If you want to stay somewhere that's not your run-of-the-mill rental apartment and you enjoy great design and being in beautiful surroundings, this place is for you. We have worked hard to create a place that has all the flair of a hip hotel but with the comfort and ease of having your own apartment.
We are situated in small 300 year old building. There is no lift but we are only the 2nd floor so it is not as strenuous and many infamous Paris 'walk-ups'. The communal corridor has been sympathetically restored and the building is clean and quiet.
With 3.5m ceilings and large windows, it feels very spacious for it's 32sqm size. It has been decorated with a mix of antiques and modern convenience and luxury. The beautiful, large kitchen table means you'll enjoy eating in as much as exploring the fantastic local restaurants.
All bed linen is good quality 100% cotton and pillows and quilts are goose feather and down. (We also have non-allergenic pillows available on request).
We fully renovated the apartment 5 years ago and have recently given it a 'touch-up' with new tiling in the bathroom and a fresh coat of paint.
Radiant under-floor heating keeps the place cozy in the winter and high-ceilings and fans keep it cool in the summer.
We are a French/Australian couple who have lived in all kinds of places around the world.
We currently live on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean where we own and operate an eco resort called Manicou River.

We have always loved this part of Paris so when we decided to buy we limited our search to the 2nd Arrondissement.
When we bought this apartment it was an absolute mess. We lovingly gut renovated it over a year and finally finished at the end of 2010 just time to spend 2 months there for our honeymoon.
Wherever we live in the world, we always call Paris home and we try to spend at least a few weeks in the apartment every year.
We designed it to be a home for ourselves, not just a rental apartment and we believe this is reflected in the comfort and details we have included.

Perfect location - a quite street in the middle of one of the cities hippest and most up-and-coming neighbourhoods.
Underfloor heating - wonderful in winter.

This apartment had everything one could need to make their stay in Paris a memorable one.
Located a minute away from a fantastic market area and great shops, it made it easy to jump into the Parisan way of life.
Other than the drain clogging from time to time, we found the apartment comfortable and in a great area.

First off, we love this apartment and we love the location. This is our second time staying here, and last time it was a five star review. Unfortunately the apartment has not been maintained at the level it requires. The shower overflowed on the first day, flooding the bedroom floor right out to the hallway. Maite arrived later that day to fix the situation - but it could have been a disaster had we not unpacked and removed everything from the floor prior to using the shower. This apartment has the potential to be fabulous - with lots of great amenities and an outstanding location. With proper maintenance, and someone giving it the attention required, it will be a five star once again. We hope to return in the future.
We loved our stay at Rue de Clery - everything about it, the location, the easy communication and check in, the helpful referrals, and the clean, quiet apartment. It was a perfect spot to relax during our stay and had everything we needed, including delicious coffee, a wine opener, and good knives! We look forward to staying again when we next come to Paris. This nice little apartment is located right in the heart of Paris in a quite side street near to restaurants, supermarket, shops, etc. A super location for experiencing Paris by foot.
The kitchen and living area are nice but the bathroom and bedroom were showing signs of wear (eg.the cushions on the bed were a bit grubby and the bathroom was showing signs of water damage.) A few things contributed to my "average" rating.. For example we arrivedi after 27 hours of travelling and didn't have any dry bathroom towels ( the tumble dryer wasn't working). Also, the TV remote wasn't working and we were told to buy new batteries for it (not a big deal. We weren't there to watch TV but these things should be in working order). Great restaurant recommendations provided and the apartment is well located ....so close to our favourite.... Frenchies!
Excellent location - central but very quiet. Apartment clean and comfortable, supermarkets/bakeries etc within easy walking distance. Communication with owners and manager good. Would definitely book this again.
Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in diesem hübschen, wirklich sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Appartement, in dem es an nichts fehlt.
Die Lage ist ebenfalls toll: sehr zentral, wenige Meter von der belebten, sympathischen Fußgängerzone "Montorgueil" entfernt und von einer Velib-Fahrradstation.
Unkomplizierte und verlässlicher Kontakt mit den Besitzern, bzw, Maïté.
Perfectly located in the centre of Paris, this is the part of Paris to be in if you like access to all the tourist sites without being in a 'touristy' area.
15 minutes walk in any direction can take you to The Louvre, Le Marais, Pompidou Centre and a whole range of other great neighbourhoods, sites and museums.
We have many great local markets, shops, restaurants and bars, (many of which we have sampled and left a list of recommendations in the flat.) The famous restaurant 'Frenchies' is just around the corner!
The wonderful market street rue de Montorgueil, with it's fabulous food shops, partiseries and cafés, is just down the road.
Three different Metro lines are within a moments walk and Gare du Nord (where the Eurostar comes in) is just 5 minutes in a cab or three stops on the Metro. You can even walk from the Eurostar if you don't have too much luggage!
If you like music, we are surrounded by walking-distance Jazz Clubs including the historical 'New Morning' where Miles Davis used to play. And the Paris Opera is just up the road.
If you've come to Paris to shop you can be at the department stores of Les Grand Boulevards, the arcades of Les Halles or the chic boutiques of rue st Honore in less than 15 mins walk.
Or you can be down to Pont Neuf and across into the Left Bank and St Germain de Pres in a pleasant 20 minute stroll.
Our neighbourhood is very well serviced with pick-up points for Paris' easy-to-use bicycle and electric car rental services.
Despite all this action, our street is small and relatively quite.
It really is hard to find a better location in Paris.
