Relax and enjoy our 5 star home. LOVELY, 3 BEDROOM, 2 BATH EXECUTIVE HOME in a beautiful private treed setting. Our home has an attached one car garage. Open floor plan, light and bright, floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the eat-in kitchen w/ granite counter tops and island, stainless steel appliances, large table with seating for 8. Large island with stainless range with seating for 4. Watch the deer and elk as you enjoy your morning coffee on the deck off the kitchen overlooking one of the elk migration paths in Estes Park.
This lovely home is beautifully furnished in rustic elegance, large living room with gas fireplace. Three large bedrooms all located on the main level; master bedroom elegantly furnished with king size bedroom suite; second bedroom with queen size bedroom suite, third bedroom with two twin beds. 5 Star quality, luxurious 100% cotton bedding! All rooms have large area rugs covering the wood floors as well as the ceramic tile floor in office. Ceramic tile and granite in the 4 piece, updated upstairs bathroom with private commode area. Completely updated 3 piece bathroom downstairs. 100% cotton rugs in the bathrooms are changed and replaced with fresh rugs for each party.
For those who like to take their work with them, fully equipped office with desk, printer, WIFI, recliners,for those who might like to get away for an afternoon of reading or napping. Large family room with sleeper sofa and love-seat, large, flat-screen TV, game table, foosball and even a popcorn machine cart for movie night! Full-size Maytag washer and dryer. Large, one car garage. Naturally landscaped yard with gorgeous tall pines surrounded by huge rock outcroppings, (the reason for the single car garage) natural stone steps and landscaping. The large backyard can accommodate a game of horseshoes and badminton or whatever. The naturally landscaped and private backyard is furnished with an extra large, gas grill, extra-long picnic table and large deck with seating around the firepit for those chilly summer evenings our mountains are famous for. Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating for 8 - 12; two glider loveseats, two adirondack chairs, bar height table with four chairs. Two tables with chairs on the wrap-around deck on the front of home for your morning coffee.
Our home is located in the beautiful and desirable One Thousand Pines subdivision, on a quaint lane one block off highway 7, Peak to Peak Scenic Highway, less than a mile from the main street in Estes Park. Scenic golf course located across the street. Located next door is the historic and charming Stone Home. I call it the Hobbit House, complete with curved doorway and windows.
WIFI, light and bright, wood floors throughout upper level and family room on the lower level. Moss rock gas fireplace in the living room. No more messy wood! A large, flat-screen TV, with satellite connection in both the family room and living room. Lots of games for family fun in television console. Attached garage with garage door opener and with the entrance located on the lower level walk-out. All bedrooms come complete with a luggage rack, alarm clock and a fan for those warm nights in addition to the ceiling fans. Sorry, no air conditioning, however with the cool mountain nights, air conditioning is not necessary. Fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including a coffee maker, popcorn popper, crock pot, iced tea maker, microwave and dishwasher. This beautiful home is elegantly furnished in good taste for your comfort and enjoyment. All bedding, linens and towels furnished. Each bathroom is furnished with a hand-held two-sided mirror, hair dryer and also included are (personalized handmade soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion) for our guests. Watch the deer and elk graze while surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

For those of you who love to hike and enjoy the outdoors, Rocky Mountain National Park is just a few miles down the road with miles and miles of hiking trails. Small to medium size dogs considered and dependent upon age of dog. We love our home and for that reason, we will not allow puppies and dogs that are not house broken. Damage deposit will be forfeited if dogs soil on floors or carpets or if they chew and destroy my furniture.

Having loved Colorado from the very first time my family and I visited when I was just a young girl, I knew then, that Colorado was where I wanted to live when I grew up. And so, at the age of 20, over 40 years ago, I moved to the place of my dreams.
When my mother would come to visit me during the summers, Estes Park was one place that she wanted to visit each year. Her love of the mountains, especially the charm of Estes Park and the peaceful serenity and beauty the mountains especially Rocky Mountain National Park is something that we both shared. Which is the reason, when I had the chance to purchase Two Pines on Shady Lane, I felt this was one opportunity I just couldn't pass up.
My family and I love to visit Estes Park whenever we can. We love our home and the close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park not to mention the beauty that surrounds this magical place. This a perfect vacation spot for my family and I believe you will find it to be even better than what you expected as soon as you enter Two Pines on Shady lane.

Located on one of several migration paths of the elk, hundreds of which pass through this cozy lane. Elk and deer graze in and around Two Pines and often spend the afternoon resting in the yard. Located just one block off the Peak to Peak Scenic Highway. Here is some of the most picturesque scenery in the world. Two Pines offers all the comforts of home with plenty of room for everyone. This home can easily accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably.
We traveled from Tennessee to enjoy the scenery, the climate and hiking with our daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. At Two Pines we appreciated the fact that you offer a discount to returning guests. The grandkids had a great time and we enjoyed making memories with them. The activities we enjoyed the most were hiking, shopping and the fireworks on the 4th of July.

We were extremely happy with the accommodations and the owner. Everything was as expected. Carol seen that everything was perfect. She was very responsive if we had questions or problems which were few. We had a microwave go out and she had us a new one the same morning she was notified. She truly cares about her guests and her home. The only negative was the time was to short.

Great location, about 1.5miles from downtown Estes Park, very easy to find and get to.
Approximately 5.0 miles from the Beaver Meadows Visitors Center for the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Hiked through Bear Lake, Alberta Falls, and up to Emerald Lake....amazing sites and views everywhere! If you are exiting the park around
5:30p - 7p watch for Elk! It was rutting season and they were plentiful! Also walked around Estes Park Lake and saw elk there and on the
Very amazing rock shop called Red Rose Rock Shop about 2.3 miles away - go there! :D
The Safeway grocery store was about 1.0 mile away, very convenient.
Due to it's very convenient location, you will hear some cars going by, it is not extreme nor hugely distracting, just be aware that you will hear them.
Very well stocked kitchen - all the things you need to make great home cooked meals (including lasagna :). It has a full refrigerator with ice maker, electric range and oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave.
There were great instructions in the home to help you utilize the gas fireplace, gas firepit, and the gas / charcoal grill.
There was a fire ban in Estes Park, so no wood fires, but the gas firepit was very lovely.
Didn't utilize the popcorn maker, but it looked like fun!
The washer and dryer were super helpful to have on hand! Bring your quarters, it was $1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry (better than some laundromats).
Wifi worked very very well, even in the driveway!
Super comfortable home, you can tell it is well cared for! It was very tastefully decorated, not over the top, just enough to feel like home.
Every interaction with Ms. McSwain was wonderful, very informational, professional, prompt, and friendly!

P.S. - There was a female elk that walked right in front of the driveway one morning and a few nights we heard coyotes howling, very very cool! Also saw some tracks in the driveway from wildlife activities over night :)
It is abeautiful house, that makes you feel at home!
The house was spotless on our arrival! it was equipped with so many extras: a mirror with magnification, soaps, toiletries, area information guides ...
We enjoyed the patio balcony, in the afternoons after hiking, golfing, shopping ...
We saw deer, elk, rabbits, chipmunks, and birds in the yard.
Remember your quarters for the laundry, which is handy to have in the house.
The back deck and fire pit made for a nice evening.
Two Pines was a perfect fit for our family of 5. It was slightly off the beaten path, but still only a minute or two away from town. The layout of the house gave us plenty of space to enjoy times together as a family as well as quiet time alone as needed. Carol's attention to detail & all of the various amenities that come with the house were the cherry on top. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to RMNP.
My family and I had an amazing stay. The home was extremely clean. The location to downtown Estes was perfect. We liked the house because the kids could be downstairs and we could be upstairs and it was quiet. My only thing was I didn't know the laundry took quarters but the Bank of Estes was right down the street and they were very nice helping me out to get quarters. Thanks Carol for a great stay! We plan on coming back!

Enjoyed a great night on the deck around the gas fire pit. Property is very close to the downtown area. There is so much to see and do in Estes Park.

Estes Park offers many activities year around. Numerous festivals, craft fairs, horse shows, Scottish/Irish festival, elk bugling, the Aspen changing in the Fall, the Parade of Lights the day after Thanksgiving to kick off the Christmas Season, just to name just a few of the festivities throughout year in Estes Park.
