clea apartment with no free wifi and a lot different from description

Since this apartment was not free at my dates the owner offered me an other apartment in the same building. In the descriptions it was written it can accommodates 6 people but there where only 5 sleeping places. But that was not the biggest problem.

"South facing apartment with a large balcony, one bedroom and one sleeping room. With a surface of 30m², it can welcome 6 persons."

Its turn out one bedroom and one sleeping room means one tiny bedroom and all other bed where in the main living space.

The owner did sent me a pictures which were not from the flat we were. The pictures were with a sketch of the apartment and on it there were definitely two separate sleeping rooms.

Except of the difference the owner was helpful the whole time. I have received my deposit very fast. That's why I give 2 stars (not 1). But after all I just can't recommend an owner which gives wrong information at the beginning.

For the area - be careful, almost all apartment in 3 valees are very small. And as small i mind not big more than a camper. Nice ski areas with a lot of runs. There are avalanche canons, so don't be scare after hearing a roar in 730 am.

Owner's Response: Dear Client Thank you for your comments when you were looking at booking Balcons it was available but in between you confirming your booking we had another client who paid and booked at the same time,I did offer you another apartment called Median sent you a presentation on this apartment which you were happy with as the week you were looking for is a very busy week you excepted this apartment which is larger then the first one and we let you have it at the same price. So your coments above regarding Balcons is incorrect as this was not were you stayed. Regards David

Wonderful apartment that suited all our needs!

Beautiful quaint little apartment, full of all the necessities over the Christmas period. The owner was lovely and quick at replying to any concerns we had. Being right on the slopes for easy skiing access was a big plus, stepping right out the door and being able to look down in to the valley. The facilities within the apartment were great, had everything required for us to put together some meals, and lovely dining area to eat. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was just the right size. Thanks for letting us stay at your place in Les Menuires, I'd be happy to stay there again if we ever go back!

Very central to area

Just got home from this apartment, there were three of us sharing and found it great, was very warm without the heaters on. Very central to the area and really easy to get about. Close enough to get the the main hub but far enough away from hustle and bustle. Although there is a very efficient lift we found it odd that at level 0 there were still 6 or so steps to manage with heavy luggage. Two great restaurants within a stones throw, recommend La Ruade for great atmosphere and very generous portions, most restaurants here have generous portions. Another great restaurant can be seen from the balcony (don't know the name) but can highly recommend the Raclette, a real treat. Unfortunately the pistes were rammed when we were there as it was smack in the middle of French school holidays. We found this very much a skiiers area rather than a snowboarders area but felt very welcome always. The owner of this apartment is extremely friendly and informative of the area which is always a bonus for tips.

Génial, super! Really a very nice place for vacation

Superbe exposition plein sud, idéal pour profiter du soleil. Accès au piste ski au pied pour le départ (piste donnant sur télésiège sans attente même le matin) et 50m pour le retour , un rêve.

Accès au centre station à pied très rapide.

Mise à dispo des clefs très pratique. Propriétaire très réactif et remboursement rapide de la caution.

Il faudrait juste un double des clefs pour que celà soit parfait. Je recommande fortement cette location.

Chouette appartement, bien situé

Chouette appartement, bien situé dans le bas de la station, au calme. (En été, pas de remontée mécanique, donc, du sport en plus). L'appartement est bien agencé, donc ne paraît pas trop petit. La terrasse est de bonne dimension et vraiment bien placée pour profiter du soleil. La vue est magnifique et à elle seule, justifie le loyer.

La station est très agréable en été et offre un éventail et une qualité de services incroyables. Je conseille absolument de prendre le forfait pass famille.

Contacts et informations efficaces de la part du propriétaire.

Malheureusement, l'équipement est rudimentaire, usé, parfois même cassé et la literie est de qualité très médiocre.

Il s'agit aussi du logement le moins propre que nous ayons jamais loué et le propriétaire a d'ailleurs reçu les photos qui illustrent ceci. J'ai donc nettoyé en entrant et en quittant car pas de service de nettoyage proposé. Pas de produit ni de matériel d'entretien non plus (à part un aspirateur qui fait un bruit de fusée).

Malgré tout ceci et les heures à faire l'état des lieux tant pris au sérieux par le propriétaire, à lui transmettre des photos et des mails, il a fallu le recontacter trois fois et trois bons mois avant qu'il ne procède au remboursement de la caution. Un oubli de sa part.

J'espère que depuis, il a changé ces problèmes car l'appartement en valait vraiment la peine. ( c'était en fait en juillet 2012)

Les Menuires has a privileged situation in Les 3 Vallées, the biggest ski area in the world (650 km of slopes and 180 ski lifts), an amazing diversity of slopes, tracks and activities…

The children are taken care of in the « villages » where they are welcome from the age of 3 months (in the Piou-Piou club of la Croisette, day care centre, nursery and kinder garden)

Besides skiing you can go for a walk on foot or with the snowshoes, try the buggy or quad, enjoy the swimming pool or the fitness, steam room.

You can discover the local culture or go and listen to a classical concert at night.

Les Menuires keeps holding on to its warm and functional image (most of the buildings are on the slopes). Today the architectural landscape is made of chalets and residences made of wood and stone.
