Carole and I are British and live in a cottage in Old Alresford in rural mid Hampshire, England. We own a barn conversion in Devon, a modern apartment in Basingstoke and this modern one bedroom apartment in Cannes. We have been running a small holiday and residential letting business since I retired from Engineering Management a few years ago. We like to give our guests the best possible holiday and have good reviews and numerous letters and e mails from happy customers many of whom come back year after year. We also aim to give our customers excellent customer service and will respond promptly to all enquiries.

We looked long and hard for a property on the Cote D'Azur having spent many happy holidays there. We chose Cannes Grand Parc as it is a secure development in a beautiful park like setting - minutes from the buzz of Cannes yet just a little higher where it is quieter and the air is fresher in the heat of summer.
We have equipped the property so that it offers everything needed in a permanent home including air conditioning, internet, plenty of cooking utensils and really comfortable beds.
We enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the large terrace, the large well kept swimming pool and looking out to the woods of the Croix des Gardes park. We also like being able to get into Cannes quickly by bus so we can sometimes leave the car in the garage and the fact that the beach is just down the hill (Bd Leader).
A local couple, Alain and Barbara look after our apartment and prepare it to a very high standard for our guests. Alain will meet you on arrival, give you the keys and explain everything to you. He can also meet you at the airport on request.
Everything it says it is, this bijou apartment ticks all the boxes and provides an excellent vacation base. Extremely well positioned, a supermarket, local shops and some restaurants are an easy walk away. Local buses are well connected, frequent and cheap (bus stops nearby), so it is not essential to hire a car but we think well worth it to visit at leisure many of the amazing places surrounding Cannes.
This was our second visit for one week allowing us to explore more of this lovely Mediterranean region by car. A lift is nearby to the apartment giving quick access to the underground car park and reserved space. Given the heat of a Riviera summer we found it an added bonus to be able to keep our hire car garaged in both a cool and safe place.
The air conditioned apartment though small, is very well designed incorporating all the essentials and many other nice touches besides. Clean and well maintained, there is a sofa bed which pulls out to provide a third bed if required. The kitchen area is well equipped with cooker/hob/fridge/freezer /breakfast bar etc. meeting expectations. A large balcony is accessible from both the bedroom and lounge, just perfect for dining al fresco and watching the sun going down whilst admiring superb views of the surrounding hillsides. The apartment block is set in well maintained gardens while the use of an outdoor swimming pool happily allows for relaxation and cooling off on hotter days so typical of the Cote d’Azur.
Cannes is a delightful town with a lovely old port, sandy seafront, and of course the famed Palais des Festivals (film festival). In many ways it is a nicer and warmer experience compared to Nice which is rather large and sprawling.
All in all we had another wonderful holiday in Cannes and would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and location. In fact, we fully intend to return again next year, since the owners have always been very helpful and anxious to ensure our stay is both a comfortable and enjoyable one.
The apartment itself and the terrace are lovely and fine for a holiday. The kitchen is tiny so major cooking is probably not a good idea but we managed.
The advert says no car is required but we would disagree. We found after a week we really needed a car to get about further afield and getting out of the very busy town was a good idea. The supermarket is a treck back up the hill and in 35 degrees this is not funny, nor when you arrive at 7 in the evening and there is nothing in the apartment. No tea or coffee or basic supplies and no welcome pack, have to say this felt a bit mean. We have been renting for 20 years and have always received a welcome pack or the offer of a first basic shop.
There is 1 pool, not 2. The pool is nice and very quiet in the morning, a welcome relief in the extreme heat.
All in all we found Cannes overpriced, beware the wine prices! We went to some amazing foodie arty hill top villages where we got better value for money. Biot in particular was lovely and do-able by bus.Ther is lots of art around, also lots of people!
I would say the apartment is more suited to a short stay or a couple with a car.
Myself, my partner and our 3 year old daughter greatly enjoyed a week at Colin's apartment in Cannes in June 2014.
When we booked and in the run up to our holiday, the owner - Colin was very helpful and quickly answered any questions we had and provided all the information we needed.
Colin also arranged for our pick up from Nice Airport which was very useful and in no time at all we were off our flight and in the apartment.
The apartment is lovely and we found it had plenty of room and was very clean, well maintained, comfortable and safe for a family with a small child.
It has all the facilities you need and the balcony makes for a lovely place to eat and relax.
Situated on a secure site, there is a very nice outdoor pool and grassy areas both great for children.
Although not in central Cannes and by the seafront, the location is great and it is very easy to get around. It is in a quiet area of Cannes with large supermarket and nice selection of local shops nearby, which are great for an early morning walk with young daughter.
A bus stop can be found right outside the complex with a regular service taking 10 - 15 minutes to the centre of Cannes and sea front from early morning until late night. This bus connects with Cannes train and bus station, opening up the whole area, and we never found need for a car. As well as time spent on the beach and exploring in and around the delights of Cannes, we found Colin's apartment made a great base to visit other fun places in the Côte d'Azur including Nice, Antibes and MarineLand.
We highly recommend this property and when we go back to the Côte d'Azur would definitely be interested in staying there again. The apartment made for a perfect family holiday.
On a final note, as a keen runner, I found the apartment was in a great spot for a challenging run down to the seafront and back up.
I stayed at this apartment in May 2012 while attending the Cannes Film Festival. The apartment was spacious, clean and although it might seem a bit far from the Palais and centre of Cannes, it's only a 10 minute bus ride away and buses are very frequent with a bus stop right outside the property. It's got everything you need for a short business stay or a holiday and I highly recommend it.
The owner Colin was attentive and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I have kept in touch with the owners and would not hesitate to staying here again in the future.
The description is true, detailed and useful. The property is about 3 km away from the beach. There are enough access points and parking place to it. It accomodates a family of 4 with 2 teenagers with ease. Beds are shared.
The apartment is not big, but clean and ordered. It has a large terrace viewing away from the sea into a hill side. There is everything for good rest in the evenings and during the day. There are enough utensils to prepare a good dinner. The air conditioning is very powerful. We switched it on for not so long periods.
The owner is very cooperative. Only one hint from me: it would be very useful to have an espresso coffee maker. It would be delightful in the mornings to sip coffee at the terrace.
The Casino supermarket is not far away from the apartment. There are also 2 pizza restaurants at a walking distance.
We (4 people) have been in the apartment in 14 days and it have been a great holiday for us. The swimmingpools are not to crouded and are in a good sice and the balcony is great - we have been there a lot, you could call the best "room" of the apartment.
The aprtment is not to small for 4 people, because you are outside in the "best room" the must of the time, because of the nice wheter-
Because of the wheter it is good to have aircondition!
The placement of the apartment is also god - your can very easy walk to Cannes in about 40 minutes or you can take the buss just outside Grand Cannes Parc - is easy. We have done that a lot!
We could all 4 see us back in the apartment some time in the future.

Our air-conditioned one bedroom apartment is situated in an elevated position above Cannes close to the Croix des Gardes Natural Park. It is ten minutes by car from the Plage du Midi beach or 15 minutes by frequent bus No. 10 from the town centre and beaches. It provides everything you need for an enjoyable holiday on the Cote D’Azur all year round.
Cannes is an ideal centre from which to explore the Cote D’Azur.The town is famous for its film festival and expensive hotels and restaurants but in the old town there are plenty of bistros charging sensible prices and offering excellent value for money with fish a specialty. There are good beaches for swimming and La Croisette is the place to while away an afternoon just people watching. There is also plenty of night life if you enjoy a more active holiday.
The train along the coast to Italy is a good way to explore Nice, Monaco and the various Mediterranean towns and villages next to the sea or maybe use to visit the markets just across the border.
Some guests prefer to use the local bus and train to explore but a car is recommended if you wish to visit the many inland villages or travel further afield perhaps across the border to Italy. Secure garage parking is available except sometimes in winter when our own car may be in the garage but please enquire about parking if you wish to stay in the low season.
