Rachel replaces caned or woven seats in damaged chairs or stools.
Katharine and Rachel Miller purchased this cabin in 1994
The 'Cabinland' has belonged to our family for a number of years. Our cabin is nestled in a private, wooded area, but close to Interstate 68 and the small town of Grantsville, Maryland
a restful, peaceful cabin beautiful country side, amid the rolling hills. Nearby State park
We had a wonderful time at your cabin, even though the snow and wind prevented us from visiting the national park, we still had a good time and reminds us of where we came from a village in Africa.
Happy New Year.
It was a very sweet place. Well taken care of and relaxing. No wifi which was great for relaxing.
When my husband and I arrived everything was neat and clean. There was a little personal touch of flowers on the kitchen table for us which was so sweet. The cabin was PERFECT! It was quaint, romantic, quiet and just out of the way enough for total privacy and close enough to do some shopping or hiking if we wanted to. Thank you ladies for making this the best ever. It was so cozy and nice that I really didn't want to leave.

We had a wintery weekend at the cabin and really enjoyed it. It was very snowy and the cabin was very warm, especially with the gas logs in the fireplace. We hiked down to Penn Alps by going down Miller Zook Road and then on the sidewalk along the main road, then through Casselman River Bridge State Park, and into the Artisan Village at Penn Alps. Pretty short walk, actually! Did some Christmas shopping there, too! We felt nice and secluded at the cabin despite being so close to some restaurants and shops. It's a quiet road with just a few neighbors and lots of trees around the little cabin. We thought it was a great, cozy winter getaway!
beautuful little log cabin in a wooded area. Exactly what we wanted. Quiet and relaxing. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here!
Not a happy stay at all! The fire place did not work, we were close to downtown Gransville. Definitely not out in the country. Spiders oh the spiders. I don't mind a few but we must have killed at least 15 in the one night we did stay. We called the owners about the fireplace but they were to involved in family affairs. Not close to Deep Creek Lake by all means! Not worth the price you have to pay to stay there. Was taking our dog for a walk and there where houses all around. The cabin was so musty smelling when we arrived it smelled as though it had not been thoroughly cleaned in such a long time. Several nice antiques....even the bed was antique. It was definitely worn out. Save your money. This place is not worth it!
The place was as described, great property and owner, easy check in. highly recommended. very calm in between woods, great privacy and amenities. Was provided with clean house and clean towels and good kitchen. Only issue is hope Ms. Kat /Ms. Rachel change the master bed, it had lived up its life, hence not comfortable as one would expect. We wish we could have stayed longer if not for work. Will definitely return to same place if opportunity presents.
. Woodland Rill Cabin is located in Grantsville, a wonderful small town in Garrett County, Maryland. Grantsville has several restaurants, an antique shop, and a small state park where you may walk across the historic Casselman Stone Arch Bridge, which used to be part of the National Road. The winding roads surrounding Grantsville invite you to enjoy the country side. In our little town. In Spring you may see sugar water being processed into maple syrup. Amish farmers are often in the fields from spring through autumn - planting, cultivation, harvesting. Western Maryland offers year round recreation. Garrett County's outdoor adventure includes great hiking, biking, white water sports, fly fishing, down hill and cross country skiing, tennis, horseback riding, golf, and lake sports, including boating. In the nearby town of Oakland, one of the newest features of winter fun in Garrett County is dog sled rides and horse drawn sleigh rides. And in the summer you may choose to have horse drawn carriage ride with one of our friendly farmers.
