About the property

1 bedroomed cottage with real log fire. Single put-up available bed if required.

Piglet's House (private carpark) is fully contained on the ground floor, complete with all mod cons. The cottage is spacious, but cosy as there is a log burning stove and full central heating. The accommodation comprises of a hallway, large bathroom including bath with shower over, double bedroom and a living room that is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with awesome views through the 9 foot wide french doors that open onto a balcony with seating and barbeque. Piglet's House is in the quiet village of Old Town which has its own pub, post office (for most provisions), cricket club, golf club, park and equestrian centre all in easy walking distance. The views, peace and surroundings are unrivalled and despite all this, the much-loved and visited market town of Hebden Bridge is only just over a mile away. The town offers so much, from small shops of character to varied restaurants and exciting attractions. Settle in the heart of the Pennines!

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, their kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Perfect for any kind of holiday, will be revisiting and we would strongly recommend Piglets House to our many friends.

The cottage is very well maintained, warm, attractive and comfortable, all your amenities are fully catered for. The local pub has friendly atmosphere having a good range of local brews and serving wonderful food to boot!

All in all, this cottage is fantastic, a place you will not regret staying at!

Ideal in every respect

  • 5 of 5

The visit to the cottage, local area ,including the welcoming hospitality were all that were hoped for.

The location of Hebden Bridge is ideal, near yet far enough and worth a visit.

Walks from the cottage are peacefully scenic in almost every most direction.

The ideal retreat not far off the beaten track, but able give the impression it is.

Owner's Response: Thank you Trevor for taking the time to write a review. Much appreciated. It was lovely to meet you, your son and of course Kimberley. We are so glad that you both enjoyed Piglet's House and the immediate area. As you have already discussed coming back, we hope to see you again soon. Gill and Nick

Wonderful week in Piglet's Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Just back from a wonderful week in Piglet's Cottage. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thank you Gill and Nick for your warm welcome and hospitality. The cottage is a really great base to explore Hebden Bridge and the beautiful countryside of the Calder Valley. And after a hard day walking up hill and down dale, it was fantastic to relax with a glass of wine on the balcony looking out over the beautiful view. We would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone looking to spend time in the area.
