Great Stay March 2019
We stayed at Harper's Villa for 9 days with our first visit to Barbados. The house was exactly like the pictures- very clean thanks to the housekeeper Deborah. Simon the property manager was very friendly and helpful. He was there to greet us and give us advice and information. If you needed anything he would respond right away. The house is very close to Holetown just a couple minutes drive to purchase all the things you require.Staying here we would recommend renting a car. The view to the ocean was wonderful and the pool was used daily.
We would stay here again.
still as good as last year!!
2nd stay at Harpers Villa and we absolutely loved it. Great, quiet location, spacious property which is very well furnished and well looked after. great view, plenty of places to 'disappear' for those quiet moments yet well laid out for group/family meals. Definitely hope to go again
A hideaway haven with amazing views
We had a fabulous two weeks at Harpers. There was plenty of space (though there were only three of us!) and having the kitchen open out onto the patio and pool was lovely. A great view to the sea all day long with fire flies and giant frogs appearing at night which were fab to see whilst the moon and lone star shone above. We also relished opening the bedroom doors each morning to the veranda looking out to sea too - the nesting birds and the egg thieving monkeys added to the experience one morning! Simon our villa manager was a star - sorting out air con issues in a flash and not to mention working out a plan for the forgotten key fiasco. He was also a great source of mangoes for our morning breakfasts - delicious. Everything was clean and tidy - though the nesting birds meant the patio could have done with an extra sweep! The kitchen tiles were a bit tired but everything was spotless and in working order so no complaints.
Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay in Barbados and at the Vila.
We have a plan to stop the nesting birds, but thought it was best to leave it until the chicks have flown the nest.

Perfect for larger groups
Enjoyed our stay a Harpers Villa this July. It is a great location with the beach a 15 minute walk and town with essentials like grocery shopping(Massy Supermarket) and the few excursions we took, a 20-30 minute drive. The villa itself was perfect for our group of 7 adults. Three ensuite large bedrooms upstairs with air conditioning and one ensuite downstairs. There is no air downstairs, but it's very open and when the sun goes down you have a great breeze. The only downfall is no screens on large french doors throughout the villa so we did have mosquitos in the evening. We had to spray every night as we sat inside or outside the villa. Simon was accommodating, Anne came once during the week to clean and our pool was kept up as well. Absolutely need a car if staying at Harpers. Our only negative was the mosquitos, which you can't control and the dishwasher does not clean very well. We cooked a lot during our stay. I would consider returning should we visit Barbados again.
The property is gorgeous spacious comfortable and very clean
My family and I had a wonderful time all our needs were met. I look forward to our next trip we will definitely book here again

Enjoyed our visit to Barbados
The Villa is nice but, can be much better with a few renovations ( dated) Pictures are a little deceiving. We did not have hot water the entire stay. You need a car or the Taxi fees will kill you. The locals showed us a short cut to the buses but you must be in good shape to tackle the trail. Anne the house keeper was very nice.
This villa is situated in the prestigious west coast parish of St James, it is positioned next to Sugar Hill and is 1min drive to Royal Westmoreland Golf Club. The popular Limegrove lifestyle centre with it's high end shops, restaurants, and bars, is 2 miles to the south in Holetown, where you will also find numerous other places to eat and drink. There is a well stocked Super centre supermarket also in Holetown and all the facilities you need for your stay. The villa is up on a ridge over looking the beautiful west coast and benefits from the cooling easterly breezes.
Golf: Royal Westmoreland Golf Club is situated at the and of the road. Sandy Lane golf course is around 2 miles to the south.
