Come enjoy Mt. Greylock and all The Berkshires has to offer!
About Julie Ryan
I purchased this home 30 years ago and loved raising my daughter in it and running my Home Day Care out of it for 28 of those years. I recently retired to go on to a new adventures in Maple Sugaring and have a sugarhouse just over the line in New York. I still enjoy my home in the Berkshires and love sharing it with others as well when I'm not there.
Julie Ryan purchased this House in 1989
Why Julie Ryan chose Adams
I did a major renovation in 2016 so the main living is now open concept. The lower level is in the process of having a make-over this year in between rentals. You will find this home to be very comfortable and nicely located. It is family, child and pet friendly and filled with everything might need to make your stay an enjoyable one.
What makes this House unique
This home is located in the small town of Adams, MA. Close to many indoor and outdoor activities throughout the Berkshires yet away from the hussel and bussel. It is situated on a dead end street with a semi-private fenced in back yard for a worry free play area for children and pets and a patio with a glider swing and drop down screen for sitting out on warm summer nights. Come to the Berkshires and enjoy the beauty that makes the area so special. Follow us on Facebook at TheGreylockGetaway to keep up on what is happening in the area during every season.

Wonderful weekend stay
We had a laid back great time, the home is very clean and has everything ypu need, the kitchen was spotless and fully stocked, beds were comfortable also. The doggies enjoyed the back yard and Gracie our littlest dog occupied herself when we were visiting the various museums in the area by sitting on the window seat overlooking the neighborhood. We also loved the bike rail trail just down the road from the house.
Perfect Place for us.
Julie was wonderful and accommodating. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The new kitchen was fun to cook in!
We were in Adams visiting relatives so the location was perfect. We even had a small family birthday party at the rental. The fenced in yard is perfect for families with smaller kids. The half bath in the basement was quite handy too. The basement was a perfect play area for kids and teens with a table to play games. There is also a nice little deck outside the back door to sit and enjoy the nice weather.
Over all, a really nice rental unit in an area that doesn't have many.
So glad the house worked out well for you and your family. We would love to have you stay again.
Terrific host and house was perfect for our needs - scenic location, quiet neighborhood, fully stocked kitchen - couldn’t have asked for more. This was our second trip and would definitely use again if in the area.
It was so nice to have you back.
A beautiful home
Julie’s home is beautiful with everything you would need for a stay. She even has dog bowls and poop bags if you have forgotten them. The house was spotless. The neighborhood was quiet. My dog loved the beautiful yard. I will definitely stay here again.
So glad you and your dog enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to have you here.
We loved our stay. Staying again next year.
The house was clean and comfy. Easy to find, in a great location within a few miles of local attractions. We went to the Fresh Grass Music Festival at Mass MoCA and will be returning next year to Julie's house.
I had a question or two and Julie responded right away. She was very responsive.
I stay in this type of rental whenever we go away. This one was particularly welcoming. I don't know what it was - just "come on in and make yourselves at home" kind of feeling.
Beds are comfortable. Two kinds of coffee makers with a few K-cups to get us started.
It was nice and exactly what we needed after a long day out in the sun.
So glad you enjoyed your stay....See you next year!
Perfect family getaway
Julie's house was an absolute pleasure to stay in with our two-year-old! We couldn't have asked for a better set-up: big, fenced-in yard with play structures to explore, a play kitchen near the actual kitchen and blocks and books and lots of space in the basement. She even put out a little potty for us! It was all so safe and entertaining for our kid that we were able to really relax and enjoy the fresh air and mountain views. The house was clean, very comfortable, and easy to feel at home in, and Julie was great with communication. MASS MoCA, one of our reasons for choosing the area, was a short drive away. Even closer was a great new playground and splash pad, conveniently located near an awesome fish-fry and soft-serve stand. We took a a walk down the hill into town for a great breakfast at the Daily Grind and enjoyed Adams' historic main street and the Quaker cemetery. Julie was full of more great recommendations for things to do in the area. I only wish we'd had more time!
Makes me so happy to hear you all had s great time including your little one. Hope you come stay with us again next year.
