Cherith Marchase purchased this condo in 2008

Why Cherith Marchase chose Summit County Colorado

We purchased this property because our entire family love to ski. When we purchased the property we were living in Salida, Colorado, about a 90 minute drive to Copper Mountain. We tried to get away as often as we could. Copper Mountain has it all, wonderful skiing, terrific outdoor activities, excellent restaurants and bars, and great shopping! We remolded the condo recently to include a dual queen mattress in the bedroom; one side is firm, the other plush, installed two flat screen tv's, new carpet, new furniture and a sofa bed with upgraded mattress. In 2013 we replaced the kitchen counters with beautiful granite slabs. The bathroom houses a new vanity sink with a wooden cabinet. A copper sink with new faucet was also added in the kitchen.

What makes this condo unique

Copper Mountain is unique because it has it all; skiing, golfing, bicycle trails, hiking, boating at Lake Dillion, and right near the entertainment in Copper Mountain Center Village without having to drive anywhere. It has wonderful restaurants and pubs, and has great shopping in the Center Village.

Great place, great location, great time

  • 5 of 5

This condo was great, well decorated and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay very much. The condo isn't huge, but it is a nice size. We stayed with our two boys, one in high school and one in middle school. We had enough room to enjoy ourselves and not be stepping over each other, with a separate bedroom and there was a nice balcony for our morning coffee.

The location is really great, would be great if you are skiing at Copper Mountain (right next to the lifts), but it is also really great for summer vacation. Copper Mountain is pretty much an ideal central location for exploring most of the central Colorado region.

The condo was super cute, cozy and clean. Perfect location in the village for ski in ski out.

  • 5 of 5

The condo was great for my boyfriend and I. It had a balcony over looking the creek, and a TV that we could connect our lap top to, as well as being a two minute walk to the ski lift. Only complaints I have are that there was only one very small pot to cook in (although plenty of frying pans etc), and I would suggest bringing your own pillow unless you like thin ones.

Owner's Response: Next time you come and stay you will have several new pillows to choose from, a large pot to boil spaghetti, a couple more fry pans and an electric skillet. This is the only way we know what is missing is from your suggestions! Thank you for this! Cherith

Very nice 1-BD condo in Copper' main village.

  • 4 of 5

Nicely appointed one bedroom condo with pull out couch. Most of the amenities desired for four people to enjoy a short stay. I enjoyed streaming music from my phone to the stereo and the kids enjoyed a rented movie on the big screen over the fireplace. Most of the questions were answered the mailer from the very friendly & reachable owners.

Great spot in central village

Nice one bedroom. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Kids loved the hottub area.

Owner's Response: Yes the hot tub is a hit with kids as well as parents who have sore muscles and shins from skiing. You get in and you don't want to get out! If your lucky you might just get snowed on with the stars shining down upon you! Cherith

Car: recommended

Tucker Mountain Lodge is located within the Center Village. A terrific area where you park your car in the heated garage and won't need to use it your entire stay; you can walk to where you need to go. You can also take the FREE shuttle bus to the area towns; Breckenridge, Frisco.

At the resort, their is a Chapel, an Athletic Center (for a modest fee per person), fire station, numerous restaurants, clubs and conference center . The Center Village is where the action is at!

After a day of skiing come back to condo #427 and relax by the fireplace, with a glass of wine while you enjoy the company of your loved one. Your other option is to sit the hot tub and soak your sore muscles.

Activities elsewhere:

Ice Castles - Silverthorn, CO on Hwy 9 about 20 minute travel time. (These are man made!)

Skiing at Breckenridge or Keystone - take the FREE shuttle in the parking lot near Tucker Mountain Lodge and head to Breckenridge or Keystone for a day of skiing.

Shopping in Breckenridge, CO - Some of the best shops are located in Breckenridge! Parking can be difficult on main street, especially in the winter, with so many vehicles, but search for a spot on one of the side streets and walk, holding hands. Silverthorne offers great shopping at the Outlet Mall (the roof tops are various colors; green, red, blue.). Pick up a flier at one of the shops in the shopping mall for locations of each store.

St. Mary's Catholic Church - Outstanding, friendly and wonderful church. Mass on Sunday is at 8:00 am and 10:00 am. There is a new church in Silverthorne that was built in 2014, however we have not been to it yet.

Coffee and pastries - Abby's Coffee, Frisco, CO
