This fully furnished airy and private living space is a 500 sq. ft ground floor studio with a private entrance, an additional sliding door to a small lanai with a dining table and lounge chair, access to an outdoor shower and off street parking.
Located close to beaches, mountains, town, shopping, restaurants, churches, and is just a short drive to either side of the island.
Upgraded amenities include, kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner hotplate, microwave, counter top convection oven and outdoor BBQ, full bath and shower, queen size bed, sleeper sofa, washer/dryer, cable TV/DVD player, CD player and internet access. The refrigerator will be stocked with continental breakfast items upon your arrival.
During your stay in Hamana'ulu Town, meet your neighbors and buy fresh fish, fruits/vegetables or some of Kaua'i's favorite foods from a roadside vendor.

Our stay on Kaua’i from May 16-23, 2016 was made all the more enjoyable by Wendy sharing her home as well as her local insight and advice with my wife and myself. Our positive experience began even prior to our trip as emails and text messages were answered quickly and informatively. Wendy adjusted her schedule to accommodate our arrival; then spent about an hour or more showing us around the property and addressing our numerous questions or requests for advice. The sizeable binder of island information she has complied was a valuable asset to us then and throughout our stay.
Our level of the house was clean, comfortable, decorated appropriate to the locale and equipped with all the closet space, appliances, dishes and utensils we required. The refrigerator and a welcome basket were thoughtfully stocked with daily necessities and island delicacies. Two ceiling fans are available. However, during our stay at least, open windows and the trade winds provided adequate air circulation and kept the temperature inside pleasant. I appreciated the availability of a CD player and a collection of Hawaiian music CD’s in a variety of styles. It was an unexpected opportunity to learn more of that aspect of the culture. Another pleasant surprise was the chance to experience the sense of separateness and privacy that architectural design and landscaping can achieve in the midst of a densely built neighborhood typical to many such communities on the islands.
The location of the house on the island was also an advantage to us. Our plans included visiting sites in the Eastern, Southern and Western regions of Kaua’i so the Lihue area seemed to us a point centrally located to the destinations that were of interest to us. What we found when we arrived in Hanama’ulu was that we were: a 15 minute drive from the airport; 10 minutes to Rice St.; 5 minutes to Hanama’ulu Beach; 20 minutes to Lydgate Beach Park/Wailua River; 45 minutes to Waimea Canyon and a 10 minute walk to the neighborhood seafood market.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ko Malmanui Hale and enthusiastically recommend you consider staying there as well.
We loved our stay. Wendy was wonderful to work with and was very accommodating to our travel schedule. Its central location was great for getting around the island. It was only a few minutes from the airport and the main road that would take you north, south or west! The listing description was great and we had no unexpected issues. The outdoor shower was a great amenity to have since we came back very sandy and didn't have to track it through the house. We would definitely stay here again and have already told several of our friends to stay here as well! Thanks Wendy!

This is really a little studio apartment with everything you would have in your own home..so it makes everything so very easy! Towels, first aide kit, dishes, toaster, all the little things a home has that you find you need on vacation but have to do without or buy. Wendy had all my favorite snacks stocked in the fridge as well. The apartment is beautiful, with tile floors, etc. a little patio, laundry, and a laundry line..even an outdoor shower complete with beach equipment. You couldn't ask for a more outfitted place! Wendy is a great hostess, and I experienced nothing but kindness from all the people in Kauai! This location is central to the whole east and south coast..all beaches, the gardens, etc.are just a few minutes away. Also...nice and quiet, private...JUST THE BEST!
My husband and I stayed with Wendy for 5 days. Wendy was very nice and informative about the island. The room was very comfortable and it was great to have a full size fridge. I loved having a grill on the patio and a washer and dryer. The bathroom is updated. Plenty of hangers in the closet along with extra bath towels, beach towels, ice chests, ironing board and iron. Overall my husband and I would definitely stay there again if we make it back to Kauai.
