CEDAR COVE is an amazing brand new custom home on 8.5 acres, with over 300 feet of oceanfront and a private sandy beach. It is located a couple minutes north of the picturesque town of Lincolnville, 15 minutes from Camden and Belfast. The views are outstanding, whether it's admiring the islands in the distance, watching the ferry go between Lincolnville and Isleboro Island, having a nightcap while the sun sets behind the Camden Hills, or gazing up at a million stars at night from the beach. The house is brand new (it was finished in 2016), but was designed to emulate the charm of historic Maine cottages and incorporate local materials. This includes slate floors and countertops from a local quarry, rustic wide plank pine flooring milled from Maine white pine, and a large rock fireplace in the living room built from local fieldstone.

The home has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. Three bedrooms have King size beds, with two of the bedrooms having en suite bathrooms. The fourth bedroom is a great room for kids, with a full size bed and bunkbeds. The family room also has a Queen size foldout couch. The house comfortably sleeps 12 people.

The kitchen area is very luxurious and modern. It has gorgeous slate countertops and custom cabinetry. All of the comforts of home await the lucky chef. There is a large zinc-wrapped island with seating around the island, as well as a dining table that seats 6 people. There are two porches off the living room - a covered porch with chairs to admire the view and a screened porch for eating al fresco during the summer, without having to worry about any insects. The living room has comfortable seating around a cozy wood-burning fireplace. There is firewood provided. In the basement there is a large family room, with a 60 inch 4k TV and a gas fireplace. Every feature of this home is custom and of the highest standards. It has a very luxurious feel while still being cozy and comfortable.

Cedar Cove is the perfect spot to access all that mid-coast Maine has to offer and is a beautiful home to spend any season of the year. Of course Maine's fame as "Vacation Land" is best linked with the summer, but whether it's the bright greens of spring, the explosion of fall colors, or the beauty of the ocean in winter, Cedar Cove let's you enjoy all Maine has to offer. Within minutes you can grab a great pizza at the Beach Store or enjoy some award winning blueberry wine at Cellar Door Winery in Lincolnville, catch a movie at the historic Colonial Theatre in Belfast, or purchase lobster fresh off the boat.

The surrounding area has so many activities:

* Camden ... the quintessential Maine town, with the Windjammer Festival, Camden Hills State Park, and the National Toboggan Championships - 15 min. South

* Rockland ... the Lobster Festival (70 years in 2017), the Farnsworth Museum, and ferries to Maine's famous outer islands - Monhegan, Matinicus, and Vinalhaven - 30 min. South

* Boothbay Harbor ... the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Windjammer Days, and boating trips to see whales and puffins - 60 min South

* Belfast - Maine Celtic Festival, Marshall Wharf Brewery, Arts in the Park, and Belfast Harbor Fest - 15 min North

* Bar Harbor Area... Acadia National Park, the Lupine Festival, Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse 90 min North

Amazing Maine getaway

  • 5 of 5

Cedar Cove was an amazing place to stay for our Maine vacation. The house is located on the bay, with a gorgeous view. It is well appointed, and very clean, with anything you would need in a vacation home. The beds are super comfortable and the linens were lovely as well. It truly became our home away from home as it felt more like our home than just a house to stay in. We plan to be back at Cedar Cove for sure!

Total relaxation

  • 5 of 5

House is very impressive. We had enough room plus some. Enjoyed walking along the beach and looking for shells. Took little trips to all the surrounding towns during the day and sat by the fire at night.

Perfect house for the perfect Main Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The home was perfect. Very comfortable for 3 couples, each one having their own space. Bathrooms, Bedrooms. The beach area was quiet and beautiful. Privacy plus. The location is so close to other activities. We drove to Bar Harbor twice to enjoy the shopping and the boat rides. Shopped and dined in Belfast. We enjoyed a few Restaurants but our favorite was Anglers. Not as fancy as others but the food was superb. Joe, the home owners representative locally was so gracious and answered all of our questions about the area. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a complete Maine experience.

Beautiful, beautiful home on the water. Fantastic view!

There were two couples on the trip. We loved the house, the sunsets, nice comfortable beds. The house has everything you need if you want to cook. We ate out except for breakfast, and was so nice to come back to this beautiful house.

Just about perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This home is just about perfect for a visit to midcoast Maine. It is almost new, very clean, and well equipped. Located between Camden and Belfast, it is convenient for day trips to Camden, Belfast, Searsport, Rockland, and Acadia and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed visits to all of these and as well visiting Mainely Pottery, Windsor Chairmakers, Duck Decoys. Our group of 3 couples enjoyed dining at Whale's Tooth, Chez Michel, and Youngtown Inn. We took late afternoon walks on the beach and enjoyed the privacy of the location. The property manager, Joe, was very helpful with anything we asked. We would definitely recommend it to others.

A Perfect Week !

  • 5 of 5

The house is brand new and in pristine condition.Waking up, opening your eyes to see beautiful Penobscot Bay never got old. I grew up in the area and am familiar with the beach in front of the house, a factor which drew me to spend a week there with my family who are still in the area. We loved the well equipped open kitchen, spacious bedrooms and baths and overall layout of the house. It is your own private beach retreat. The owners were very prompt responding to any questions I had regarding the property before I arrived . We enjoyed swimming, jumping in the waves on one high surf day, a little fishing, shell and seaglass collecting on the beach. One day we went to the Owls Head transportation museum in Thomaston which was outstanding. Chez Michelle restaurant in Lincolnville is south about 1 mile which is always good , but all and all we enjoyed peace and quiet the beach & activities with family.
