad Hall; no we do not have Toads in the house or yard as far as I know, but rather think of life in Englewood as all the animal characters in Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame.
Our home offers a short drive or bike to the beach, or you can go dock to dock by boat. Englewood is a small sleepy beach town with close access to major metropolitan cities such as Ft Myers, Sarasota, and Tampa. If you don’t want to travel you can find all you need within 5 min of your vacation home.
We welcome you to our home, and like many visitors you may never want to leave.
Dane and Michelle's VRBO property was very well maintained and accommodated our ever need from a fully equipment kitchen to roll away beds in the closets. Quick and positive communications before, during and after our stay was excellent. The out door space was superb with access to the channel right out the back door, the location was far enough off the main drag to be peaceful and quit yet close enough to restaurants, grocery stores and only a short drive to the public beaches. We would recommend this location to anyone, you won't be disappointed and we plan to book again next year if it is available. Thanks for making our stay in Englewood so enjoyable. Thank You, Pat.
Relax on Englewood beach, collect sharks teeth and shells. Enjoy a meal at the White Elephant. The night life on the beach is great at the many restaurants with live music most nights. If nature watching is your thing Stump Pass State Beach, is one of the pretties beaches you will ever see. Leamon bay tours, rent a kayak and paddle with the dolphins and Manatee's.
Manasota Key Beaches, a beautifull drive. You must check out Deerborn St for shopping for many local artists, catch a play at the Leamon Bay Play house.
If you are a fisherman you can tie your boat up to the bock in the back yard, a public boat ramp is less than a mile away.
