About Leticia Cespedes
Hola!! My name is Leticia Cespedes and I own Las Brisas Villa #2 in the village of Playa Hermosa. I grew up most of my life living in the Los Angeles County. I have two adult daughters and one granddaughter. I've been married for 40 years to my loving Costa Rican husband. We both work in Real Estate and currently are semi-retired. We visit several times a year to visit family, friends and of course Playa Hermosa for relaxation. I hope you are able to enjoy this lay back friendly beach town and the beach with many activities to do as much as I have over 20 years. Also, please contact me I like to give discounts to my guests!
Leticia Cespedes purchased this Villa in 2011
Why Leticia Cespedes chose Playa Hermosa
My husband and I have been visiting this area of Guanacaste for over 20 years with family and friends. The reasons we purchased this vacation home are for the convenience of having a home near the beach, for its peacefulness and relaxation. Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste has soft waves, warm weather and beautiful sunsets. Aside being a sleepy beach town you can still find good restaurants, bars and nice people. On the beach there are so many activities to keep you busy and have lots of fun.
What makes this Villa unique
The unique benefits that you will find is the one minute walk to the beach, the ocean view from the balcony, the saltwater pool, 24/7 security and the complimentary use of the amenities at the Condovac Resort next door.

This location was perfect. Beach was a very short walk across the street but close enough that you could let the sound of the ocean relax and put you to sleep at night. You wake up in the mornings to the sounds of the beautiful birds in the area and the howling monkeys. Monkeys were also seen several time from the villa windows. The villa was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The management staff and owners of the property are very helpful should any repairs be needed. We would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a quiet relaxing getaway.
This place was a great location with easy access to the beach.
Pictures don't do this place justice! The condo is very clean, spacious, and safe. It is only one block to the beach! We debated to rent a place with a view or a place closer to the beach and were happy with our decision. From the condo, you can hear the waves crashing and howler monkeys. The pool is very nice, just steps from the condo. We swam every night after dinner, listening to monkeys and cooling off.
There is 24/7 security at the condo complex. The guards don't speak any English but are friendly. Very safe...when we checked out, I realized I missed a patio door that had been unlocked the entire week! I checked doors every night before bed and thought we were locked tight so, it's safe there with barbed wire fencing around the perimeter.
We cooked breakfast every morning and packed lunch for the day. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washer/dryer.
Next door you have access to the Condovac Resort beach with shade, lounge chairs, and access to boogie boards and medical if needed. You can ride the Condovac shuttle up the hill to amazing views, decent pool, and restaurant (woodfired pizza!). No shade at the pool though and it is very hot there! Drinks were just OK, nothing fancy.
Playa Hermosa beach area was nice, several beach restaurants and a small grocery store. It is a black sand beach and so you can't see in the water and there are poisonous but not aggressive sea snakes on the beach. It is very hot so you need to be OK swimming with sea critters of all kinds (stingrays, jellys, snakes, etc). Lots of friendly and hungry iguanas to share your lunch with on the beach!
We took a sailboat across the bay to snorkel where we saw dolphins swim along the boat, lots of fish, and monkeys in the trees. We rented a car at the airport and went on day trips. Condovac has a concierge to help book trips.
We had a fabulous time at Las Brisas! Highly recommended.
Better than Advertised!
We were a group of six with two teenagers. The condo was ample room and the kitchen was well equipped. WIFI was good. Lots of space on the patio. The pool was great. The added bonus of being able to use the resort next door was excelllent. The beach was really 50m away and a great seafood restaurant 25m away. The beach is fabulous with excellent waves for body surfing and mother nature cleans it every night. Best beach we've been to in CR. We went down to beach for the sunset almost every night. This place comes highly recommended.
I'm so content that you and your family really enjoyed your stay at Las Brisas Villa #2, Playa Hermosa beach and the resort next door with complementary access to their amenities. You are always welcomed to return.
We had a wonderful time.
Las Brisas #2 was great. It was a sort walk to the beach and the pool was handy for doing my fail laps. Perfect setting, facilities and restaurants. We will be back next year.
So happy to hear you had a great time at Las Brisas Villa#2. Yes the beach and restaurants on the beach with sunset views are so conveniently located. The pool which measures 24'X48' is large enough to do the morning laps.
You are always welcome to return.
The condo was great and location location location
I am happy to hear that Villa#2 is great. Yes the location is ideal since it's a minute's walk to the beach where you can enjoy numerous restaurants with beautiful ocean views, water activities or just relax on the sand.

Las Brisas Villa #2 is located in the village of Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste area. It's in the Northwest area of Costa Rica. It's a local 2 kilometer long bay beach perfect for swimmers, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and boating.Rent kayaks, canoes, jet skies, paddle boards and windsurfing equipment. On sand you can relax, walk, jog, horseback, play volleyball or soccer. There are 2 accesses to Playa Hermosa, a south and north entrance. The south entrance has lots of restaurants, hotels and amenities. Less than 1/2 mile separates the two entrances. The distance is easily walkable and enjoyable. You will find small souvenir stands, outdoor cafes and Pacific Ocean views. Additional nightlife and restaurants are available in Playa Coco, a short taxi ride away. The Lizard Lounge is my fave, Happy Hour all day long w/ good food and NOW OPEN! Hard Rock Cafe. Take a day trip to the Arenal Volcano which is my favorite to watch an active volcano or history buffs like Santa Rosa National Park. One of my favorites to visit Rincon de la Vieja (Witches Rock)located about 1 1/2 hour from Playa Hermosa. There are 250 species of birds inhabit the park, active volcano, and mineral ponds.
