I am a writer at heart and mostly work from home, so having my own hospitality business is right up my alley. I greet you at the door and I'm at your disposal throughout your stay.

The Hudson Valley is one of the most beautiful settings in our country. All seasons are equally amazing and never cease to surprise us even after 40+ years. Our house lends itself beautifully to the Hudson Valley traveler and small family. As secluded as we are, we are less than half a mile from the main road, and from there, a mile from a busy intersection with everything you need for your stay here from restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores, take out restaurants that deliver, post office and banks and our West Point guests love that we are just 15 minutes from the main gate.
When we first started looking for a home we wanted the kind of small neighborhood like the town I grew up in. All these years later and we still love it here.
We are ten minutes from Stewart International Airport and five minutes from The Storm King Art Center which features artists and sculptors from around the world. We also have some of the most awesome hiking trails on Storm King Mountain, about a five minute drive from us.
Nighttime is pretty quiet here. Actually, that's one of the features that works out best for our guests. Guests love the privacy. I'm just a phone call away for anything you need.
We have distant mountain views that are best seen from The Loft through the east facing glass doors - a great thing to wake up to each morning. Our home has evolved from a tiny bungalow to a unique arrangement of rooms as our family grew. We designed The Loft for privacy and it has well served us. The comment all our guests make when they leave is, 'feels like home.' It doesn't get better than that. Don't wait another weekend before deciding that you need a break now and enjoy the privacy, seclusion and relaxation you deserve.
Marie, you were the perfect guest. Right after we said hello you told me that your oil light came on in the car a few miles back. We solved that problem and then the time just flew. I remember the knot I got in my stomach when you said that your family owned a restaurant. Yikes!!! But I made my house specialties for breakfast and you gave the Marie seal of approval. Marie, you are always welcome back to The Loft!
My sister and I felt like family while staying at the loft. Julia was a gracious hostess and served a delicious hot breakfast every morning. The place is spacious and comfortable. Super comfortable bed too!
Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable and convenient. Julia is a great host and communicator. Highly recommend choosing the loft.
I stayed for almost two weeks at the loft with Julia! I was with my two children and the stay couldn't have been better. We were greeted each morning with a beautiful breakfast that was well thought out. Warm muffins, fresh fruit and juices were for the weekdays, but on the weekends we got French toast, bacon and scrambled eggs. Julia has a small kitchenette that was perfect for things such as salads, sandwiches and fruits so that we could pack lunches while exploring the Hudson valley.
There was plenty of space for the three of us, everyone had their own bed, but the kids were always fighting over the most comfortable queen sized bed I have ever slept on. I never wanted to leave! Overall we had a fantastic stay and hope to be back to stay again!
Spacious, clean, well appointed accommodations. Totally private. Huge bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower. Julia is a doll, and makes amazing baked goods and smoothies for breakfast. She went above and beyond to make my 3 year old happy with her own cup, baby muffins, toys, dolls and books. This will definitely be our home away from home in NY.
The Loft is just 10 minutes from West Point and just around the corner from the Storm King Arts Center. There is no time like Autumn in the Hudson Valley. We are minutes away from some of the Mid-Hudson's most popular hiking trails like Storm King Mountain and access to the Adirondack Trail. There is so much to do here in the Hudson Valley, or take some time to chill out in the beautiful Loft, enjoy a glass of wine while you soak in your oversized heated Jacuzzi, order take-out and do nothing at all.
Prices subject to change at any time. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, there is no refund if reservation is cancelled. No entertaining. Please respect our space.
