When the sun begins to set, gather around one of the 3 fit pits, whether it be at the main cabin's patio area, the guest cabin, or at the beach!

From hiking and fishing, to paddle boating and playing outdoor games, you'll have no problem spending most of your time right at these splendid cabins. While there's plenty to do at the property, you'll still definitely want to check out the surrounding locations of these ideally-located cabins!

Outdoor enthusiasts will be especially ecstatic to check out Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Tahquamenon Falls, the Soo Locks, Mackinac Island, Castle Rock, and Oswald's Bear Ranch, all within an hour drive from the cabin.

For a day trip that's well worth the drive, head an hour and 45 minutes to the famous Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, known for its beautiful multicolored Pictured Rocks cliffs.

Wonderfully Splendid, Relaxing, and Educational!!!

  • 4 of 5

Overall, the cabins and grounds were amazing and it was central to many area attractions, making sightseeing of numerous areas possible. The only suggestion I would have is to find a way to combat the mildew/musty smell in the guest cabin, which affected allergies (if this is even possible). It was incredibly strong and overpowering during rainy periods. Otherwise, the cabins were very clean and well equipped, making our stay comfortable.

It really is a Hidden Paradise in the U.P.!

  • 5 of 5

This home is aptly named Hidden Paradise! We have stayed here the last two summers and hope to spend many more summers here as well! The house is clean and the grounds are well kept, the kitchen is amply stocked with dishes, pots, pans, cooking, utensils, and small appliances. The refrigerator is huge and can easily hold enough food for a week. Also plenty of thick, plush towels! The main house is spacious for large groups and the guest house is very clean, cozy, and not musty at all. The owner provides big lanterns to help guests find their way between the buildings after dark and the walkways around the house are all well lit; some with motion sensor lights. The owner and caretaker are both very quick to respond. The owner is very conscientious about the property and works hard to maintain and improve it.

When I arrived this year, I breathed in a huge breath of relaxation! It is so beautiful here. The huge windows make you feel like you're always outside. I would have been content to sit around the property all week and never go anywhere. But we're an active bunch and there are lots of trails for riding quads, places to go and things to see. We took some amazing rides to the Cut River Bridge, Lake Superior, Paradise, Strong, and all through the Hiawatha Forest. There is a small dune to ride just around the corner about 3 minutes down the trail. We picked wild blueberries along the trails, too.

The beach is a great, too, although you might want to bring along some bug spray some days. There are beach chairs in the storage shed and even a wagon to haul them down there. (the owner thinks of everything!) You can read a book, sit & sip a beverage, build a fire in the fire pit, and canoe or paddle boat around the lake. All of us including the teenagers love this place! There is always something to do outside and at night we had great family time making smores and hobo pies around the fire pit at the house and playing board games inside after dark. If you're looking for place that's a step back in time tucked into a beautiful, secluded setting - this is it!

The most beautiful cabin I have ever seen

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautiful. The main living room has large windows all around which brings in a scenic view of birch trees and pine. Secluded yet close to town. Private lake for nice bonfire and smores. Guest house too. I love staying here and look forward for my next trip. Great location to visit other attractions in MI upper peninsula easily.

Great UP getaway on Trout Lake!

  • 4 of 5

What a great place! We've been coming here for four years now. The place is extremely comfortable, has plenty of space and offers extreme privacy - not a neighbor in sight. The place comes with it's own private beach, and the kitchen comes with every utensil you can imagine. Nicely furnished. We can't wait until our next trip.

Not maintained. Overgrown and unkept.

  • 1 of 5

The house and guesthouse was moldy. Our guests had to sleep in the living room of the main cottage because all other sleeping areas were smelly and moldy causing breathing problems. We had mice in the kitchen all week. Couldn't trap them but spent a bit of $ trying too. We would not stay at this property again nor would we recommend it to anyone!

Owner's Response: Albert, We are very sorry to hear of the issues you experienced during your stay. We've shared your feedback with the homeowner who let us know that all of the issues mentioned were either a direct or indirect result of a heavy rain season. Additionally the homeowner has installed a state of the art air purifier and a self draining de-humidifier. The necessary changes will be made to ensure these issues do not recur for future guests when the cabin re-opens for guests in the spring. We and the homeowner take feedback from our guests very seriously, and we are very sorry your stay fell short of expectations. Best, The Evolve Team
