Secluded Lake Sam Rayburn Fishing Lodge in the Forest
About Reginna Wise
I love deep East Texas ! I The sound of the wind in the pine trees, the musty smell of the forest floor, the fresh air, the blooming dogwoods and red bud trees. The wildlife. The hummingbirds. For me, going home is like stepping into a mini vacation everyday - where the hustle and bustle stops and life slows down. I am proud to say that I work for law enforcement as a PD dispatcher. I have 2 beautiful grown daughters who are still the loves of my life. Spend my hours off working in my flowerbeds and vegetable garden, riding my horse or tending to the farm. Exploring new places is one of the great joys of my life. So opening my home up so others can be refreshed and experience exploring the woods is exciting to me. Vacations should satisfy our souls or it just doesn't count as a vacation !!

Why Reginna Wise chose Broaddus
My home has been in my family for over 100 years. I spent every summer her as a child watching my grandparents live off this land. I am blessed to be the 4th generation to own it. My grandfather's original carpentry is proudly displayed with all its rustic warmth and imperfections
What makes this Lodge unique
This property is unique in it's seclusion and peaceful surroundings. The forest is my back and front yard !!

loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere
A beautiful little cabin teeming with rustic charm. The stars are big and on full display from the large back yard. The temperature in the cabin was very comfortable. Absolutely love the seclusion yet only a 5 minute drive to the lake. Would stay here again.
Awesom place to stay
The location was great. The cabin was outstanding. Regina was so nice and sweet. Loved her dog who would come visit our dogs every morning. But could not ask for more.
The pictures are everything that you will see here. Just wish we could have stayed longer. It was so quiet and peacful. We will for sure be staying here again.
Thank you so much for everything Regina. We loved it.
Peaceful, lots of room to roam. Comfortable. Everything you need.
Awesome. Super relaxing. Everything you need. We will be back.
Great property! Fantastic country setting.
The cabin had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully equipped. Back yard was perfect with jacuzzi, hammock, fire pit and a nice sitting area towards the woods. Perfect spot for bird watching! The owner lives also on the property but you had so much privacy that it felt like it's just you on your own space. We will be coming back!
The most peaceful place I've ever been!
Ugh, where to begin... we've been several places through homeaway and this place by far exceeds them all!!! Pine trees galore for the daytime and a hot tub under the stars for the nighttime! Toys for the little kids and not just any toys!!! Toys this generation hardly sees, so that kept my three and four year old entertained forever! The house was spotless with plenty of room inside and TONS of room outside. That sounds like the perfect getaway, but then there's Reginna! Perfect hostess.. so incredibly sweet, but at the same time respects your privacy. You will not be disappointed in your stay here! It's absolutely peaceful and away from it all! We are already planning out next visit! We love your place Reginna and you are the perfect owner/ hostess for this Jewel in the Pines! See you soon!
Great unplugged getaway for family of four.
Very well maintained cabin in woods. Gracious host provided directions to shoot, kayak and hike in woods. Hammock and hot-tub was a nice feature. Very clean and stocked kitchen, bathroom, etc.
No wi-fi created a great environment to reconnect with teens. Thanks for sharing your cabin.
Hiking/mountain biking and hunting (in season only of course!!) right out your backdoor in the Angelina National Forest. Fishing and boat ramps just minutes away on Lake Sam Rayburn.
(Cassell Boykin County Park & Boat Ramp is 15 min away; Shirley Creek Boat Ramp and Jackson Hill Marina both 10 mins away from the lodge.)
