An Amazing Stay
This was the first time we rented a home for our vacation stay. We have plans to eventually move to Florida from New York City. We figured what better way to help us decide than actually living in a house for a week. Let me tell you, it was really hard going back to our tiny 360sqft apartment.
First off, if you are worried the pictures don't match the actual home, do not worry. It is exactly as beautiful as it looks. The location, in the corner of the community close to the lake offered a privacy that we are just not used to and absolutely loved. The home is spacious , clean and comes with everything you need for your vacation. We had sheets, towels, a grill, cleaning supplies, internet and plenty of tvs.
A few things you should be aware of before booking your stay. Florida has a ton of bugs and you'll find them everywhere. We had a few more than expected and a quick call to the Property Manager fixed this issue. They had the exterminator there within a few hours, amazing service and their treatments worked.
The pool is gorgeous and for a few bucks more a day you can get it heated which I recommend. Being able to swim in 89 degree water at 1:00am with a cold brew...that is the life man...just the best. The neighborhood was quiet, close to everything and I am planning to book here again in our next trip. Thanks for a great environment to have our vacation in guys!
Thank-you very much for your kind comments we do try and do our best to make sure that the home is ready for your arrival and that you have an enjoyable stay.
We look forward to seeing you again when you next visit Florida
Spent almost three weeks here. Its a good house, good pool, good part of town, and the owner was GREAT to work with and very responsive. It's not a fancy place, but very nice - it's very appropriately priced (any fancier and you'd be paying a lot more for it!). Really close to shopping and eating options. Not too far from the parks. All and all, great place to stay!
Location is close to Disney, Gatorland and all shopping. House is very nice and clean
Beautiful swimming pool
Location is convenient to everything, yet not right in the middle so that you're stressed every time that I out leave the driveway. While there, we tried the Bahama Breeze, and Miller's Brew House, both were great places to eat. Sea World, Discovery Cove, Aquatica, and Bush Gardens were all fantastic. The only downside were that there were several blown light bulbs throughout the property. It wasn't enough to be much of an inconvenience, and I am sure that when I email the owner, it will be fixed. The power did go out our first night due to storms, since it was after hours I was unable to contact anyone with the property office and my message wasn't returned, I assume this is because the power came back on a few hours later. The house is very spacious and had plenty of towels, kitchen equipment, and even extra pillows.
Nice home in a master planned community at the end of a cul-de-sac street, 20 minutes to Disney.
The home is exactly as advertised, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac street with a pond beside it & no street or houses behind you either so it is somewhat private. The home is a little older, built in the early 90's so it is a little dated inside but that's okay. It's about a 20 minutes drive straight west to Disney World. Bring cash for the many toll roads around Orlando. There are plenty of stores & restaurants within a mile of the neighborhood & a large mall. The house was well stocked with dishes, cookware, towels etc.. & a washer & dryer in the garage. There is a front living room & a second living room off the kitchen. It has two dining rooms, one with seating for 5 and the other seats 6. Both have sliding patio doors leading out to the pool area. The pool is nice and large. The master bedroom has a king size bed & has a sliding patio door out to the patio & pool. The master bath is large with a garden tub (not jetted) & a separate shower & walk-in closet. The other 3 bedrooms are in the rear of the house & each have 2 twin beds. There is one bath next to these bedrooms with a tub/shower combo. That bath has a door that leads out to the pool. The ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms are old and don't have lights on the fans so the only lights in the bedrooms are lamps on the nightstands. All rooms have televisions with satellite dish service and both living rooms have TV's also. The leather sofas and love seats in both living rooms are older and well worn. The house has been partially remodeled with granite countertops in the kitchen and both baths. The carpet in the house is older and somewhat worn as well but it's okay. A couple of small issues: When we arrived the pool water was nice and warm but a day later it was cold. There is a $20/day charge to turn the pool heater on. That should be disclosed on the website. Also, there is a sign next to the thermostat that says that the thermostat is set at "a comfortable 76 to 80 degrees" and if you turn it down lower you run the risk of freezing the A/C system up and if so you will be responsible for the damage. No properly working A/C system will "freeze up" if turned down to say, 72 degrees. Obviously they want to save on the electric bill but 76-80 degrees is not very comfortable in the Florida humidity.
Nine of us stayed here for a week during Spring Break for about the same price as 2 hotel rooms! (or 1 at Disney). I would stay here again but the house could use some minor updating.
- Quiet cul de sac location
- Just minutes from major shopping mall with plenty of restaurants
- Golf course within 5 minutes Upgraded bathrooms and kitchen with beautiful granite countertops
