Beautiful but secluded
The house and surrounding area was beautiful. Clean with everything you need. However it just over an hour to Pitlochry village. Long road into house. Very secluded and quiet but good if that’s what you wanting
We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our house managers do their very best to keep it clean and tidy. We are lucky to have them in the middle of nowhere. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
Place of tranquility
The lodge is in a great location for piece and quiet, layout is perfect for family time.the only things that weren’t quite Wright was there was a very un pleasant smell like curry/dirty bin bag through out the lodge that lingered all weekend, water temp and pressure in shower very poor, boiler very noise when runnng water and there is a jacuzzi bath that doesn’t work so there will be water sitting in pipes that when you fill the bath will mix with fresh water making the bath in hygienic
if you like remote but still fairly close to town this is it. Awesome to drive to Rannock station and take the train, we did the 12 mile walk from Corrour station back to Rannoch. Very remote area, fact is the most remote train station in the UK. The distilleries are close by for awesome day trips. The train to Fort William is very handy also.
The house is very spacious and very comfortable, WIFI was great.
Praise indeed from Canada where things are on a much grander scale.
This is a beautiful property, very clean, gorgeous countryside. It was a little more remote than we had expected, but that made for a very quiet, private stay. Be sure to bring plenty of bottled water, as the tap water is a very unappealing yellow-brown color. I gave it only four stars because the mattresses were horribly uncomfortable. If the owner were to invest in some new, comfortable mattresses, I would definitely stay here again.
Thanks Susan - we can't do much about the local water but we can change the mattresses.
Everything you need to escape it all.
Perfect base for a weekend of cycling.
Thanks Matthew - please come back for the ETAP Caledonian in May. It goes past our house.
Wonderful property, thanks for letting us borrow it!
We hope you do it again soon.
