Overview

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Cornwall - Menifters Holiday Cottages

1 and 2 bedroom cottages overlooking Falmouth Bay

Situated just 1 mile from the coast the cottages look out over unspoilt farmland with beautiful views towards the sea where boats can be seen in Falmouth Bay. The cottages, which have been converted from a 200 year old Cornish barn are set in gardens and paddock of 5 acres.

Each cottage is fully equipped for all your self catering needs.and there is a laundry room. There are no additional charges for heating or electricity. We do ask that you bring your personal towels.

There are 2 one bedroom cottages that have a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom for 2 people. The 2 bedroom cottages will sleep 4 people.

We regret no pets allowed

Porthallow Cove is just over a mile away and a footpath takes you down to this small seaside village. Porthallow has a pub which provides lunchtime and evening meals. 2 miles away is St Keverne which has a post office, shops, 2 pubs and a restaurant. Menifters is also situated just 4 miles from Helford river.

Menifters are no smoking cottages

A rural location: This part of Cornwall offers the opportunity to get away from the crowds and traffic. It is a rural community and you are as likely to meet a tractor on the lanes as another car. There are no high rise flats and hotels in this area and the many footpaths offer the chance to truly find peace and tranquility. From Menifters you can walk to Porthallow Cove in 25 minutes from where you can join the coastal path, Porthallow is the mid point of the South West Coastal path.

Please see our web site for more information and special offers www.menifterscottages.co.uk

Helford: We are 4 miles from Helford village, a small and beautiful Hamlet situated on the Helford River. The navigable river goes inland as far as Gweek and his stretch is characterised with steeply wooded hills and Creeks, most of which can be explored on foot and many by car.

From Helford you can take the Passenger Ferry Boat across the river to Helford Passage. A two mile walk from here will take you to the delightful and exotic gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan.

Porthallow Cove

In our lovely new village hall on the beach, there is a film night (all welcome) every second Monday of the month:

This is a first floor barn conversion with far reaching views. Large granite steps at the rear of the building provide access: this may not be suitable for very young children. There is a small entrance lobby with the toilet/shower room and single bedroom leading off. The bedroom has full size bunk beds. The lobby leads into an open plan lounge/diner with the kitchen situated off the dining area. The double bedroom is accessed from the lounge. There is access to the rear garden with garden furniture. We regret we do not accept pets.

Herrliche Ruhe...

  • 4 of 5

Nette Vermieter.

Car: necessary

Helford River: renowned for its tree lined creeks, wild life and endless tales of smuggling and shipwrecks. You can also hire motorboats, sailing boats and rowing dinghies.

National Trust's Glendurgan: and Trebah Gardens are two of the great sub-tropical gardens of the south west.

Pendennis Castle: from Henry VIII fortress to the secret World War II base..

Porthkerris Diving Centre: A professional PADI 5* Dive Centre on the Lizard Peninsular. They offer the whole range of PADI Scuba Diving Courses. Have a go at diving with a 'Try Dive' under expert guidance. It has one of the best shore dives and offers RIB and hard boat charters to local reefs and wrecks.

Flambards Village Theme Park: fun for the children whatever the weather.

Poldark Mine: experience the thrill of an underground tour in a genuine Cornish Tin Mine.

If you prefer walking there is the South West Coastpath, Porthallow is the halfway point
