We want everyone to enjoy oceanfront Mauna Lani at an affordable price! We're Accountable 24/7. We're Givers. We have had a few CEOs from very large corporations stay at our condo. The pictures don't do it justice. If you rent from us, you'll be more than satisfied as we over-deliver. Our Cancellation Policy Protects both the guest and us. If a guest cancels their reservation outside 60 days, we'll refund their money immediately, less $150. If a guest cancels inside 60 days, we'll keep the 50% deposit but issue a credit to be used in the following 12 months. We have had guests who had unforeseen events happen. These guests have re-booked dates. We only accept check, Wire Transfer or PayPal. Additionally, why can we offer this low rate? We purchased both condos during the darkest days of the credit crisis. Fortunately, due to our cost basis, we're able to pass on the savings to guests. Our mortgage rate is also very low helping defray the high H.O.A., utility and property tax payments. We're repeatedly asked this by potential guests so we felt compelled to post our pricing methodology on VRBO. Additionally, we don't profit from the 1x cleaning fee. We pay $156.25 fyi. The Mauna Lani Terrace offers 1, 2 and 3 bedroom 'Deluxe' and 'Superior' condominiums located in the heart of the Mauna Lani Resort. Adjacent to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel the Terrace is a short walk to the Beach Club and all other resort features. The 'Deluxe' units have all been remodeled while the 'Superior' units are also well appointed.
The Terrace offers quality, privacy, luxury, and a real sense of getting away from it all. Each of the Terrace condominiums is designed to maximize views of the ocean and the historic Hawaiian fishponds that create a lagoon setting.
The on-site recreation pavilion at the Terrace condominiums includes a 22' x 60' swimming pool, spa, sauna, children's pool, gas barbecues and picnic areas. This property has so much to offer. Amazing views of the ocean and lakes. The beautiful property is green and lush with two pools, sauna, jacuzzi, and private BBQ's. Enjoy time at the pool while looking at the ocean and beach. We are located close to The Mauna Lani Shopping Center with a full service grocery store. Access to the private beach and restaraunt for the homeowners and guests at Mauna Lani. Beach activities include: Stand up paddling, snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching; and a sunset sail. Private lawn chairs and gear rentals at beach.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at Mike's wonderful condo at Mauna Lani earlier this week. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need or want and Mike was very helpful in coordinating a couple of requests that we made. The view from the Lani is to die for as is the entire property - well maintained, quality and very friendly service. Mike's "condo information book" is amazing - it has up to date information on the Island as well as the immediate resort area, we would not hesitate to stay here on our next visit to the Big Island and will be recommending Mike's lace to anyone who asks. We are a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids; 7 and 9 years-old) flying from Switzerland. We spent a week at Mauna Lani. First thing, a big thank you to the owner Mike who were always responsive and who did perfectly manage all our queries including additional cleaning needs and other small things. He was very helpful with the information he provided us with. The condo perfectly fits the needs of our family. It is safe, very clean including the surroundings, very close to the pool side & BBQ, close to the beach and sea, and to the beach house. The Mauna Lani shopping area is at a walking distance as well. Golfs are around although we do not play golf. The appartement itself was very comfortable: the kitchen had everything you may need and more; the bathrooms very large; the bed comfortable, the air-con not noisy (although not really required during the night); the water gears were at disposal. The electronics devices were also at disposal but we haven't used them. The beach house is great for dinning. The lanai is nice and quiet. We haven't found at any moment that the place was crowded and we always found a place at the swimming pool, jacuzzi and a seat at the beach. The swimming pool is fine but we spent more time at the beach. The beach and the sea are fantastic, "really fantastic" and I can say that as we have extended experience on this matter, all around the world. The beach is clean, the sand white & soft, the water warm and transparent. Snorkeling is a must and you'll see even more animals compared to a regular dive. Plenty of small fishes, morays, turtles and we have even seen wild dolphins close to us whilst snorkeling with the kids at 7.30 AM. To make my review short, you won't be wrong when staying there. The price is in line with the place, not cheap. We can also recommend great dinnings at Merman's in Waimea (20 minutes drive) and at the Fairmont (5 minutes drive). Simply a great address to relax although there are plenty of things to do around if the beach is boring for you (i.e. climbing on Mauna Kea, etc.). Thank you !
We stayed in Mike and Lori's condo for 10 days and absolutely loved it. The lanai was our favourite spot for morning coffee, lunch and an afternoon Pina Colada. The condo location is very tranquil and the view of the natural fish pond is lovely. The condo has all of the amenities one would need. It was very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The Mauna Lani resort property views of the ocean are breathtaking and we enjoyed our daily walk along the paths on the property and along the rocky coastline by the golf course. The Mauna Lani shops are convenient for groceries or a dinner out at one of many excellent restaurants. We rented a car and took day trips to the lookouts, the Volcano National Park and to Hilo for a helicopter ride over Kilauea. The Mauna Lani is a tropical paradise and we would not hesitate to return again! Thank you Mike and Lori for sharing your lovely condo with us.
We loved this condo! The location is great, with everything you need in the Mauna Lani resort, and the beach just a 5 minute walk away with great snorkeling. When we first searched for a condo, we were originally looking for one with an ocean view, but the view from the lanai overlooking the fish ponds was extremely relaxing and felt very tropical--probably better than an ocean view! We weren't sure if we would need the air conditioning but it was very welcome at the beginning of July.
Everything about the condo was great, it had all the amenities needed (kitchenware, beach gear, linens, etc), was clean, and exactly as portrayed by the pictures. Mike was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

I arrived off a long flight from Australia to a blasting cold condo which was perfect as it was quite humid outside. The condo was immaculate and I jumped straight into the lovely bath to refresh.
Everything is immaculately clean and well appointed. I am on a strict low salt diet so we almost always take the self catering route and really enjoyed our stay in the resort. It felt luxurious and very quiet which was nice (we are now in Waikiki so quite a contrast!)
The resort itself is lovely - the ancient fishponds are an absolute sight to behold - I lost count at 12 moray eels! We mostly walked to Makaiwa for our swim / snorkelling, which is meant to be one of the top places on the BI to snorkel. The equipment provided by Michael and Lori was great and it was a really interesting walk as always something to spot in the fish ponds. As guests of the Terrace, you also get access to the beach club chairs.
We also walked around past the Mauna Lani Bungalows and saw two turtles resting on the beach which was pretty special.
Michael and Lori give you great advice on what to visit and where to eat so won't go into that too much, but we found Foodland great as we predominantly self catered.
I do think that they have thought of everything. The price is great, and it definitely was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island. I felt like we didn't do the island justice and would love to go back and stay again.
Michael is great in communicating and wants you to have a great stay. Don't doubt yourself - just book it!

My husband and 2 children stayed in this condo for a week during spring break. My husband is notoriously hard to please. He was very impressed with everything (I was too but I'm easy to please). There have been no expenses spared on this condo. The kitchen is beautiful. The appliances are high grade. The furniture was comfortable. The bed was super comfortable (it is a Sealy Posturepedic- I looked and plan to get one for my home) The bedding and towels were also high end. The view was AMAZING. Everything that you could need is in the apartment (snorkeling gear, beach towels and chairs, etc.) The owner does offer bike rentals for a small fee. The owner (Mike) is super helpful and very nice/easy to deal with. This is the first time I have used VRBO and was super nervous. Mike made me feel comfortable with the process. The location is about 20-30 min from Kona (1 1/2 hr is you try to go during rush hour traffic). However, there is a supermarket close by. There is a shopping center not to far in another resort.
