DALMATIAN COAST DELIGHTS...........
The Unesco World Heritage city of Trogir is enchanting. Built on a tiny island and encircled by the ancient town walls with two historic gates its shady narrow cobbled alleys, courtyards and squares are lined with venetian stone buildings and bell towers. Visit the awe inspiring Cathedral with countless treasures and sculptures and admire the architecture of the churches and municipal buildings and their beautiful carvings and interiors. Enjoy a meal or drinks in one of the many restaurants, cafes, pizzerias and ice cream parlours which line the narrow streets. Browse the tiny shops or street stalls with their range of clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery, souvenirs and local artists paintings. Visit the bustling market just outside the town walls or climb to the top of the Kamerlengo Castle for fantastic views. Sit in a quayside cafe and watch the luxury yachts moor up.
Take the ferry trip along the coast to Split and embark near the Roman Diocletian Palace for a fascinating day.
SO MUCH TO DO.........SO MUCH TO SEE.......
Hire a pedalo, jet ski or small boat from the local Beach Sports Centre or try your hand at paragliding or banana boat and rubber ring rides.
Why not be more adventurous and take a Quad & Buggy Safari through the forest and mountain trails of Ciovo or visit the island's Paintballing Centre.
Relax on the beach where you can hire a sun lounger and parasol. The many beach bars offer fast food snacks, ice creams, cool beers, soft drinks and cocktails just yards from you. Stalls sell fresh fruit, juices, pancakes, jewellery and beach goods. The warm sea is perfect for swimming and snorkelling to see the wide variety of fish species which live in the rocky crevices. Make sure to wear jelly shoes or similar for comfort on the shingly beach. For more solitude you can take a walk through the woods to secluded local coves.
For a good day out take a 'Fish Picnic' boat excursion to the nearby island of Solta and the Blue Lagoon with plenty of local snaps and red wine included.
