Spacious ground floor apartment, sleeps 4 - 6, with large sunny terrace

A very attractive two bedroomed holiday home close to the centre of Antibes with good transport connections. There is a daily Provencal market in the old town and a local shoppers bus 2 minutes away. There is secure off street parking within the gated development.

The apartment has a large salon with two new sofa beds and designer table and chairs for six people. There are two roomy bedrooms one with en suite bath, basin and bidet, one with separate walk-in shower.

There is a large outside terrace with table and chairs for 6 and elegant sun loungers. The terrace overlooks the gardens which has beautiful views of old Antibes.

The kitchen has granite worktops, good quality china and glass, and equipment to suit all cooks. Also included are washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is English Sky TV, music centre and WiFi connection.

We have been coming to this fabulous apartment in Antibes for over 20 years and regard it as a home from home . The best word to describe it is tranquille - A truly safe haven. It is also very stylishly furnished, comfortable, elegant and practical.

The accommodation is excellent and adaptable – two double bedrooms – one with en suite bathroom also a separate shower room and cloakroorm. There are also two sofa beds in the lovely big salon which opens onto a spacious terrace over looking the garden and swimming pool. The apartment is within a 15 minute’s walk from the centre of the town and the railway station. There is a bus 100 yards away but the timetable is somewhat erratic . The gardens are beautiful and the communal swimming pool very well maintained. The other residents are quiet, considerate French, most of whom have a second home elsewhere so that outside peak holiday times the pool and gardens are unoccupied

There are a great quantity of restaurants to choose from in Antibes but the kitchen is so well stocked and the markets and delicatessens so tempting there is no need to ever eat out. Time doesn’t seem to matter – there is always somewhere open, someone ready and willing to find you what you need.

Antibes is a delightful town with a market once a week and a food market daily. Communications are easy with the railway station on the way into the town and train service connecting with all the well known towns along the coast – Cannes, Nice, Menton, Monaco - and Italy just a hour way. The weekly market in Ventimilia is renowned for its bargain copies of designer goods at a fraction of the price. In all the time we have been coming we have never not found something new to see or do and have always been sorry to leave and eager to return.

A delightful apartment in a prime position .

The listing of this apartment accurately conveys the quality of the location and the facilities available both inside and outside the apartment. The building and the grounds are well maintained and the apartment was immaculate on our arrival. It is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay and the surrounding area offers a multitude of activities - sightseeing, culture, fine dining, swimming, boating and walking. The old town has a traditional covered market as well as a weekly one in the town square and many attractive, specialist shops in its pretty, narrow streets. There are restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. Walking round the harbour looking at the luxury boats is an experience.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property wholeheartedly to any friend or relation.

Antibes is a historical Greek and Roman settlement. It became a busy tourist centre after WW2.and became popular with the English who visited Nice - Boulevard des Angles - to gamble at the casino and to enjoy warmer winters. The surrounding areas were populated particularly by artists and writers and there are many museums and places of interest to visit. There is a Picasso museum in Antibes.

The town of Antibes retains a holiday atmosphere throughout the year with shops and restaurants remaining open. There are many tourist attractions in the area including the Monte Carlo rally and the Cannes Film Festival and Antibes has a spectacular flower festival in early summer. It also has a weekly shopping market and a food market daily.

There are both shingle and sandy beaches with boats and water skiing for hire.

For those who prefer to explore inland there are many hilltop villages and access to several golf clubs.
