Walk through the entrance of this very quiet apartment and you find yourself in the spacious kitchen with a view beyond to the living room.
The kitchen has a wooden counter for dining, lots of counter space and cupboards . All amenities are provided: four-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator , dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, blender…
Walk through the kitchen into the beckoning living room with two windows facing South, the sunlight streaming in and overlooking the rooftops.
The spacious living room has a comfortable funky couch ( if you lay the cushions side by side, two people can sleep quite comfortably). The square coffee table also serves as a low-to-the floor dining table.
The (cable) television is framed on the wall above the electric piano.
Along the wall, a shelf is filled with art books. The lighting filters through two Fornasseti lamps depicting the face of the sun.
Everywhere, be it in the kitchen, the living room, the bedrooms, or the bathroom, are original artworks – collages and photographs.
The bedrooms come off the living room.
The master bedroom has a Queen size bed (160cm), and the stained glass window overlooks a small courtyard. A crystal chandelier sparkles light overhead, and crystal lamps on the wall shed light over the long commode and the leopard fabric patterned armchair.
The second bedroom has a small double bed (120cm), a desk, closet space and drawers. The window faces South overlooking the court and the roofs beyond.
Both the master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom lead directly to the bathroom.
The bathroom has beautiful turquoise tiles, a bathtub/shower, a radiator towel rack. Here too there there is a leopard armchair, a crystal chandelier overhead and two crystal chandelier appliqués on either side of the mirror above the sink. And here too, a collage adorns the wall.
Each room, bathroom included, has beautiful mouldings on the ceiling.
And all the rooms (excepting the bathroom and WC) have white wooden floors.
The WC is separate and it too has beautiful turquoise tiles in the floor and a small hand sink.
The neighborhood :
The street has trendy restaurants, theaters and movie theaters.
The Galerie Lafayette is on the one side, and the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre on the other.
It takes 10 minutes to walk to L’Opera, and 11 minutes to walk to the Place du Tertre on Montmartre. The neighborhood park is 5 minutes away and the fancy Parc Monceau is only 10 minutes away.
This is very lively neighborhood with beautiful old Hausmanian buildings, winding streets dotted with 'in' cafes leading up to the Butte Montmartre.
The Monoprix supermarket is located just as you walk out of the the metro on Place Blanche, the fresh vegetable, meat and fish stalls are on rue Lepic, also minutes away from the apartment. On rue des Batignolles (10 min by foot) there is an organic farmers' market, on Saturday etc.
'Amélie' the film was shot down the street on rue Lepic - and the whole neighborhood is very upscale.
Metro : Blanche and Place Clichy
And many busses : 74, 68, 95, 80, 30
I was a fashion designer and now I'm working on my art : collages
I travel a lot that's why I rent my appartment.
I bought this property because I fall in love with the area , and it was very practical for me and my 2 kids ( schools, métro , bus ....).
It 's in the heart of Paris, but it's very quite because all the rooms are on courtyards
I loved the quiete, the view, the light
Exceeded my expectations - light & airy, lots of room. Easy metro access. A few short blocks from lots of great take away food on Rue Lepic followed by fabulous restaurants and shopping a little further up on Abbesses. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the separate WC was a morning juggling bonus. Loved all of the great art in the apartment; would definitely rent it again.
Great for a family, kitchen very spacious with a nice eating bar, quiet for sleeping, close to Blanche metro station, w/d was great have, Wifi worked great, great market right by, restaurants, etc.
This was our first visit in Paris so we were a little anxious. But this apartment is better than described , very luminous, comfortable and spacious with everything needed.
A central but authentic neighborhood with quick transportation anywhere in Paris.
Groceries and "boulangers" just around the corner
Excellent location, all what you need is next to you ( supermarket, bakery, health food shop, theatre, restaurants, night life ,museums…and Montmarte ),
The apartment is comfortably large and bright.
it’s very clean and great to relax. I love the "arty" decoration everywhere!
The area is animated but the flat is very quiet because it is not on the street side
The apartment was ideal for our family
We had such a good time here with our children ….hope to comme back next year !
We had a great experience in this lovely apartment in Paris! It is close to the Metro and within easy walk of Montmartre and Sacre Coeur! Clean and lovely, and the lovely owner helped us so much with local places to eat and shop and visit!!
We loved this place. Arrangements were done easily and they were very accommodating. The location was perfect for being able to cover a lot by foot or by metro. The decor was fun, the beds and furniture comfortable, and all the amenities were there. We were welcomed by our lovely host who treated us to everything we needed for breakfast after our overnight flight. We loved the easy access to the many shops of the neighborhood and the recommendations on where to shop made by our host were perfect. Wifi worked well and the spacious rooms made my 2 teenagers happy. Overall, a great place that I highly recommend.
