Why Steve & Rose Demers chose Bar Harbor
This property has been treated with much love over the years. It is bright and cheery, with lots of sunlight and close and distant woodland views coming through expansive windows. After busy days in downtown Bar Harbor, exploring Acadia National Park, relaxing at the beach, or world-class sailing or whale-watching, you'll love returning to this peaceful, private retreat with your family.
What makes this House unique
This home is a tranquil sanctuary to relax and enjoy filtered woodland views, and quiet evenings.. With large windows and hilltop breezes, you'll stay cool at night.

Thought this location was great. Easy access to a convenience store and grocery store. Location is centrally located so that getting to each side of MDI was easy. Really liked that. The house was homey and comfortable!
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, It was a nice quiet area back in the woods. It was located not to far from Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and very close to Acadia National Park. We loved driving around looking at the gorgeous fall foliage and visiting the local sho
ps and great restuarants. Helen's was our favorite!

Steve and Rose
The home away was large, very bright with lots of windows and also yard space for outdoor enjoyment. The two bedroom house was stocked with everything we needed for our weeklong stay. The best feature is it’s convenient location to Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, and all the smaller port towns on the island. Price is great for this spacious private house. Highly recommend
Steve and Rose were delightful and the property had everything we needed for a great stay.
Relaxing and most comfortable
Charming. We were there on business trip. After a gruelling day Of work. It felt like home. We hope to rent again
Comfy spot to come home to
After a day where my wife pushed me to ride long bike trails and climb the more arduous trails, it was nice to come home to this special little place. Nicely remodeled and with a cool little quirk or two, we really enjoyed our stay here. Our of the way and away from the crowds but located such that most places were not too far a drive. My wife loved playing the electronic keyboard.
Centrally located in the Town Hill part of Bar Harbor close to the village of Somesville, it is a 10-15 minute drive to Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, the downtown and waterfront of Bar Harbor, and the trails, carriage roads and beaches of Acadia National Park. Sand Beach is a world-class ocean beach perfect for the entire family. Just a 5 minute drive to several clear, pristine lakes and ponds for swimming, kayaking, or canoeing. You'll probably spot a Bald Eagle or Osprey! The 65 mile Carriage Roads network in Acadia National Park, only 5 miles drive away, is ideal for family or individual crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing, in winter or bike riding, running or walking during the rest of the year, and if you don't bring your own skiis, bike, Kayak or canoe, there are several reputable bike and kayak rental outfitters. Charter a sail on a Friendship sloop or a 4-masted schooner in Frenchman's Bay or amongst the islands off Southwest Harbor. It's all no more than 10-15 minutes away!
