Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for s week and loved the location! You can't see the beach from the unit but you are literally across the road from the beach access. We were able to go back and forth to the beach easily. The property was perfect for our teens who appreciated their own bathroom and TV. Wifi was great, kitchen had all we needed and we enjoyed using the boogie boards. Plenty of restraints down A1A and grocery stores just 2 miles away. Thanks for a great week!

Nicely maintained and close to the beach!

  • 5 of 5

The property was a great place to vacation. We enjoyed our stay. We were only steps to the beach and only a short drive to shopping and entertainment. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and quiet. A perfect spot for a quiet beach trip.

  • 5 of 5

I really can't say enough about the condo, beach and overall area! All of it was beautiful, the condo itself was very clean and well stocked as if I was home. We could count the people in the beach! I hate an overcrowded beach :) plenty of things to do in St. Augutine which wasn't too far away and loads of fantastic restaurants. After years of trying new beaches to vacation at I believe I have finally found the perfect place :)

We will definitely return!!

Exactly what we wanted for a family of four

  • 5 of 5

Overall, we thought the place was exactly as promised. The house has enough room for four (which was the size of our party) so we could easily move around and not fall all over each other. The kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, silverware, gadgets, and the like to allow us to have a few meals in the condo. The bathrooms were spacious enough to allow us all to do the things we needed to do and not run into each other. The place was also exceptionally clean when we arrived.

The owner provided all the information we needed to easily access the property, and the property was clearly clean and well taken care of. Its location also made it easy for us to access the beach, but also to have relatively quick access to St. Augustine proper, which was only 20 minutes away by car. We rented boards from Big Bill's Beach Stuff, but that proved to be a bit of a hassle (I wouldn't recommend renting from there). For one evening, we ordered pizza for the kids from Tony's, and it smelled and tasted amazing. If you want to order in for a night, that appears to be one of very few options, but at least it's good.

The beach area to which we had access was not overcrowded. We pretty much had our run of the area. If you are looking for a party on the beach, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a spot on the beach where you will not get run over in the water, this is ideal. We had plenty of fun in the ocean and never really had to worry about anyone getting in our way or being in anyone else's way. The one issue with accessing the beach is crossing the A1A. While it isn't dangerous by any stretch, there is not a crosswalk, and drivers along the A1A do not seem all the intent on even slowing down for people trying to cross the street. That being said, we didn't have any issues trying to get across the A1A.

It was a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend a condo like this to a family of four for sure.

Excellent condo, great location, great fishing!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to book a quick trip at the end of Spring Break. St. Augustine was the perfect driving distance from NC so we jumped on VRBO and started looking. We stumbled upon this great condo and decided to book it based on great reviews. I reached out to the owners and their response time was great. They answered all my questions and we were on our way. Located on the A1A just across the street from Crescent Beach access is simply. The condo itself was perfect for the four of us and in great shape. Kitchen is great for all your meal, fully equipped. We are big fishers, we discovered Devil's Elbow for boat rentals just down the street. The Matazas Inlet produced tons of fish and has great sandbars. Historic downtown is a 15 minute drive. We are hooked and will be back next season.

A First Time Snowbird Review

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the month of February, 2016 in the condo. The condo is comfortable and has a lovely kitchen, two bedrooms, two very nice bathrooms, a modern laundry, along with three televisions, wifi, and cable. And, it is in a perfect location. It is literally across A1A from beautiful Crescent Beach and a block away from the Matanzas River. We walked on the beach as much as we could. And, we found parks and trails throughout the area for long walks.

The condo is a short distance from truly historic St. Augustine. We visited the city many times and recommend the green trolley tour. If you are a foodie, restaurants abound in the city and do not miss the distillery and winery. South on A1A, there is more history to see at Fort Matanzas, Washington Oaks Garden Park, Bulow Plantation Ruins Park.

We were so comfortable and had such a great time, we are returning next year, same place, same time.

About Owner/Manager

We live nearby in St Augustine and want to be sure our place meets all your expectations. We love St Augustine and Crescent Beach!

Owner/Manager purchased this condo in 2012

Why Owner/Manager chose Crescent Beach

As long term residents of the area, we are excited to have a peaceful little place at the beach. We also like boating and this property with it's unique location with the beach and the intercoastal at the doorstep is great. See the satellite image, our place is on a little slice of land between the beach and the Intercoastal. Nice little 'beach town' flavor of local fare. Just up the street, if you have a 4 wheel drive, you can drive on the beach when tides permit. During the summer season, a fee is required for vehicle beach access.

What makes this condo unique

This part of the beach is not like some beaches with miles and miles of tall 15 story condos. The beach is beautiful and is mostly residential and beachside casual restaurants. Crescent Beach is just far enough away from the traffic and hustle and bustle of downtown. But only 10 minutes gets you to the historic, romantic city of St. Augustine with more to do than you could ever hope for. We've been here for years and we still haven't seen it all ! We have a list of phone numbers to a lot of the site seeing places for you in our condo...and some of our fave spots for dinner, etc...Did I mention that Marineland is 5 miles down the road to see dolphins? If there is a fisherman in your family, boat trailer parking is accomodated or you can just fish from the small pier at the end of our street on the intercoastal waterway while the girls and kids hang at the beach on the other side of the street.

Crescent Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in North Florida and our condo is just steps across the street to a walkway over the dunes, and you are there. This beach is wide and long for miles. The sand is soft as silk at the top and hard packed toward the water, great for bicycling. Our condo is uniquely situated with the beach on one side and the intercoastal on the other. One block from our condo is the boat ramp and a small fishing pier on the intercoastal waterway; a great morning stroll for awesome sunrise with your coffee and evening sunsets. There are several casual beach restaurants within walking distance. We are only 10 miles from Old Historic Downtown St Augustine for tons of dining experiences and LOTS of shopping. Site seeing includes Alligator Farm Zoological Park, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, Ghost Tours, Potter's Wax Museum, Pirate Museum, Fort Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Matanzas, Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, San Sebastian Winery, too many to list. Our condo is the perfect distance away from the bustle and traffic of downtown. After site seeing, it's the perfect spot to relax at the beach, pool and the intercoastal at your doorstep. If you're a water bug, there are kayaking tours and family boat charters and I've listed their contact numbers in a notebook in our condo for you. If there is a fishman in your family, the intercoastal is 1 block at the end of our street and again has a small pier and boat ramp. The condo lot accomodates boat trailer parking. If you bring your 4 wheel drive, driving on the beach, tides permitting is allowed just down the street to a vehicle access point. Whether you're a shop a holic, a beach bum wannabe, a jogger or if you just want to relax and unwind, this is your spot. Marineland is just 5 miles South of us. If you love dolphins as we do, you gotta see. A little further drive North of St Augustine, you'll find World Golf Village, Outlet Malls of St Augustine, St. Augustine Flea Market.
