We stayed at the property for 9 nights in October and from the moment we walked through the door, we immediately felt as though we were at home. After staying in various other properties throughout America, this one has many little things which make it stand out above the others.
The house is located in a quiet area, with a golf course at the back. It was lovely to sit in the screened porch area in a morning and watch the people play. There is a gas powered grill, which we used several times to cook an evening meal, as the weather was warm and dry.
Supermarkets and grocery stores are only 10 minutes away, so you can easily stock up on provisions.
There are bikes in the garage, and the area is ideal for use, as the roads are very quiet and there are cycle paths on Barefoot Landing. You can bike over the bridge to the shops and along the river path. There are also bars and restaurants in the shopping complex, which is just 2 miles from the house.
Myrtle Beach is about a 20 minute drive away, but is well worth a visit and parking is plentiful.
If you are lucky enough to be able to stay for at least a week there are many places to visit nearby within a couple of hours drive each way. We did Charleston for an easy day visit that wasn’t too tiring. There are lots of lovely plantation houses to visit in the area.
The home is beautifully laid out and the pictures do not do it justice; it is as though the renter actually lives there all the time and has just moved out to enable you to stay for a while. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need, including a full spice rack, numerous pots and pans, dishes, cutlery and all the things you would have in your own house.
The master bedroom has a king size bed which is so comfortable you won’t want to get up in the morning! There are 2 further bedrooms upstairs, which again are nicely laid out and 2 bathrooms.
The living room has a very large TV with numerous channels to keep you entertained, and there is also a DVD player and films to watch. Each bedroom also has a TV.
The dining area has a large table and there is a breakfast table next to the kitchen, but we preferred to eat outside and watch the golfers, or listen to the birds.
We made the booking with Linda and she was the most helpful renter we have ever dealt with. She answered any questions we had, however trivial and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Linda made contact several times while we were there, just to c
