Deep in the woods on 38 private acres, only one mile from Bristol Mountain. Be as secluded as you want or as connected as you want with Wi-Fi, HD cable TV and excellent cell phone coverage. The only other property on our 38 acres, is our Bristol Cabin, also available on VRBO (#484719). The two cabins are 200 - 300 yards apart, and not in sight of each other.
During the winter months, you really need a four wheel drive vehicle if it is snowy or icy The driveway gets plowed, but that doesn't always eliminate slippery spots if it stays below freezing. The driveway is very long with hills. If you come in a two wheel drive vehicle and it is snowy or icy, your chances of getting all the way up are 50/50.
My wife Mary Jane (MJ) and I and our three grown children (Sarah, Ben and Tim) are an adventure family. We sail, ski, bike, hike and more. We have lived in many different parts of the country and love Rochester's proximity to the great lakes, the finger lakes and the Bristol hills. We couldn't ask for more things to do in all seasons.
Jeff or Mary Jane Jones purchased this cabin in 2006
This property, nestled on 38 private acres in the heart of the Bristol Hills, is just a 'different world' for us. Only 35 minutes away from our primary residence in Victor, NY, we come to the Bristol Hills often, whenever we need to get away, relax and have fun.
There are beautiful views in all directions and from every window. Peaceful, quiet and always a ton of things to do while enjoying nature. Only a short drive to Canadaigua, Naples and Rochester, NY.
Overall we loved the experience- property was just as described- clean, cozy and cute. The cabin is up in the woods, but connected to everything, not to mention that is literally 2min drive from the Bristol Mountain. Definitely will go back!
We just spent 10 days there. Cozy A frame - perfect for 2. We loved the gas fireplace that provided heat and ambiance. We hiked at Gonandagan which was beautiful and only 20 minutes away. Would be a great spot for snow shoeing given a little more snow. Plenty of kitchen supplies and bedding. Jeff was very responsive in addressing a minor issue with the cable tv. Thank you for a great getaway. We hope to be back next winter.
My wife and I stayed at this lovely little A-frame cabin on our mini-moon right after our wedding. We wanted a quiet, peaceful retreat before we plan our full holiday and we definitely found it. We stayed in mid-November and it was a beautiful, winter wonderland when we arrived. Jeff and Mary Jane were very honest about the driveway conditions and whether or not our little Prius would be able to make it all the way up. We did our best and got to about 50ft away from the cabin! It was no problem bringing our luggage in from there and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay worry free. The cabin has all the modern amenities you would want but also feels rustic and secluded to help you escape from the rest of the world. The owners were as nice as could be with any other questions or recommendations we had. We will definitely try to stay again the next time we are in the Finger Lakes!
The A-Frame was a perfect weekend getaway. Jeff and MJ were always quick to respond to questions and were very accommodating. The property was just as described but even better when you take in the view for yourself of the Fall trees through the large windows from inside and when you step out onto the back patio. We would recommend to others and would love to stay here again.
We had such a magical stay here. Owners were very nice. I was deeply impressed with the property. cant wait until we can go back!
My boyfriend and I stayed up at this cabin for our anniversary and had a wonderful time!
The scenery is beautiful, and there is a fire pit right out front that is perfect for a cool fall night.
I would highly recommend this little a-frame for anyone looking to get away and enjoy some nature.
