Lillian Bickel purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Lillian Bickel chose Parrita
I travelled to Costa Rica in 2008 looking for a vacation home in. Within 4 months I became the proud owner of Casa Feliz. I was most impressed with the Developer's vision of a "Master-Planned Community" designed by renowned architects woven into rolling hills with plans for a Regional Town Center, an 18-hole Golf Course, Custom homes. Luxury Villas, Quaint hand-laid Brick Roads and Lush TropIcal Landscaping. I fell in love with the "developer's vision" and am became the proud owner of Casa Feliz 60-days after my first visit to the Resort. Our central location on the Pacific Coast Highway is another reason I purchased my condo. Guests can use Del Pacifico as their home base and travel from one end of Costa Rica to the other in one (1) day.. The bus stop is across the highway and right in front of the Town Centre. Backpacking guests can walk down from the condo, jump on one of CR's fine public buses and go anywhere in the country for a few colones. I was particularly impressed with the quality of construction--thick stucco-clad walls, clay tile roofs, ornate iron trip, ceramic tile stairways, teak and italian tile flooring, majestic balconies, granite counter tops, stainless appliances, dishwashers, garbage disposal, 10ft- high ceilings, ceiling fans, air conditioning, etc., etc. Del Pacifico is "City Close and Country Quiet." It's close enough to Jaco and Parrita, but far enough away to be a quiet, restful retreat from the noises and the bustling crowds. The proximity to Bejuco Beach is another reason I bought my property. Bejuco Beach is one of the most spectacular, yet undiscovered, beaches in all of Costa Rica;and truly one of the greatest places in the world for morning walks and evening sunsets
What makes this Villa unique
Unique Benefits of Casa Feliz: 1) Pacific Ocean Views--You are are situated on the 2nd floor of a stand alone building located high on a hill providing unsurpassed ocean views, evening sunsets and the roaring sounds ocean waves. 2) Proximity to Complex Amenities---We are on the 2nd ridge of the complex--a short walk to the Complex Pool, the Management Office, the Resort Supermarket and Restaurants. The MBR Balcony has great visual and verbal access to the community swimming pool, wading pool, hot tub, the Rancho/Pavillion and the tropical gardens below. . 3) Sights and Sounds of CR Songbirds--The master balcony outside the Great Room is surrounded by 30 foot high tropical trees, populated by tropical canaries, parakeets and colorful MacCaws, can only be experienced from the master balcony of "Condo 11." The balcony is a my favorite spot in the early morning to relax in the "cool" morning breezes with a steaming cup of Costa Rican coffee enjoying the sights and sounds of the multitude of songbirds who have a fondness for the many branches of the adjacent shade trees. 4) Proximity to Bejuco Beach---This relatively undiscovered beach, only 5 minutes away, is spectacular and goes on for miles and miles with picturesque palm trees. It's contamination free "Blue Flag" designation makes it a #1 for wading in the surf, jumping waves, shelling or building sand castles. 5) Proximity to Tico restaurants and fresh from the ocean seafood menu delights. 6) Low Occupancy: Due to the large number of absentee owners in the complex, it would not be unusual for you and/or your group to have the entire pool complex and the Lanai Pavilon to yourselves for the majority of your stay. 7) Tropical Forest Views--Casa Feliz is the first building on the middle ridge next to the cobblestone road. On the north side of the road is a tropical rain forest that can be enjoyed from the Casa Feliz's main balcony or stairway.

Would highly recommend this place!
Memories & Elegant Surroundings
Beautifully furnished condo with picturesque views of pools, ocean & sunsets all very private and relaxed & close to grocery, restaurants, the ocean to walk the beach, sunset the birds the monkeys our own gecko down by pool. How could you ask for more. Gated Community for safety & privacy!! THANK YOU Jacque
Wonderful condo. Helpful owner.
This was our first time visiting Costa Rica and I have to say that one of the highlights - if not THE highlight - of our stay was this outstanding condo! The resort itself is impeccably maintained with a well designed and interesting landscape, as well as a spotless pool/hot tub. The convenient location between Parrita and Jaco made it easy for exploring the area.
The "town center" as the entrance of the resort provided a number of places to eat and a "better than expected" food market. This, of course, only enhanced our overall experience.
Before and during our stay, Lillian was quick to respond to our questions and gave us her personal recommendations regarding the area's many attractions.
Your very positive review of my condo, our Resort and my assistance is most honoring. I’m fortunate that you selected Casa Feliz at the Villas Del Pacifico for your Costa Rica vacation. The condo, the resort and the area on the coast of the Pacific Ocean are truly the “jewel choice” for vacationers.
Thank you. Please come back.
This is a nice condo located in a development with beautiful grounds and several pools. It would be best to have a car as it is not located in a community, however, there is some shopping within walking distance. It is not exactly located in Parritas. There is a small grocery store, some boutiques, a bakery, and several restaurants just outside the development. The food was excellent in the restaurants we tried. There is not adequate signage if you are approaching the property by car without someone who knows the location. We found that out when the airline tried to deliver a piece of luggage to us that did not make its connection. There is local bus service available which is very inexpensive nearby; you will need colones to ride, and you also need to pay attention to landmarks to be sure the driver stops. This was our fourth trip to Costa Rica and the first time in this location. There is beach access across a busy highway. The property was very quiet, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings and enjoying a light breakfast or reading there. The weather was excellent, and of course we enjoyed the tropical breezes. There are 42 steps from the ground to the doorway of this unit, so you may need help with your luggage and maybe it isn’t suitable if stairs are difficult for you. We were 3 adults, and were very comfortable in this space.
Relax by the pool in a lush and green setting
Great location between Jaco and Quepos. Many restaurants and shops were within a 5 - 10 minute walk. The condo is beautiful and nicely furnished. We had the pool to ourselves for most of the week. There are some things that need maintenance. The hot water fluctuated between scalding and cold, and the blinds are worn out. Overall, a wonderful week with superb weather in early December.
A true hidden gem in paradise!
My family and I stayed at Casa Feliz for 10 nights Dec'18. I am so glad I came across this property, it is absolutely stunning! So tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was so nice every morning getting up to have our coffee on the large balcony, seeing and listening to the birds. The villa is really clean and well stocked with dishes and appliances to prepare meals. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area lovely. Easy drive from San Jose and a short walk to Playa Bejuco across the road.We loved that there was a "Town Plaza" just at the entrance of the property. Good little supermarket, with fresh baked baguettes every morning, several nice restaurants, coffee shop, craft brew, pizza. We particularly liked La Fondua. You are situated within easy reach of Manuel Antonio park , Quepos with its marina and Dominical (two stunning waterfalls) to the south and Jaco and lots more lovely beaches to the north. We saw so much wildlife it was amazing - from scarlet macaws, monkeys, frogs and even a sloth with a baby! If you want a jungle drive with a breathtaking view and a little adventure try TiKo Restaurante Mirador Surf & Turf. Fantastic service, food and view! I could go on and on about this villa - how beautiful and comfortable it is - and the owner Lillian Bickel is excellent to communicate with. If you are thinking of visiting this area don't hesitate with this property. It truly is paradise - we would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Casa Feliz is a designer condo occupying the entire 2100 square foot second story of the stand alone building in the Del Pacifico Resort directly above Unit 9 Both units have the same floor plan, the same finish outs, sleeps six people and has similar rates; but the interior furnishings are quite different. The upper balconies of Casa Feliz; however, has magnificent views from it's 2nd story elevation.
Del Pacifico is in the Province of Puntarenas strategically set in the rolling hills of the Esterillos Este countryside in the splendor of exotic Costa Rica rain forests and palm-fringed coasts of the Pacific Ocean.
To get to the Resort you will drive 1:45 minutes from the airport in San Jose by rental car or shuttle on Interstate Highway 27 and Pacific Coast Highway 34 on new and/or well maintained highways. Along the way you will have breathtaking views of the countryside, and drive past quaint villages, custom villas, Tico, tourist shops and many roadside fruit and vegetable stands. Stop and pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables if time permits.
Casa Feliz is ideally situated between the the towns of Jaco (18 Km to the North) and Parrita (10 Km to the South). Jaco is a popular tourist town and Parrita is a quaint Costa Rican town. Both towns provide all of the services you might desire..
Surfing is a big sport in the area. You can join locals and visitors alike on Saturdays at the Backyard Bar in Jaco drinking Mojitos and viewing surfing competitions. Few guests know that there is a great Farmer's Market on Fridays in downtown Jaco on Friday's--a great place to stock up on fruits and vegetables again..
About 40 minutes south of Casa Feliz the Sports-Fishing town of Quepos. Just south on the outskirts of Quepos is the enormously popular Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica's most celebrated spots
Casa Feliz is ideally located for " day trips" to popular attractions in the surrounding area including--ziplining, canopy, whale-watching and waterfall tours, snorkeling, kayaking, deep-sea fishing and fly fishing. A 2-3 day trip to the Nicoya Peninsula enjoying its white sand beaches, deep blue ocean water, its picturesque coastal communities and indigenous people should also be considered.
Situated just across the highway from the Del Pacifico Resort is Bejuco Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches in all of Costa Rica. The beach stretches for miles. With palm-fringed beach on the one side and crashing on the other side, make it truly a place to embrace. Relatively undiscovered by locals and tourists, one can walk for hours and pass only a handful of people while you meander along the surf. You can wade across a shallow inlet at the north end you will likely have the beach all to yourself. A little known fact is that Bejuco Beach has the coveted "Blue Flag Beach" designation for its debris-free shores and sanitary waters.
My favorite times to visit the beach are early morning and late afternoon. Early morning visits are good for beach combing, shelling and breakfast at the Delfin Resort Hotel's beachfront restaurant watching the waves come crashing in. Late afternoon visits are specifically to capture glorious sunsets on the Pacific Ocean. For guests, this is absolutely a "Mist Do."
If you like horseback riding, immediately south of the Resort is a Costa Rican Riding Stable with experienced guides and horses for all skill levels. Late afternoon rides heading deep into a tropical rain forest crossing streams, winding through trees and vegetation, then climbing up high hills for awesome views of the ocean and scenic vistas. The ride then crosses highway down a dirt road to the beach just in time for the another memorable red/orange sunset . If you are an experienced riders can the guides will let you cantor on the beach or romp in the ocean surf if desired.
If you like dining out, the area has a number of great local restaurants specializing in fresh seafood dishes. Fried Red Snapper, fresh off the fishing boats, is my personal favorite. Remarkable local restaurants are sprinkled along the way from Parrita in the south to Jaco in the North. Lists of recommended restaurants are available in the condo.
