Let me be honest, Haddox House is a 76-foot-long manufactured house that is ugly as sin when you drive up. BUT, it is super clean and comfortable, basically brand new, and has an awesome covered back patio overlooking the Llano River. We purchased the house brand new in 2013 and have spent precious few nights there. We furnished it with a combo of brand new beds/bedding and linens and gently used furniture to make sure the inside felt nothing like the ugly exterior.
Haddox House is located on over an acre of Llano riverfront property and is approximately 10 miles west of the City of Llano. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeps a total of 6.
Our favorite spot is relaxing on the covered back patio looking out at the river and hill country. Despite the Texas heat, the near constant breeze makes the covered patio comfortable year round. The patio also has movable curtains that filter sunlight in the summer, making it even more enjoyable.
During the heat of the day, we recommend walking the short 5-min walk down the road to the river crossing. The house is stocked with 4 backpack-style river chairs and a variety of water floats for your use. Each bathroom has several striped Turkish bath towels that are light as a sheet but highly absorbent and serve as the perfectly transportable river towels. Pack them inside the backpack chairs and head to the river!
The master bedroom has a king size bed and attached bathroom with a tub-shower combo.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed.
The third bedroom has a twin bed with a rollout twin trundle.
The second bathroom also has a tub-shower combo.
The house has a fully stocked kitchen with basic cooking supplies like sugar, salt, baking soda, etc. It also has a coffee maker, toaster oven, crockpot, and microwave and dishwasher. There's also a washer and dryer in case you need to do laundry!
It has central heat and air conditioning as well as a few fans just in case... it is Texas after all!
Though there is a TV, it does not have cable currently and there's also no internet at the house. It's about getting away from all that right? There is an x-box to play movies and games if you bring some.
If you MUST have TV service, please let us know and we may be able to work something out. We have some ideas on how to provide cable but aren't sure it's really necessary!
