Welcome to Adobe View!
We hope if you are planning a trip to beautiful Moab, Utah that we can be part of your accommodation plans. This site is designed to help you understand what to expect at Adobe View & hopefully answer any questions you might have about the property & to provide you with contact & reservation information.
First of all, as the name implies, Adobe View was designed to take advantage of the unique topography of the Moab Valley. The property is situated in a beautiful part of the Colorado River Canyon in Old Town Moab. The La Sal mountains, snow-capped most of the year, are beautifully visible in the south part of the views. Arches National Park is visible on the north & the entire Moab Valley stretches out before you, allowing you to see the incredible green Oasis against the stark red rock desert. Adobe View has an unobstructed 25 mile view, which includes gorgeous views of the Moab Rim, the Portal & the surrounding canyon. Adobe View is uniquely situated in Old Town Moab & yet still has incredible panoramic views.
Adobe View is only 4 blocks from the Restaurant/Shopping/Downtown areas, an easy & enjoyable bike ride or walk, a very special & rare location. Because the extensive wrap around porches face many different angles, there is always the option to have sun or shade. Not only do the porches offer stunning panoramic views, but they also provide multiple outside sitting areas for dinning, entertaining or just enjoying quiet time. After a day's activity, recline in the hammock, read your favorite book or just stare out at the blue desert sky.
Adobe View has a 300 ft. private drive, which provides for 10-12 off-street, private parking spaces for cars or Jeeps & 2 RV'S spaces. There is a fully enclosed 2 car garage, 2 covered car ports & plenty of room for boats, motorcycles or bicycles.
The house comfortably sleeps 6, a King Bed Master Suite, a Queen Bed guest room, & another room with 2 bunk beds. All bedrooms have 'en suite' private baths, except for the bunk bedroom which 'shares' the bathroom with the 2nd floor living room/dining room. The Master Suite & Guest Room have their own French doors opening onto the wrap around porches.
The Master Suite & Guest Room have jetted tubs, & custom tile work & sinks. The jetted tub in the Master Suite is a 2 person larger tub with views of the La Sal mountains as you sit & soak.
Each floor has its own laundry, one in the Master Suite on the 3rd floor & the other is on the 2nd floor to provide ease & convenience.
The Master Suite also has walk-in 'His & Hers' closets, while the other bedrooms have full in room closets.
There are 2 living rooms, one on the 2nd floor with an open floor plan featuring the kitchen & dinning room. The other living room(The Great Room) is on the 3rd floor & has a 42' flat screen TV & of course WiFi is free. All the furnishings recline to provide a relaxing in home theater. The interiors are distinctively Western with a flair for the 4 corners motif. The house attempts to 'marry' the outside custom stone work & rough sawn timbers with the interior Santa Fe designs, creating a rustic elegance of log, wood & stone.
Beautiful American Cherry Hardwood floors are throughout the house.
The kitchen features custom 'Blue Bay' granite counter tops, custom 'Blue Pine' cabinets & a fascinating custom one of a kind trapezoid stone sink. There is also a 'faux' old fashioned stove & oven, which looks like an old wood burning stove of yesteryear, but is really a modern stove & oven in disguise. The kitchen otherwise is fully equipped with a microwave & all other appliances including service for eight.
There are many other charming 'touches' & thoughtful details designed to make your stay enjoyable & memorable.
Even though there are neighbors in the general vicinity, Adobe View, because of its unique topography, offers a very quiet & private situation. It sits on its own little shelf, on the hill, giving you the feeling of being in your own private Tree House. All the French doors open to a refreshing & abundant breeze, & natural light floods into each room.
Adobe View is a perfect Honeymoon destination, romantic & special. It also could serve as a great family retreat, executive meeting spot or just a great place to stay. Whatever your needs are, we would be honored to be part of your plans & our staff will go the extra mile to make sure your stay in the Canyonlands is relaxing & amazing & that your every need is met.

How We Discovered Moab
Over the years many people have asked Tina & myself why or how we came to Moab. The story begins in Key West, Fl, where we are from, & where we still call home. In the early 1980's, we were still children of the 1960's & 1970's & had a old 1968 Volkswagen van that was our home & vehicle to adventure. We had heard many stories of the West & dreamed of exploring places like Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park & more.
Being young & idealistic musicians, we sought new frontiers, going from town to town seeking our
own version of Shangra La. We visited hot springs, camped In the mountains, hiked the canyons & drove the desert roads. As one might expect, extended trips tend to take a toll on old Volkswagens, & so it came to pass that one day we found ourselves in need of some pretty hard to find parts. Now remember, this is before the Internet, & vintage parts were somewhat difficult to find. However, where there's a will, there's a way, I just kept asking everyone we met in our travels if they knew of a place where such hard to find parts would be available, & finally one lucky day a gentleman that we just happen to meet in our travels,( probably another fellow Volkswagen enthusiast), told me of the Holy Grail of Volkswagen parts, some place called Tom Tom's in an equally strange place called Moab, UT.
So off we went, little did we know what we would find, since neither of us had ever been to the Great State of Utah, much less to a place called Moab.
We appreciate Moab as often as we can & are thankful for all the good & kind people we have met & known over the years.

Our family had three wonderful weeks in Moab with our Jeeps. Staying at Adobe View was the perfect place to gather and end each day's excitement as we overlooked downtown Moab and enjoyed outstanding sunsets. The furnishings were a bit sparten, but we were reimbursed for some items we purchased that were needed. Philip is a great owner and was full of suggestions about things to see and do in Moab. We hope to return someday and would love to stay at the Adobe View. We would recommend this property; it was the perfect place for us in our first visit to this wonderful land!
The house was perfect. The views were awesome and the house will not disappoint. I WILL stay here again on my next trip to Moab. Very nice location!
Wow, words can't describe the attention to detail in the house and the gorgeous view it provided on all floors. During the week long vacation we enjoyed the houses comfort and proximity to downtown Moab. The biggest thrill was that the house had a 360 degree view of the local mountain range from inside and outside of the house. My wife and I would love to sit out on the patio chairs and watch the sunset, if it got too breezy we could have the same view from inside of the house as well. This house provided the base for a relaxing and wonderful week of vacation. Don't pass this house up, it has all the pleasantries that can be desired of a home in Moab. The house was very clean and had all the modern appliances that will be needed on vacation.
Our family of 7 stayed in this luxurious and modern adobe home for a week. We have stayed in several VRBO rentals in the past, however, none come close to matching this beautiful home. As I looked around Moab during the week, I saw nothing that compared to this particular setting. The owners, Phil and Tina, have obviously selected the perfect setting for this home with its panoramic views, especially in the evening sunset hours. I was able to take beautiful sunset pictures of the surrounding mountains that I will print and use for my own personal decoration. Every detail inside and outside the structure of this home has obviously been given much thought. Top notch materials were used throughout the home, inside and out. The furniture, including the outside loungers, is beautiful and certainly adds to the southwest decor. The home is built in a very open pattern giving each of us plenty of personal space. We cooked in the evenings and found everything one could possibly want already provided in the kitchen. Other family members joined us in the evenings for dinner and even a marshmallow roast outside in the provided pit. We would have a total of 13 family members eating together and really having a great time in the evenings.
As the home is centrally located and getting to town by car or walking a couple of blocks is not a problem, we were able to shop and dine right in town as well. Each day, we all had planned activities including rafting, hiking in Arches and Canyonland National parks, and jeep off-roading. All of these activities are available withing 30 minutes of the adobe home. It was so nice to know we had a comfortable home to return to within a short distance of each activity.
This was truly a wonderful vacation for our family. It was great having our children and grandchildren all staying together in this home. Moab was the perfect destination with so many things to do for all ages. The owners have certainly done an outstanding job with this home. Hope to be able to return and enjoy it all over again! Thanks, Phil and Tina.
My family of five stayed in this home for one month. It looks impressive from the photos, but it is significantly more impressive in person. If there is a better place to stay in Moab, I'm not sure where it is. The location, view, home, and setting are superb. The owner has put a lot of effort in to building an amazing and custom home. The intricacies of the architecture make the stay in this place all that much more enjoyable. Two levels of decks with amazing panoramic views!
The two car garage was great for storing all of our bikes, skateboards, scooters, camping gear, etc.
The fire pit setting in the back yard is a great addition and I wish we would have used it more than we did. The WiFi was actually pretty good. I do work online and the speed was something like 10 Mbps, which is sufficient for getting done what needs to get done.
We had many visitors stop by when we were here, and this house had plenty of extra chairs at the tables for dinner guests.
I don't have anything negative to say about this home and could not say enough positive things about the home and Phillip, the owner.
Moab itself is basically the basecamp for a lifetime of adventure. We do road biking, mountain biking, cyclocross, hiking, canyoneering, camping, rock climbing, running, and sight seeing. Moab is known for mountain biking, but the road biking is actually world class in my opinion and a fairly well kept secret. We keep thinking that a month will be a sufficient time to get our adventure in, but we always end up leaving Moab thinking that we didn't even scratch the surface.
Five of us stayed at Adobe View for eight days end of October and early November. It was a wonderful house with lots of windows for panoramic views of the surrounding area, wonderful decks around the house, great kitchen for cooking the occasional meal in, all the amenities, and two great living spaces. We also appreciated bathrooms attached to each of the bedrooms. The house was within easy walking distance to old town Moab and its great restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the magnificent scenery and the hiking, biking, river rafting and all other opportunities available through the area. Arches National Park, Canyonlands and Dead Horse......all fantastic.
There are 2 National Parks, many Jeeping, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing,Hiking, River Rafting, Exploring Activities. Moab is an International World Class Resort Destination with activities for all ages & interests.See our Website
