The neighborhood
***Book here! Our neighborhood was just voted Los Angeles Neighborhood of the Year 2016!!***
7 minutes to DTLA. 15 minutes to Hollywood or the beach! Walking distance to bus stop. Easy access to Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
Plus if you like an adventure like I do there's so much cool stuff in our neighborhood. Walk to a zen oasis and meditation garden in a 1900 mansion. It's amazing! KTown is 10 minutes away and one of the up and coming hotspots in town. This neighborhood is gentrifying rapidly. There are start-up restaurants and galleries opening all the time. It's popular with artists and musicians and the creatives of LA.
Getting around
2 minutes from 10 Freeway.
7 minutes to the center of DTLA.
17 minutes to the beach (the early bird gets the best beach spot).
You can be in Beverly Hills in 16 minutes as well.
Buses are under a 2-minute walk.
Other things to note
This is a great space for creatives or if you have an interest in the arts.
IMPORTANT: We are in the most diverse city in America. My neighborhood has is rapidly gentrifying. On my block there are lovely people that are White, Black, Hispanic, Indian, Korean and Japanese. If people with different color skin make you uncomfortable do not book here. And if you are from suburbia it may appear too gritty for you. Everyone has a different comfort level. If you are not comfortable with diversity please book somewhere else. Studies show that this neighborhood has LESS crime than Venice.
There's an adorable coffee place 1 block from here. DTLA is 8 minutes- with a bus 1/2 block from here.
We LOVE to travel. We've been in London, India, Scandinavia, Mexico, Dubai and Necker Island in the last 18 months. We fell in love with this wonderful home and hope you do the same. We are both authors and are passionate about the arts, ancient wisdom and personal growth.
Elizabeth Davidson purchased this apartment in 2013
AMAZING! This is so incredible to have the space to enjoy our lives. We loved the central location... and we were blown away at how quiet it is. There were so many amazing design details- 2500 square foot of 2nd floor. The first floor is one of the most unique in LA. Not a single wall shared with others.
Location, location, location!
There's nowhere this central to it ALL.
Beaches, hip restaurants, museums, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Beverly the BEST location in all of LA!
Bigger than many houses (2500 sq ft) makes this space one of the most unique in LA! Huge bedrooms, hardwood floors, decorative fireplace, spectacular dining room and huge living room. The huge outdoor living room in the backyard is where I love to end the day with a glass of wine. Designated free parking for one car is one of the most popular benefits our guests request.
PARKING HOUSE RULES:
There is free designated parking for Unit B and C.
They are fellow guests so KNOCK on the door of the unit and they will move their care. This works wonderfully unless a guest doesn't cooperate with our rules.
Parking is free UNLESS you make it difficult.
If I am notified that you are not co-operating with our Parking Rules you will be charged $35 per day for parking.
Really nice house, clean and really huge!I and my friends took a great time there. Very good location near bevery and Universal studio. Eli is very hospitable and helpful. We do really enjoy this trip by her take care. Eli 真的是一个不错的主人,我们在LA度过了美好的时光,她总能为我们考虑而且有求必应,这对于来自陌生国度的我们来说真是非常的幸运。 非常推荐这间房子!
I text the property manager. And let her know we had to go to the store and get Raid. Still havent heard anything back
The house was vintage like but very charming. Beds were clean and comfortable.
Very centralized location to get to all the attractions; shopping, restaurants, & parks.
Definitely coming back.
Thank you.
Was planning to drive into LA to attend a wedding and was in need of accommodations to sleep at least 6. Elizabeth's place definitely fit the bill, with plenty of room for all guests to stretch out and a very convenient location (very close to some great restaurants in Korea Town, as well as downtown, USC, Natural History & Science Museums, Exposition Park Rose Garden, and the freeway entrance). The full kitchen and washer/dryer were very nice to have as well, making the stay here a better value than two rooms at the nearest Best Western. Elizabeth and her staff were very responsive, friendly, and courteous both before, during, and after our stay. Thanks again for hosting us!
Eli was excellent and responsive. The apartment was old and updating didn't disguise that. It was a perfect location for us as we needed to be close to USC and LA Live for events. The parking is confusing at best. There were three different notes on how to handle the parking and we were unaware we were sharing the driveway with other tenants (we read designated parking in the driveway). We had inadvertently blocked a tenant in when we left without our car in the morning. They were very gracious and understanding but for the sake of the tenants, parking should be spelled out as to be coordinated with other tenants and contact info given. We felt horrible. Other than that, we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Great central location and the apartment is good as long as you are realistic about your expectations.
Enjoyed staying here. This place is very close to everything. Quiet neighborhood and would stay here again.
We stayed at this home a week ago. My cousins from Canada and Singapore, along with our spouses enjoyed "our temporary home in LA". It's proximity to everything makes LA driving bearable (still hate the traffic though). The home is warm and cozy and all the necessities of a full functioning home is provided. Eli and the house manager were quick to respond to any questions and/or requests. We also appreciated the diversity of the neighborhood. I would recommend it to anyone who'd want to experience LA in a short amount of time.
