Welcome to the new H Street-the exciting & newly developed area in DC! Steps from all the major tourist attractions & perfectly situated near Union Station, H Street, the Capitol, Red Line Metro, and Union Station !

The best of DC is all around you! Luxuriously renovated historic row home with high-end finishes and attention to every detail! ||SLEEPS 15 PEOPLE|| Great for families, work groups, longterm student shares. 3 Story Historic Rowhome with 5 private bedrooms (3 private queen beds, 1 double bed, and 3 single beds), 3.5 bathrooms, sun-filled Living Room, gourmet Kitchen and large Dining Area. The Living Room contains a comfortable sofa (converts to a queen sleeping bed) as well as sitting chairs and a 60" big screen cable TV. There is an additional TV in the Master Bedroom, and a TV in the Lower Level Family Room. The Lower Level Family Room also contains a sofa that converts into a queen bed. There is a Queen sized air mattress available upon request for additional sleeping accommodation. The Kitchen contains a large table & chairs as well as generous counter space to cook, eat and socialize. An additional Kitchen is located in the Lower Level. There is a wonderful private backyard and garden space with adirondack chairs for entertaining friends, enjoying a glass of wine outside or relaxing after a long day!

You’ll love my place because of the immaculate accommodations, location, outdoor space, and neighborhood. The space is truly an urban retreat and situated in the perfect location to see the best of DC!

There is a washer/dryer on the upper level and lower level. We also provide a Keurig with coffee+tea, standard kitchenware (plates, glassware, cooking utensils, dishes, pots/pans), fresh bed+bath linens and travel toiletries.

Walk Score is 90. No need for a car, you can walk, taxi or metro to everything! If you are bringing a car there is a private, fenced in parking spot available in the rear of the home. Please confirm prior to your stay.

Bike Score is 93. There are two Capital Bike Share docks within two blocks and plenty of streets with bike lanes.

Transit Score is 84. Union station is very close (10 min walk). Amtrak runs trains from here to New York & Richmond. The NoMa Metro station (closest Red Line metro, one stop from Union Station) connects you to the entire city. You can also pick up tour buses in front of Union Station.

Zipcar rental is 1 block away.

  • The Master Suite, Queen Bedroom with Workspace, and Bunk Bed Room are located on the 3rd Floor of the home. The 2 other bedrooms are located on the 1st Floor. The First Floor is essentially a private apartment with its own kitchen, washer + dryer, and living room with 60" Cable TV. The layout of the home is wonderful for multiple families vacationing together or a group of business travelers because of the privacy of the bedrooms and large Living Room and Kitchen on the Main Floor.

DC family vacation

We were a large group that had a comfortable stay.

We liked the location and were able to fix 2 meals a day in the kitchen.

We had choices of 2 or more grocery stores for a varied selection.

We were also conveniently located to other restaurants and shopping'

Enjoyed the convenience of Union Station for our transportation to museums and monuments.

Thanks for making our trip a great memory.

The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. More so than we expected.

Would recommend the property to anyone and especially larger groups.

Cannot think of anything that we needed that was not there.

Great Location to Explore Washington, DC

As and alternative the beach or the mountains, this year our family chose Washington, DC as the location of our family reunion. Renting both the upper and lower units of the house provided plenty of space for our large family. From it's location convenient to the Metro station, we were able to quickly and conveniently access all of the activities that DC has to offer. There is also a bike share station close by if you prefer method of transportation.

The H Street Corridor neighborhood is currently undergoing a renaissance. H Steet, only three blocks away, has an assortment of coffee shops and restaurants. There are several grocery stores within walking distance from the house. Also within walking distance is the Union Market which is an amazing, trendy market with stalls filled with local vendors offering enough variety to satisfy nearly any palette. The location is great. I went for a run one evening. The route took me past the supreme court, up capital hill, through the national mall to the Lincoln memorial.

We did have a few issues with the home during our visit, but the owners and property managers were very responsive and did everything in their power to ensure that problems were corrected and our family was satisfied.

The only constructive criticism that I can give is to provide cookware able to handle the house population and perhaps a few more small kitchen appliances such as a toaster.

Overall, everyone in our family enjoyed the house and Washington, DC.
