|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Glendale is a truly magnificent cottage. All three bedrooms have stunning sea views with french doors leading out onto a panoramic deck. Two luxury bathrooms make things easy and the lounge is the perfect place to drink a glass of wine and relax in front of the log burner. The French doors lead from the lounge onto the deck with views nothing less than inspiring. The kitchen is gorgeous and the best part of the house is the award winning log burning hot tub. Sit in the tub at night and remember what is really important. It's why you come on holiday. The house connects directly to the Coastal path. A short walk through the woods and you end up on Glen beach - full of tidal pools, and secluded coves. It's a safe beach, with good fishing, and fantastic for kids - give them a bucket and spade and they're off. Dog owners/Parents can walk easily from the house directly to the coastal path without having to see a car. Alternatively, turn right at the front gate and within a couple of minutes your in Saundersfoot village.
Hi, we are Amie, Chris and Che. We have recently restored this lovely Cottage. It is a very special property full of character and charm - we are sure you'll love it too.
The location is everything. The cottage is literally on the coast path. You can step through the gate and walk a short distance along a path in the woods to the beach, takes approx 6 mins.
Alternatively, you can turn right from the property and walk on a pavement to the village, takes approximately 5 mins.
The cottage has wonderful views overlooking the sea and Swallow tree woods. A gorgeous hot tub to totally unwind, and situated directly on the coast path, you have the best of Pembrokeshire at your doorstep. The perfect holiday.
What a stunning property! It was the perfect holiday home, luxurious yet practical. Little touches like the fresh flowers, cake and wine on arrival made us feel we really had come somewhere special. The location to Glen beach was ideal and the walk was just right for little legs and parents carrying the beach essentials. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a family with young children.
This is a beautiful property in a fantastic location, on a hillside, with sea views from all windows. Pathway from the garden leading to the beach at Saundersfoot which is very pretty. Lovely wild garden with hot tub on lower level. Hot tub a bit tricky to get to right temperature and you need to keep lighting it and loading with more wood, but lovely once you get in. Gorgeous sun terrace, with lots of chairs, but only one sun lounger which could be a problem with a few guests staying. Lots of places close by to visit - including Folly Farm Zoo, which is in such a lovely setting and has loads of fantastic activities for the children, and Colby Woodland Gardens which is just 5 mins down the road, with a beautiful outdoor cafe with 'to die for' cakes, and the town of tenby is about 10 mins drive way with lots of restaurants and shops. Unlike a lot of properties we have visited though, there are no leaflets at the house for ideas of places to visit, so we would recommend doing some research before you go. Although, there is a visitors book with some suggestions. Would definately recommend a stay at Glendale Cottage.
The photo of the deck says it all! Set in a fabulous spot above Glen beach yet with Tenby only 10 mins, away you are spoilt for choice. Do you settle down for the day on the beach and on the deck (barbie and Jaccuzzi) or get in the car and visit all the delightful places in Pembrokeshire?
On arrival, car parking is a bit tight and the access is down a double flight of steps, but most of this area is on steep slopes and it is these that give the stupendous views. The bungalow is fantastic, with Indonesian(?) themed decor and all you could want short of a palace! When we walked through the kitchen (we came in through the back door) and stood on the 3 steps down into the lounge we gasped at the view - and then the deck!
The louge and all 3 bedrooms have patio doors onto the deck which is furnished with plenty of chairs, a table and a "boat" seat. All high quality.
Glen beach is very attractive and dog friendly, though there is very little sand at high tide. At low tide you can walk half way to Tenby on the sand or back towards the main Saundersfoot beach. The Geology is very interesting and kids will love the folded rocks and even the little seam of coal.
Definitely on our "places to go back to" list
Enter Glendale and immediately you experience a strong feeling of peace and tranquility. It is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, every possible appliance has been provided and crockery and cutlery is plentiful. The bathrooms are small but beautifully fitted. The beds are extremely comfortable, dressed with lovely linen. Towels are luxurious and detail to thought has been given to supplying towels for the use of the hot tub. Wonderful consideration has been made for the needs of young babies/toddlers without incurring additional costs. The cot linen is beautiful and the cuddly rabbit is a nice welcome touch. A wide range of suitable plastic plates/bowls and cutlery is provided. The fantastic decking provides spacious outdoor living and gives the allusion that you are up in the tree canopy; not to mention the stunning view down towards the sea. Finally, the hot tub is a remarkable experience. It provides a great sense of well-being, altogether different from the plastic, bubble variety! This is definitely a holiday home that you would want to return to again and again.
We are located within the small coastal village of Saundersfoot, 5 miles from Tenby. Everything you need for a lovely family holiday is here. Restaurants, convenience stores, pubs, shops, a lively harbour, and gorgeous beaches.
If you fancy a day out you will find yourself surrounded by 186 miles of coastal paths that dip in and out of pristine beaches and quaint towns. You can discover the medieval walled towns of Tenby or Pembroke Dock or explore the nearby castles. There are over 50 beaches in Pembrokeshire - so kayaking, surfing, or just having a paddle is at your doorstep. If you love wildlife, it is here in abundance. A boat trip around Ramsey Island is a real adventure - where you are likely to see dolphins, or Sun Fish, and a plethora of bird life is guaranteed.
