The apartment is located in the back of a historic Canal House. It is the perfect place to relax after a busy day in town. The modern loft apartment measures 215 sqm. With the apartment comes a private, secluded garden with day bed, table and chairs. There is an separate room downstairs with washer and dryer.
Due to the open plan space, the apartment is less suitable for small children.

About Mrs F Brouwer
I've loved Amsterdam ever since I moved there 30 years ago, and look forward to welcoming you and help you make the best of your stay. I have travelled a lot and know what makes a homestay worthwhile. As my children (24 and 22) have left home to study, I now have the opportunity to offer my apartment for rent. I work for an ICT Multinational and study Arts & Culture. I like contemporary art of which you will find a lot in the apartment. And I cannot live without books so you will be surrounded by plenty of those too.
Mrs F Brouwer purchased this Apartment in 1989
Why Mrs F Brouwer chose De 9 Straatjes
Once you see the apartment you'll understand why I still love it since we moved in 30 years ago! It has the best of both worlds: whilst in the middle of Amsterdam the place is very tranquil. The loft style apartment offers plenty of space; ceilings reach 6 meters high. You'll find quiet, space and plenty of green in the garden. The popular nine streets area is around the corner. You can walk (or cycle) to all major attractions. And as you step out of the historic front door of the building, the beautiful Herengracht canal will bring a smile on your face.
What makes this Apartment unique
The space, the height of the ceilings, the open living room with it's overcrossing 'bridge', the huge windows and the quiet garden! On top of that: location, location, location.

Search no further
Search no further if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Amsterdam. The Canal Loft has everything you need to have a wonderful visit. First, is easy walking or tram access to all major points in the city. We only needed a car to and from the airport that Florentine arranged for us. Some of the best restaurants and shops are within a five-minute walk. If you chose to cook in, this well maintained, fully equipped apartment has everything you need. The queen and king beds are excellent. This home is also a sanctuary from the city. The beautiful backyard garden was coming into bloom as we arrived. Enjoy the afternoon sun. We highly recommend the Canal Loft!
Very nice and so convenient to everything we wanted to do Shop ,museums and lovely restaurants
My favourite city Amsterdam
And I loved that the apartment had a garden
And very nice to have a lovely small grocery nearby
Great area for walking
This loft was in a perfect location as we were able to walk to many attractions. Our hostess was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us around her lovely home. She also left us with a book of information about her historic home and information regarding the area's restaurants, cafe's and boutiques. Even though this loft is right in the city you would never know as it was quiet and peaceful. The loft has it's own lovely private garden. An amazing place!
Beautiful apartment in great location!
Beautiful apartment exceeded our expectations! There were 4 of us and the apartment was very comfortable, spacious, and quiet. After a day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to relax in the garden before heading out to one of the spectacular restaurants in Amsterdam. The location was perfect. We walked to all the sights, museums, etc. Lots of restaurants and unique shops near the apartment. Highly recommend!
Perfect Easter Break
We spent a perfect Easter break at Florentine’s apartment. It is centrally located in the 9 Straatjes district with its trendy restaurants, boutique shops and anything you may need. The apartment overlooks the inner court and the garden and is very quiet and peaceful, despite being in a busy central area, allowing to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The apartment has a very special aura about it, beautifully and carefully decorated with the unique pieces of art. It is airy and spacious and very well looked after. We had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Florentine’s library had a lot of books on the history of Amsterdam and the Dutch art, which we very much enjoyed perusing.
Florentine is a very accommodating and caring host, it was very easy to communicate with her prior and during the visit. She is very well organized. She was away from Amsterdam when we arrived, but we were welcomed by the lovely staff of The Friendly Host, a local company helping Florentine to look after the apartment and her guests. The Friendly Host gave us a tour of the apartment and answered all our questions in well-informed and professional manner.
Thank you, Florentine, for our amazing stay. For our next visit to Amsterdam we would book the apartment without hesitation.
We had a lovely week in this incredible apartment! It is so centrally located that we hardly used the trams and walked easily to absolutely everything. It was well appointed and everything was there that we need to cook. When we needed to rest, having the lovely green garden and enormous picture window was a relief to the busy city and the "killer" bicylists! :). I wouldn't ever stay anywhere else. Florentine is the consummate host and we feel like we now have a great homebase whenever we return.
Located in the historic center of Amsterdam, on the renown Herengracht Canal, part of the World Heritage Canal Ring. Walk to nearby museums with Rembrandt and Van Gogh, or to the Anne Frank House. Enjoy shopping in the Nine Streets area just around the corner of the apartment. Stroll along the canals and have coffee, lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants of which you'll found plenty within walking distance.
