Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday home in North Hills

1 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Adobe Home, Sleeps 2. Kiva Fireplaces In Living & Bedroom

This carefully crafted home, in the heart of Santa Fe, features traditional pueblo style architectural detailing with a kiva fireplace in both the living room and bedroom, Talavera tile kitchen and baths, viga beams in the ceilings, smooth plaster walls, and brick, wood and saltillo tile floors.

A winding flagstone walkway through beautifully landscaped grounds leads to your private gated entrance and adobe walled yard space.

The spacious, light filled, living room of this casita is elegantly and comfortably furnished including a sofa bed, kiva style fireplace, flat-screen television with cable channels, and a stereo system with ipod dock. Complimentary winter firewood is stacked right at the door.

A fully equipped country kitchen has everything you need - china, cookware, glassware, utensils, and coffeemaker, with complimentary Starbuck's coffee for the first morning, as well as all paper goods, and cleaning supplies.

The bedroom features a Kiva fireplace, and a comfortable queen bed, with high thread count cozy linens, for quiet restful slumber. Thick adobe walls, and the peaceful location, tucked in an older residential neighborhood, create a ambiance of serenitity.

The Talavera tiled master bath has a tub/shower combination, and the second full bathroom, a walk in shower. Plush towels, soaps, and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience.

Outdoor living space is an essential part of Santa Fe architecutre, and the patio, with a Weber gas grill and comfortable outdoor furntiure, faces the Jemez Mountains to the west, for views of our breathtaking Southwest sunsets, overlooking downtown city lights - especially gorgeous during the holiday season when Santa Fe is aglow with farolitos.

The location of the compound is one of the best features of this home. Just four blocks north of the historic downtown Plaza, you can enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer - fine dining, art galleries, museums, and shopping. Located 12 miles from Santa Fe Ski Basin, in minutes you are surrounded by the Santa Fe National Forest.

Guests return to Campanilla Compound year after year. Come and see why. Its the Santa Fe experience you had in mind....

Perfect SantaFe housing

  • 5 of 5

This complex was perfect for our vacation. Two retired couples. 3 to 4 blocks to plaza area. Easy walk, slight upgrade coming home. Near Canyon drive. recommend trolley tour. House was safe, clean, very nicely decorated. Definitely upscale home. Landscaped nicely, Had fully stocked kitchen which we enjoyed,as we cooked or grilled most of our meals. I would recommend it. We were very happy with the accomadations.

Simply Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best places we've ever stayed. Clean, comfortable, quiet, secluded but very close to the plaza. We spent 4 wonderful days at Campanilla Compound and loved every minute of it. We will be back for sure. Features we liked: well-equipped kitchen, beautiful living and dining area, cozy patio, comfortable bed and two full bathrooms. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

We are two couples who stayed in Unit #6. It is a two bedroom, two bath unit so we were comfortable, but be aware that there is a Master en suite bedroom with a King bed, and a smaller bedroom with queen bed and bath in the hallway. It was very hot while we were there and while the room air conditioners in each bedroom kept those rooms cool, the main living area and kitchen could have used a cooling unit. At the least, a couple of ceiling fans would have helped. The unit is very spacious and well appointed with a complete kitchen, an outdoor grill, and a lovely patio with table and chairs. The managers were very helpful, including letting us borrow some folding chairs for our opera tailgate! We will definitely stay again.

Campanilla #3 is great

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 4 nights in unit #3. It was clean, convenient and a short walk to The Plaza. We enjoyed our time in the casita and would recommend it highly.

Wonderful respite

  • 5 of 5

Campanilla Compound was what we hoped for and more. The location couldn't have been better; the décor was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in Unit 3, which has a rooftop patio where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets and even a brief Spring snowfall (beautiful!). We walked to the Plaza, spending time shopping, and in St. Francis Cathedral, having brunch at the La Fonda Hotel and being awed at The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Also lunched another day at The French Pastry Shop at La Fonda, which was excellent! Other favorite restaurants were Harry's Roadhouse (homemade ice cream sandwiches), Tune-up Café and Mucho Gusto. I am a cheery pie aficionado and had the best piece of my life at The Chocolate Maven. Spent one day driving outside of Santa Fe , seeing much beauty. It was always nice to return to home base at Campanilla Compound. We hope to return!

Campanilla compound sits on a quiet hillside in an older established neighborhood, just 4 blocks north of santa fe's historic downtown plaza. It's a five minute stroll to a myriad of fine dining establishments, museums, fine art galleries and a shoppers paradise of original boutiques. Seasonally, the plaza is home to several international artist markets including both Indian market and Spanish market. Canyon road, famous for its historic adobe architecture and over 100 fine art galleries in a half mile stretch, is a few steps further to the east of the plaza. Outdoor adventure abounds, with the santa fe ski basin only 12 miles up the mountain from our location. In minutes, you are surrounded by the santa fe national forest, with its glorious hiking trails, and opportunities for fishing, biking, and aspen vistas. The world class santa fe opera is located 10 miles north. Ancient pueblo ruins surround santa fe, such as bandelier national monument, taos pueblo, acoma pueblo's sky city and pecos national monument, all within an hours drive. Campanilla compound is just the spot you were thinking of to explore santa fe's history, culture, and astounding natural beauty.
