It was love at first sight! As soon as we saw the spectacular ancient domes, we knew this was an apartment like no other.

What makes this apartment unique

Eco living:

When you stay at our vacation suite, there's no need to worry about your carbon footprint. The green construction began five hundred years ago — the one-to-two-meter-thick walls maintain temperature better than any modern technology! We did our best to follow that example when we renovated the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen.

Here is a list of the suite's Eco credentials:

•Low-energy air conditioning throughout the apartment. (DC Inverter technology.)

•LED lighting.

•Underfloor heating. Rather than blast heat from a small vent near the ceiling, underfloor heating systems allow the heat to rise from the bottom up, without ever reaching a high temperature.

•Double-glazed insulated windows.

•Natural-gas water heating.

•Energy-efficient appliances.

We stayed in Rova Arches in early July during a 2 week trip to Israel. The property and particularly, the location, cannot be beat!

LOCATION: Within 2 minutes you can walk to the Kotel, the Arab Shuk, the Tower of David, etc. There is a cafe just next to the property, on the Hurva Synagogue square, where you can people watch for hours. We found it very easy to walk to the Jaffa Gate (maybe 3 minutes) when we had plans outside of the old city. Mamilla Mall is also a 3 minute walk if you feel the need. There are numerous places to shop, eat (both a quick shawarma or falafel, or a sit down dinner) within a 5 minute walk.

PROPERTY: We were 2 couples, a 69 year old, and a 13 year old boy. There was plenty of room as there is an open floor plan with plenty of space to stretch out. The apartment is spacious, beautifully appointed, clean, and has anything you might need to make the stay enjoyable.

SERVICE: Aurelie, the manager, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Bagels, juice and fresh fruit awaited us, which was really a very nice touch after hours of traveling. There were fresh flowers on the table. There was a box of teas and espresso available throughout the stay.

We travelled to several locations on this visit, and I have been to Israel many times. I will say, without reservation, that this is the nicest, most welcoming apartment we have ever stayed in. I would (and will) recommend this to all of my friends, and will certainly stay there again.

Great stay

The location was in square and close to many eating places.

Accommodations were comfortable. Didn't use cooking facility except for breakfast and coffee.

Half bath was convenient and bath was adequate.

I would stay here again.

Great rental and responsive service

This was our second stay at this apartment, and it was another great experience - which we would happily do again. Since our last stay, the owner seems to have focused on more responsive service, and as a result our few requests for special items and assistance were very promptly addressed. Overall a great property, exactly as described in the property listing, and a great experience. If you're thinking of visiting Jerusalem, with a focus on the Old City, why stay in a hotel? For less money you can stay at this apartment, and experience the Old City just like the locals do, and with great comfort and convenience.

Beautiful apartment in excellent Old City location

My family of 5 had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Highlights for us were: 1) excellent location right in the heart of the Jewish quarter with easy access to everything in the Old City, 2) beautiful apartment with great air conditioning, plenty of space of stretch out in, and good supplies for cooking, washing, etc. 3) an excellent host in Stanley who went out of his way at every turn to ensure we had a great visit to Jerusalem- from helping to organize our transportation and tour guides to having fresh flowers, wine, and wonderful fresh bread waiting for us upon arrival. Cannot imagine there is a better option if you want to stay in the Old City and we would also highly recommend using the transportation and guide services recommended by Stanley. Only minor concerns to be aware of is that you are required to go up about two flights of stairs to reach the apartment with no elevator option and there is only one shower.

Jewish Quarter Jewel

What a wonderful experience to stay in the Jewish quarter, living for a week with the Jewish people was amazing. This property was within walking distance of all the top attractions in the quarter and yet so quite and relaxing. The home is a 5 star accommodation filled with all the necessities, very comfortable with spacious living area, lovely patios and large bathroom. Our host was so friendly and extremely helpful with parking our vehicle and even helping with our luggage. He even had flowers, wine and other special tastes from Israel. We will definitely return to this wonderful jewel. Truly our home away from home in Israel

Amazing location, beautiful apartment, fabulous service

5 minute or less walk to all the major Old City sites. Stanley was incredible. The driver they suggested to get us from the airport to the apartment was wonderful. Staying here made our whole trip worth it. I would come back to Jerusalem just to stay at this location. Thank you for creating a magical experience for us!
