We had a lovely Christmas with family and friends. The house had great social spaces to eat and relax.
Thank you and a happy new year to all of you.
Great place to stay with friends
Very rural property with lovely views. Plenty room for 6 to 8 people to get together. There was no prior communication and we had to phone to find out how to access the property. Bring all your own food, coffee, tea, etc as the shops are a long way off. Well stocked for dishes, cutlery, cookware, etc. however we had to wash several pieces of these before use as obviously not checked between bookings.
Beautiful lodge in beautiful surroundings
We were looking for accommodation in the Rannoch area and found this lovely lodge. Nicely laid out with huge loving area and well equipped kitchen. The place is well maintained and has everything you need for a stay away. Despite being remote, the WiFi connection was great and Sky box (Freeview only) had enough to entertain the children.
Interesting colour of water which was drinkable post boiling though we bought some bottled as well.
It is remote - bring what you need as nearest shop is half an hour drive away!
Thanks Lisa - It is nice to get some recognition of our ladies and the gent who do their do their best to look after the place.
Loch Rannoch Lodge
Great for peace and quiet as the lodge is accessible approx 18 miles down the loch. The Lodge has ample room for around 9 people and is laid out on a split level for something different. Has usuall in house facilities, large screen TV washing machine, dishwasher etc. to a good standard. Because of the remoteness of the property, the water pressure suffers and you have to be patient with the plumbing/hot water but then I guess that is to be expected a little off the beaten track, a small price to pay. It is a must to explore the scenery of other Lochs nearby, namely Tummel and "Queen's View" and we were delighted to see wild deer on our travels and the quaintness of Rannock rail station. We were happy with our stay in this picturesque part of the world in this large but conversely cozy property. A nice time out from the ratrace and our hectic working lives. I appreciated the owner taking a telephone call from me prior to the holiday. Many thanks-Paul and The Simpsons.
Thank you Paul.
The property was ideal for my purposes last weekend.
The plumbing slightly dodgy (e.g. water pressure in the showers/toilets) but that doesn’t bother me.
The photos of the garden on the website are out of date and don’t do justice to it - it’s now much more “mature”.
Thanks very much for your excellent feedback. Our water pressure is generated from a tank at the top of the hill. We will have to investigate what else we can do to improve it.
Overall great property, very spacious and we all enjoy the weekend we received.
Was very quick and easy to rent this property, I would happily go back here again.
The photos don’t do it justice, and the living area is excellent for games and socialising.
Thank you for an excellent weekend from me and my friends.
Thank you Sophie. Much appreciated. We must be doing something right.
