Description

Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday villa in Boquete - Hidden Valley Resort Villa

Luxury 4 Bedroom/3 Full Bath (Sleeps 10) with Volcano View in Tropical Paradise

WARNING! Proceed to this pristine Hidden Valley Resort community and you may never want to leave. That’s the risk.

Year-round temperatures average between 68-85 degrees in Boquete; sleep with the windows open to let in the cool mountain air, to the sound of fresh running streams. Awaken in paradise to singing birds; watch them soar overhead as you sip your morning coffee on the deck, while enjoying a spectacular rainforest view with Volcan Barú (Panama's highest peak) as the crown jewel.

This spacious 4 bedroom 3 bath townhouse villa offers all the amenities to make your vacation to Boquete, Panama a tranquil experience. The house is two levels, with the open-concept living area, kitchen, sun room, deck and master bedroom on the first floor, a loft/office on a third level, and three additional bedrooms and two baths downstairs, as well as a laundry room and covered porch.

The home is fully furnished, including cookware and linens, and will comfortably sleep 10 people in four queen beds, two single beds, a pack n' play, and a single cot (if needed).

The house includes two large flat panel TV sets with cable channels, ROKU, and DVD player. Bring your own music or select from our collection. Of course internet with Wi-Fi is also available.

The bedrooms are newly furnished and decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances: stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, blender, cooking utensils, all necessary cutlery, silverware, dishes and cookware. Prepare your own healthy smoothies with the many fresh fruits and vegetables available in downtown Boquete, accessible by a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute drive.

A car is not necessary in Panama. However, you may want to rent one at the airport in David. You’ll need it if you want to explore all the incredible scenery by yourself. Local transportation such as buses and taxis is very reasonably priced.

This villa is located in a gated resort community. For a one time fee - $25-$50 per person (depends on length of stay) - to use the Valle Escondido Country Club facilities, you’ll want to take advantage of the first class health spa on the premises, workout in the fully equipped gym, swim in the indoor or outdoor pools or relax with a massage and enjoy a “LaVida Optimal Wellness” experience. If you’d rather play golf, you have a choice of a private golf course or miniature golf. Access to all this is included in your fee. (Greens fees for golf are not included.) Children 14 years of age and under are free.

Boquete has many fine restaurants to suit every taste. The Sabor Restaurant is right on the premises, as is a cantina. Hang out here and you’ll meet people from all over the world. Some have come to visit only and many have returned to this paradise to make it their permanent home.

The Boquete area has activities too numerous to mention. You can try the exhilarating Cloud Forest Zipline Canopy Tour with its 13 different canopy stations, enjoy biking, kayaking, bird watching, hiking, coffee plantation tours, nature walks or take the tour to the top of mount Barú and watch the sun rise on two oceans.

Meet coffee growers, local residents from several countries and check out the local fresh fish, produce and crafts at the weekly market every Tuesday in town.

Where else can you enjoy two ocean beaches within driving distance of less than ½ day? The Pacific is 1.5 hours away and the Caribbean 3.5 hours away. This location is ideal for exploring all of Western Panama!

About Cara Parker

I am a business owner in the United States who lives in upstate New York. After many years of heavy snow and very little sunshine, I decided I should have a second home in a place I can really enjoy year-round.

I can't think of a better place than Boquete, Panama for anyone to enjoy stunning views, a temperate climate and friendly, gracious people.

Cara Parker purchased this villa in 2012

Why Cara Parker chose Panama

Boquete and the Valle Escondido Resort community appealed to me more than any other place I'd ever seen. And I've traveled extensively. It's truly a tropical paradise, where time stops and tranquility begins.

What makes this villa unique

The house appealed to me because it is built in the Tuscan villa style, nestled among tropical foliage, with fresh running water coursing throughout the resort - all with a stunning view of Volcán Barú! It's not everyday one can wake up and say "buenos dias" to a volcano!

Where else can you enjoy a year-round temperate climate, breathtaking scenery, friendly people, delicious food and outdoor adventure? If you happen to like coffee you'll find some of the world's best grown right here.

Destination Paradise

Welcome to Boquete, home to the Valle Escondido Resort, Golf & Spa. Boquete is located in the province of Chiriquí, which is an Indian word meaning “Valley of the Moon.” The Ngabe-buglé Indians are the most populace of Panama’s seven indigenous peoples and they can be seen walking the winding mountain roads or shopping in the village in their original dress.

The District of Boquete covers over 484 kilometers (300 miles) and has approximately 25,000 residents, with more than 2,000 of those being foreign residents from around the world.

The valley is situated on the eastern side of the Barú volcano (extinct for over 500 years) The area surrounding the volcano became a National Park in June of 1976 and encompasses a surface area of 14,322.5 hectares (over 35,000 acres), rising to a height of over 12,000 feet above sea level. Rainfall is abundant at the higher elevations of Volcan Baru's 6 life zone areas.

This unique eco-area provides an incredible experience for those who want explore the area’s recreation, flora, fauna, birds, animals, and water features. There are over 250 bird species found in the park boundaries, as well as animals. This area is the southernmost boundary of the sacred Quetzal bird, revered by civilizations from Mexico to western Panama throughout time. The major industries of Boquete are agriculture, ecotourism, and coffee. In recent years, Boquete has become world-famous for producing some of the finest Estate Coffees in the world.

Superb casa in Boquete

  • 5 of 5

Second time in Boquete ... and we are definitely coming back to Boquete next year. And no questions asked ... we are going to make sure we get to stay at Valle Escondido. What a gem of a place. We live in Panama but had my mom in law and husband plus my cousin visiting from Canada. We were 5 adults and 2 kids (14 and 12) ... and we had an awesome time at Valle Escondido. This clean, spacious and extremely well equipped house (especially the kitchen!) was located in gorgeous surroundings and we were very happy with all it had to offer. We were unlucky with the weather (although it is dry season in Panama) ... so were not able to use the lovely facilities on the grounds, however being in Valle Escondido did help relieve the frustration!

No surprises ... everything was as listed and it all worked. We did wish there was a barbecue ... as we were looking to enjoy and evening in ... but overall - thank you! We will definitely recommend it to friends.

Our villa at Valle Escondido was even better than the photos on the rental site The villa was immaculate, comfortable, and very well equipped. We couldn't ask for anything more during our month away from home.

An amazing "get away"

  • 4 of 5

The house and compound were outstanding. There was a lot of security and the guards at the gate, as well as those who did the rounds were friendly and helpful. The house we stayed at was perfect. It had everything we needed and was clean as well. We enjoyed hanging out there as well as visiting the area. Boquete is the perfect place for a family vacation and renting a house at Valle Escondido was a great decision.

Valle Escondido is located in the valley of Bajo Boquete, in the Chiriquí Province of Western Panama, on the Eastern face of Panam's highest peak, the inactive Volcán Baru - an area recognized throughout the world for its stunning beauty, biodiversity and internationally award-winning coffee.

Destination Paradise

Welcome to Boquete, home to the Valle Escondido Resort, Golf & Spa. The major industries of Boquete are agriculture, ecotourism, and coffee. In recent years, Boquete has become world-famous for producing some of the finest Estate Coffees in the world.

Our hidden valley is just a ten-minute walk from the rural coffee growing community of Boquete, Panama. In town you will find shopping and dining in the dozen or more restaurants catering to the locals and tourist alike. We are also only 30 miles from the Pacific Ocean where you will find some of the best sport fishing in the entire world.

Since 2002, the world's retirement population has been discovering Boquete as a retirement haven with low cost of living, perfect weather and beautiful people. As a result, unemployment here is low and quality of life is high. For cultural pursuits, Boquete has its own community theater, the Boquete Community Players and there is also the Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival, the Chiriquí Art Expo, and a number of annual festivals and parades.

With the beaches of Las Lajas and Boca Chica (and the islands decorating the Gulfo de Chiriquí) and the Costa Rican border 1.5 hours away by car in either direction, Boquete is perfectly positioned for exploring this region of Central America.

It's also ideal for settling down to enjoy the unique culture of Boquete, which boasts fine restaurants such as The Panamonte, Mangoes, Il Pianista and Art's Cafe; Festivals famous throughout Panama such as the Coffee & Flower Festival and the Blues & Jazz Festival; and the world's second most expensive coffee variety: geisha. Cafe Ruiz offers visitors customizable tastings by species variety, microclimate conditions, and roasting method.

Take a tour or a local coffee finca or go birdwatching with local Boqueteño Jason Lara, as Panama boasts even more bird species than Costa Rica and is known as an international birding hotspot. You shouldn't leave Boquete without sighting the famous Quetzal!

A famous archaeological site in Volcán, waterfalls and hiking trails in Bajo Mono, and natural hot springs in Caldera are all part of his tours.

Artisans and craftsmen abound, selling wares on the roadside or at the BCP Market on Tuesday mornings. Contact Boquete's own oil painter Efraín Antonio for custom pieces of the Ngöbe-Bugle trip and the geography of Western Panama.

If it's live music, good food and the company of locals you're after, head to Mike's Global Grille on Saturday night, when the town comes alive after the workweek ends. Other spots for live music include Black & White and La Biblioteca (library), which hosts concerts and art showings each month.

If you want to take a Crash Course Spanish course that fits easily into your schedule, contact Renny Kranich, who has lived here for a decade and teaches fun classes designed to get you speaking quickly.

If it's real estate you're after, whether to purchase, rent or invest, Lorena McClaughry is your best connection.

Brought your pet? Roberto at the Dog Spot in Alto Boquete is your go to guy for grooming and play dates.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch for additional details or contact information for any of the recommendations above. We look forward to helping you plan your trip!
