Why Cherith Marchase chose Copper Mountain

We purchased this property because our entire family love to ski. When we purchased the property we were living in Salida, Colorado, about a 90 minute drive to Copper Mountain. We tried to get away as often as we could. Copper Mountain has it all, wonderful skiing, terrific outdoor activities, excellent restaurants and bars, and great shopping! We remolded the condo recently to include a dual queen mattress in the bedroom; one side is firm, the other plush, installed two flat screen tv's, new carpet, new furniture and a sofa bed with upgraded mattress. In 2013 we replaced the kitchen counters with beautiful granite slabs. The bathroom houses a new vanity sink with a wooden cabinet. A copper sink with new faucet was also added in the kitchen.

What makes this condo unique

Copper Mountain is unique because it has it all; skiing, golfing, bicycle trails, hiking, boating at Lake Dillion, and right near the entertainment in Copper Mountain Center Village without having to drive anywhere. It has wonderful restaurants and pubs, and has great shopping in the Center Village.

We had a really nice stay at Copper Mt. in Charith's condo. She is a lovely hostess and very accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend this condo.

Owner's Response: Ann We try to help you have "the best" vacation by catering you whatever you may need! So glad you had a terrific time skiing! The snow is awesome this season. Just got dumped on yesterday April 13th. Guess Friday the 13th isn't unlucky at all! Copper Mt received a foot of snow!

Really enjoyed our stay.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was lovely and felt cozy for our family. We give the outdoor hot tub 2 thumbs up. The only reason I'm rating our stay a 4 is the fact that Copper Mtn security yelled at me when I called them requesting to be let in upon arrival. They said they were not the personal check-in staff for the owners. Aside from this unexpected initial encounter, we would return for a longer stay next time. We'll just wait for some kind person to let us in the building instead of dealing with security!

It was a nice location in Center Village and the size of the condo worked well for the two of us.

  • 3 of 5

Getting a good nights sleep to be ready to ski every day was a bit of a struggle. The heat for the wall units was turned completely off but yet we would wake up hot and sweating every night when it was 30 degrees outside. We finally opened a window each night so we could sleep. The mattress was worn and uncomfortable. The pillows were yellowed and worn out so we bought new ones to sleep on. The condo is nice and functional for a good ski trip and only issue was the heat and bedding.

Good location but a bit outdated

  • 3 of 5

I am giving this condo 3 stars. It is Very close to Center Village and American Eagle lift which is great. However, the pans are very old and should be replaced as it took a long time to clean them and the blankets for the pullout couch (Nice couch bed Mattress!) are very old and outdated. It is also too difficult to get into the place and I had to "sneak" into the parking garage at night by running in and then the lock box is a tough buttons to open. We have stayed at Other condos(right next to this one) which was the same cost for more space and there they have an attendant help your check in. It is a cute place but needs a bit of TLC in my opinion. It is adequate space for 3 (not many places to put your clothes for storing) my husband, 8 yr old and I but not too many more than that . The mattress in main room is comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed three nights. Perfect location. Can't get any closer to the lifts at center village. Cherith was easy to book with. Condo had everything we needed; cookware, utensils, assorted pillows, lots of towels, entertainment systems, etc. lots of great restaurants in center village as well. Would definitely stay again. Can't wait to go back!

Car: recommended

Tucker Mountain Lodge is located within the Center Village. A terrific area where you park your car in the heated garage and won't need to use it your entire stay; you can walk to where you need to go. You can also take the FREE shuttle bus to the area towns; Breckenridge, Frisco.

At the resort, their is a Chapel, an Athletic Center (for a modest fee per person), fire station, numerous restaurants, clubs and conference center . The Center Village is where the action is at!

After a day of skiing come back to condo #427 and relax by the fireplace, with a glass of wine while you enjoy the company of your loved one. Your other option is to sit the hot tub and soak your sore muscles.

Activities elsewhere:

Ice Castles - Silverthorn, CO on Hwy 9 about 20 minute travel time. (These are man made!)

Skiing at Breckenridge or Keystone - take the FREE shuttle in the parking lot near Tucker Mountain Lodge and head to Breckenridge or Keystone for a day of skiing.

Shopping in Breckenridge, CO - Some of the best shops are located in Breckenridge! Parking can be difficult on main street, especially in the winter, with so many vehicles, but search for a spot on one of the side streets and walk, holding hands. Silverthorne offers great shopping at the Outlet Mall (the roof tops are various colors; green, red, blue.). Pick up a flier at one of the shops in the shopping mall for locations of each store.

St. Mary's Catholic Church - Outstanding, friendly and wonderful church. Mass on Sunday is at 8:00 am and 10:00 am. There is a new church in Silverthorne that was built in 2014, however we have not been to it yet.

Coffee and pastries - Abby's Coffee, Frisco, CO
