I was asked to ad more to the neighborhood because some people don't like the neighborhood, but love the price I offer. As a former Realtor; In NYC everything is price accordingly. If you like the Times Square area be prepared to pay as much as 600 a night. You don't have to hang out in the neighborhood and you can take an appx 15 min train ride to Times Square so you can decide your budget and whats best for you.. You will never get everything. Here I keep it affordable. I have been residing here for 11 years with no problems. Its a mix of different races with some more than the others. Please check the population and race of Harlem in google to ensure it suits you. The people here does not bother the tourist.
The area is fast becoming a diverse community with many great restaurants 5 to 10 minutes to 125th Street and Lenox. You have the famous Red Rooster, Sylvia's, Social Corner, Cove and others for day and night life. Grocery stores such as Foodmath, Fine Fair and Associated walking distance. NY Sports Club is 2 blocks away, Central park is 110th street appx 10 min away. I sometimes take the bus or the train down to the park so I do recommend it for day time hanging out jogging. Not night time..Its NYC where we have the good, the bad the ugly so you must be careful at ALL TIMES... My background is security, I am always careful.
10 to 20 Minutes To 59th Street Columbus Circle, Times Square On The 3, A, C, D Trains.
This Is A 4 Flight Walk Up But I Will Help You With Your Bags if they are not heavy. I have injured right arm and back so I cannot lift heavy..Please keep it light.
Our Building Is Not Luxury Like Most Pre War Buildings And Though Your Room Will Be Clean; I Do My Best To Keep The Kitchen And Bathroom Clean At Least Twice A Day. Don't judge me by this ugly building...If you can get pass that your room will make you feel like home.
