Main floor has large living room with 42' plasma and bar, dining room, reading room has water views and large 3 season porch. Hardwood floors throughout, high quality furnishings. Three Queen bedrooms and two twin beds with full bathroom on 2nd floor. All bedrooms are clean & bright with high quality sheets and feather quilts. Eat-in kitchen equipped with Viking stove and dishwasher. Three porches/decks.

This beautiful old family home is where my children spent their childhood. Built in 1928, we are the second family to own the home and plan to keep the house in the family. Being in Sea Cliff brings you back to old memories of small towns, walking to the beach, and concerts in the park. It is the perfect blend of New York City and the small town USA.

Nice roomy house. Good location. Dirty tub & sink in bathroom

Convenient, spacious house. No parking except in town - but workable. No tissues, no hair dryer, no iron.Nice orientation from manager. Getting prearrival information on location and acces was a challenge because website lists only former property manager not current.

Wonderfully charming property with stellar views overlooking the water. Easy walk to town and beac

The house has it's original hardwood floors , Comfortable furnishings and nice linens. Felt homey, and was a nice place to spend time with family. Will definitely come back again!

Teriffic Family Reunion Vacation Home

We absolutely loved this home!! We were visiting from California for a family wedding in Glen Cove so there were tons of relatives in the area. Five bedrooms afforded plenty of room for lots of adults and kids. Two of the bedrooms had window air conditioners and were spacious enough to add porta-cribs. The washer and dryer in the cellar was a great bonus with two babies in the house. Lots of extra spaces in the home for individuals to have a little quite time away from our noisy crowd.

We had family members coming and going in addition to those who were staying at the house, and the dining room table was big enough to accommodate all of us! The kitchen was a little pinched for workspace, but everything was in good working order. And there is a bonus party room with wrap-around windows surrounded by trees, that was very nice for entertaining.

The location is great! We walked right next store to the park to enjoy the free Thursday night concert, walked to restaurants for dinner a couple of nights, and walked to the beach. Great morning exercise hiking up and down the hills and many staircases leading to the shoreline. Enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks from the upper bedroom windows! And the North Shore Farms grocery store is a MUST SEE destination stop! Do beware that there is a surprising amount of traffic noise on the street side of the house. Nothing that a good set of earplugs can't handle (says the woman who sleeps with a husband who snores).

If you're looking for state of the art new, this is not the place for you. But if you don't mind the character that comes with old age -- like creaky floorboards and the occasional sensation that you're tipping a little to the west -- this house is a dream come true!! Everything was clean, comfortable, and attractive. A few extension cords in the bedrooms would be useful for using blow dryers in front of the mirrors, since the power outlets are not as plentiful as in modern houses.

All in all, we would love to return here.

Beautiful house and great location in Sea Cliff

We live in Sea Cliff and love the old Victorian houses and slightly offbeat charm of the town. This house is a great place to stay. It is quintessentially Sea Cliff.

We rented the house for our extended families to stay during my son's graduation from North Shore High School. Everyone enjoyed the house, the fabulous views, sunsets from the park next door, and walks down to the beach and Sea Cliff Avenue to restaurants and shops.

It's an old house, so it's not 'perfect' but it's perfectly charming, comfortable, and well appointed.

We would definitely recommend and rent it again for similar events where we need extra room. It would be a good location for anyone visting the area.

It slept 8 people comfortably and had lots of room for all of us (13 people total, plus a dog) to eat, talk, and entertain.

Lovely, spacious home with all the amenities in a great location

This house is lovely! I stayed here for a weekend with a group of friends who all traveled to the area for a wedding at the Swan Club. There were seven of us total, and there was plenty of room in the house to all gather in the same space when we were feeling the reunion vibe, as well as spread out and find some privacy without necessarily retreating into the bedrooms. The kitchen is well outfitted with plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes and glassware, toaster, coffee pot, and a beautiful Viking stove. We also used the charcoal grill outside. The house and linens were spotless, and the ocean views are spectacular. The house is within easy walking distance of the town beach and restaurants and shops. The grocery store and Sea Cliff train station are a little bit further, but still walkable if necessary. Uber is also available in the neighborhood, which we used to get to and from the wedding (a $12 ride each way). This house was perfect for our needs and played a huge role in making for a celebratory, memorable weekend.

It Could be Charming

The problem we had with this property was that information on the VRBO site was lacking and misleading. The writeup portrayed the property as a single family home, and we found out upon check-in that this was not the case. There is a tenant who sees patients during the day on the third floor. He has a separate entrance which is next to the home's main kitchen entrance. Although he was very nice and considerate, this fact should have been disclosed in the description by the owner. We weren't checking in for a 3-day stay, but for 30 days. Upon check-in, the house was not properly cleaned and ready for our stay. The main front entrance was advertised as a highlight of the property, yet in fact it was rusty and locked, the vestibule was dirty and obviously unused.Unless you have a high-clearance vehicle, parking in the driveway or garage is impossible, even though after directly asking the owner about parking we were told there was a garage for our use...and parking on the Sea Cliff streets is restrictive at times and quirky, which adds to inconvenience. The owner's agent did not communicate information to the owner accurately, which caused problems. The "sun porch" flooded after a day of rain, and the kitchen had leaks from the ceiling. The kitchen counters are in disrepair and it lacks cabinet space. The beds are comfortable. The main bathroom upstairs is a little tight, and the shower space is small. Because the local beach is privately owned, we had to purchase a pass or daily use fee to use it. The house has some charm, but it needs a thorough cleaning inside and out... windows need cleaning and cracked panes need repair, it needs some window coverings, blinds repaired, wood-rot repaired or replaced. The owner's caretaker/handyman was very polite and responsive. The location was good, the little town and the people are nice. It could be a very wonderful vacation property but desperately needs some overdue maintenance.

Owner's Response: The renter was quoted a discounted rate for the month of May.. Our policy is full payment 15 days prior to check in. They were unable to send their payment. Upon arrival they were too exhausted to discuss the remaining balance due. Complaints began the next day. After 5 days we offered to refund them in full if they would leave. We graveled the driveway, recleaned the house, planted flowers and did our best to accommodate them. After we were unable to get them out of our property, the renters happily stayed the entire month without paying the 50% balance due to us at check in. These are professional discount vacationers who cause owners grief. We have no way of protecting ourselves in advance.
