Beautiful spacious apartment, just over the beach, with a terrace looking the Mediterranean.

The apartment has got a centralised Full Acclimatisation System( Air conditioned : cold and warm) at all the rooms, including the living room. As in summer it can be too hot and in winter it is much more comfortable with centralised warm acclimatisation. .

It has 2 big bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living room and independent dining room, kitchen, garage, and a big terrace over the beach and the sea. The big terrace, 20 sq meters is facing south, so you will have sun the whole day, and enjoy the sunrise - sunset. The terrace is fully equipped with a dining table and sunbeds.

You can stay in the apartment comfortably up to 4 adults, and 2 more children in extra beds.

All modern necessities are included: Free Internet access WIFI, TV, satellite antenna, microwave, washing machine,...

Beach front means literally ten steps from the door building, to Cotobro beach, a place well known as a beach and diving resort Near Golf fields, and Marina del Este port.

Located at the exclusive paradise of Cotobro, 10 minutes walk from the village of Almuñecar, where you can visit the city, the market, Moorish castle, bars.

A public bus is also available from the building door to the center .

ALMUÑECAR: This part of the Granada Mediterranean coastline in Costa Tropical is a must see for all visitors, because of its fullness of history.

Almuñecar witnessed outstanding achievements that formed the Mediterranean culture. ALPUJARRA: The Granada Alpujarra, near Almuñecar, boasts stunning scenery, including almond trees, vineyards grown on terraces.

Due to the particularly hilly terrain, the towns have adapted to the uneven land, which is why they are built spaced out and facing south, to make the most of the gentle Mediterranean climate. The cobbled, winding streets are ideal to go for a stroll and breathe in calmness and tranquility. Time really does seem to have stopped in the Alpujarra.

One of the main towns in the region is Lanjarón, also known as the Puerta de la Alpujarra. It is the perfect spot to relax in the mineral-medicinal waters. There is also Órgiva, distinguished by its Moorish style.

About Ana & Fernando

We bought this house as family vacation home. Now our children are older, and can only come a few days of vacation a year, so we decided to rent it when not in use.

We are now retired but we still tied to our professions of architecture and medicine

Why Ana & Fernando chose Costa Tropical & Lecrin Valley

This property was perfect for our family and what we needed for our vacation.

It is located on a quiet beach (Cotobro) of trasnparentes waters, with all facilities nearby: Shops, bars and restaurants

The building is a good building with only three floors, a few apartments (18), but very large and very good quality, all exterior both the master bedroom and the living room, with access to the terrace and views of the beach and the sea.

From the spacious terrace, just above the beach and the sea where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner for 8 people easily, you can watch a 180 degree panorama of the Mediterranean Sea, and Cape Punta de la Mona.

The privileged location, facing south, makes it possible to enjoy the sun all day. From sunrise to sunset.

Almuñecar is also the center of the known COSTA TROPICAL, due to its mild temperate climate, the protection they offer the high mountains to the north, Sierra Nevada. That's why they grow all kinds of tropical fruit Mangos, Custard apples, avocados, etc.

Cotobro Beach Apartment

The apartment was exactly as described, very clean and well equipped, the setting was marvelous, beautiful views of the beach, the sound of waves relaxing you, and umbrellas provided to shield from the sun when visiting the beach. Ana and Fernando were exceptional hosts, I have rented many houses/apartments from various sites, but have never had such helpful and hospitable hosts,Fernando even picked us up at the station and invited us to lunch, which was delicious! He gave us very useful tips on which restaurants were good, where to visit in the area, he could not have been more helpful.The town of Almunecar is a 10/15 minute walk along a promenade, but the best food we had was in a beach side restaurant just across the road, so we were able to completely chill out. I absolutely recommend a visit here, we were just 2, but the apartment could comfortably accommodate 6 people, making it very reasonable cost wise. We are already planning our next visit

everything as described

The apartment was clean and spacious it had all we needed for a 10 night stay.

There were two bathrooms and it is unusual for a second bedroom to be as large as the main one and would be ideal for a family. Sunbeds on the sunny terrace was an added extra.There was no problem putting out the rubbish with the bin just outside the back boor and emptied each night.. With the beach just across the road it was an ideal place to relax.We were given 3 phone numbers to contact the owners if we had any problems but they were not needed. A very restful holiday thank you.

Location, location, location - is NOT everything

The location is excellent. On the beach, great view, and great restaurants just down the road. The apartment is in need of repair as there is mold and plaster failing. The kitchen has the basics, but just barely. We had bug issues, including finding a large cockroach in my bed on the last night of our stay. If the owners do some maintance, spray for bugs and maybe added screens to the patio doors, this place would be fantastic. As it is today, I would not recommend.

Owner's Response: I am glad the you found the location “excellent, on the beach, great view, great restaurant,…”. The apartment has just been painted (one month ago). But we will repair any small part again if needed. Thanks for your info. Sorry for that. I am surprised that you found that the kitchen had only the “basics, just barely”. In fact is the first time that a couple for 4 nights stay, finds “barely basic”, what we supply: 4 ring stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, big oven, coffee maker, toaster, juice maker, hob, dishes and utensils for 8, al kind of cooking utensils, and even what is not in the ad: a washing machine and soap powder for washing machine, ingredients for cooking (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper,…). But we regret that was not enough. I will try to improve. Thanks. I am sure that the apartment was absolutely clean at your arrival, as I checked personally, and you had no complaints about the cleaning. Although, I am not so surprised that you could find “one” cockroach. Naturally, we, for all new guests, clean with soap and bleach before their arrival, and periodically put spray for bugs on the hidden places, but it is rare, but possible, that “one” had entered by the window, or the main door, as they can fly from the garden at the back court. In your case it was more probable, as you did not took off your garbage out during your whole stay. Perhaps I have not informed you properly that garbage should be taken off the apartment everyday ( to the garbage recipient at the parking court, as the Public service collect the garbage everyday) . Anyway, thanks for your comments. We will try harder for next guest so they would find, as you say in your comment with that corrections, very easy to do, “FANTASTIC” .

very nice apartment in a wonderful area

We chose for our holiday for the first time Costa Tropical and we were right to select Cotobro for our stay because is half way between Nerja and Motril. So every objective we have had in mind was accessible driving only few minutes.

The apartment is located just in front of the sea, has a great restaurant across the street (any many others at minutes walk). Everything mentioned in the property advertising was at our disposal. Any a lot more - many thanks to Fernando for the assistance and kindness.

Apartment was great and exactly what we were looking for. It had a great location next to the beach and a short walk to Almunecar main town. The Costa Tropical is a lovely area with lots of historical interest. It is also a good location for doing day visits to Granada and Alhambra. The information we received from Ana and Fernando was very helpful and everything relating to our stay was great.

Almuñécar is considered to be among the most attractive resorts, with the most potential, on the entire southern Spanish coast. The area is known as the Costa Tropical, because of its ample beaches, unique climate and lush tropical and subtropical vegetation. . Almuñecar was founded for the Phoenicians 3.000 years ago and witnessed achievements that formed the Mediterranean culture, You can visit the necropolis from the 7Th century BC and 4th century salting plant.,...

It is the tourist capital of the Costa Tropical, call like that because it micro climate, due to the protection of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the highest mountains in Spain, so the temperature is always warm even in winter, and it grows any kind of tropical fruits: papayas, mangos, cherimoyas.

Restaurants and tapas bars are good and affordable There is also a beautiful botanic garden Parque del Majuelo, 15 minutes.

Other Activities: diving. Almuñecar is one of the 10 most popular dive sites, due to their transparent waters and extra funds, so there are many schools that do a lot of diving, including night daily departures.

Golf: You have a Golf course quite near at Motril, at ' Los Moriscos Club de Golf' , about 20 km. away.

That is the nearest one, but many other are accessible from Almuñecar in the Costa del Sol and Malaga province.

Los Moriscos is an all-round sports and leisure complex sited next to the sea yet within easy reach of the Sierra Nevada ski resort. Designed by Ibergolf and Manuel Piñero the course opened in 1974 and is mainly flat. However, the large greens, two lakes, palm trees, sugar cane and an abundance of exotic fruit plantations, including the papaya and mango, ensure that playing golf here is interesting, and with all these natural hazards challenging too. The club has plants to extend the course to 18 holes.

Ski: Sierra Nevada, one of the highest mountains in Europe, is about 100 km away. The warm and tropical weather of Almuñecar is dureto the high mountains in the North that do not allow the north and cold winds to come to the tropical coast of Almuñecar.

It is possible to do sky in the morning and go a bath in the warm Mediterranean sea in the afternoon.
