Top 10 Must Things To Do During Your Stay at Chalet Charlevoix Quebec

1- Watch the sunrise burn mist off the mountain while sipping your freshly brewed morning coffee. The chalet faces south towards the St. Lawrence River, so set-up a chair on the deck for the best view of the sunrise, looking east along the tree line. If you are keen to experience this, your biggest challenge will be that the morning weather co-operates and being able to get out of your comfy bed in time.

2- Plan a personal rejuvenation moment in the spa or the sauna after a relaxing massage from Martine, who is available to visit the chalet for your session.

3- Daydream and go on an adventure in search of a hundred unique decorative objects, some filled with history, that add to the magical setting of the chalet.

4- Find a hiding place to read on one of the private balconies, diving back into a book that you have set aside for some time, stopping only to take a deep breath of fresh air and listen to the sound of the breeze in the trees.

5- Gather in one of the most popular areas of the cottage, the gourmet kitchen, and recount the day’s adventures. This living space with adjoining dining room table, is ideally configured for entertaining large groups and will include all you need to impress your friends and family with your hospitality.

6- Savour an ice cream treat with a unique taste from the Laiterie de Charlevoix, before it melts in your hand.

7- Enjoy the vast space of the chalet and settle around a fireplace. An accumulation of positive energy will build up inside you, and produce a sense of freedom that gives you the feeling that anything is possible. You can take this inspiration home with you - your biggest challenge will be to find the strength to leave.

8- Relax at the end of day with the spectacular sunset reflecting on your face before soaking in the 9 person spa accompanied by background music playing from outdoor speakers.

9- Strum your favorite songs on an old guitar around the bonfire and recount memorable stories from past adventures.

10- Stay up late and curl up with a blanket on a lounge chair, and try to count the stars in the Milky Way.

Chalet Charlevoix Quebec offers ample parking and heated storage space for all your ski and snowboard equipment, along with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury vacation home.

Dreaming of a luxury chalet in Quebec...

Book your next dream Le Massif de Charlevoix vacation with us!

Welcome to our dream Quebec chalet – Chalet Charlevoix Quebec, a luxury four season vacation rental within minutes of the highly sought after destination of Le Massif de Charlevoix, in Quebec, CANADA.

We feel a chalet in Quebec should be in harmony with nature, and blend into the regional landscape. Therefore, Chalet Charlevoix Quebec decor is dominated by earthy tones, with hardwood floors, slate tiles and granite counters bringing out beautiful hues of blues and browns. It is nestled amongst the diverse trees of the local boreal forest, with multiple decks and an outdoor covered porch area with a spa, allowing for year-long soaking after a long day of play while exploring the Charlevoix region.

The Charlevoix region has a rich history as a sought after vacation destination. The Charlevoix region, includes parts of the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River and the Laurentian Mountains region of the Canadian Shield. This dramatic landscape includes rolling terrain, fjords, headlands and bays; the region was designated a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1989. The region was named after Pierre François-Xavier de Charlevoix, a French Jesuit explorer and historian who traveled through this region in the 18th century. The nearby community of La Malbaie is known as the first resort area in Canada. For much of its history, Charlevoix was home to a thriving summer colony of wealthy Americans, including President William Howard Taft.

What makes this villa unique

Chalet Charlevoix Quebec is centrally located in the village of Petite-Rivière-St-François, just 10 km east of Le Massif de Charlevoix ski resort and 50 km east of Mont Sainte-Anne ski resort. Just 10 km east is the internationally renowned artisan town of Baie-St-Paul and the Casino Charlevoix is also close by, just 70 km east in La Malbaie.

Le Massif de Charlevoix is a ski mountain located in Petite-Rivière-Saint François, Charlevoix, Québec, CANADA, a 70 km (44 mile) drive east from Quebec City. Overlooking the St. Lawrence river, it has the highest vertical (2,527 ft) east of the Canadian Rockies.

Apart from a big vertical drop and lots of snow, Le Massif de Charlevoix is unique in that the area is accessible both from the top and from the base. The skiing season usually lasts from early December to late April. There are three peaks, two of which are currently developed. Le Massif has 53 total runs, supported by a high-speed gondola and 3 detachable quads, which provides an overall lift capacity of 11,200 skiers per hour. Since 2005, Jean-Luc Brassard, the 1994 Olympic Champion in freestyle mogul skiing, became a spokesman for Le Massif. Jean-Luc is regularly spotted cordially engaging skiers at Le Massif on the snow conditions and best trails of the day.

Le Massif de Charlevoix gets a lot of snow, and keeps it, as the region gets little rain for an eastern North American ski area. The natural snowpack (in the trails) can exceed eight feet at the summit during a typical winter. However, since the base is at sea level, it can lose its snow quickly during the spring thaw.

Town of Baie-Saint-Paul a ready showcase for regional artistic or culinary talent. Menus in restaurants feature local products but it's the art galleries that stand out along the main street.

Go hike the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, the scene is incredible, it's among the highest rock faces East of the Rockies. Sign-up for whale watching at Saint-Simeon.

Wonderful family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My family chose to spend a week in the Charlevoix area of Quebec, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of Chalet Charlevoix! We are a family of 8 adults and one toddler, and had more than enough room to relax and make ourselves comfortable in the chalet that is designed for enjoying all that the region has to offer. We spent every day hiking or sightseeing, but were happy to return at the end of the day to a home that felt like "home". Pictures of the chalet do not do justice, because it is far more beautiful in person. About an hour from Quebec City, we took advantage of tha tarea for 2 days, but then were happy to spend the rest of our time in Baie-St-Paul and St. Irenee and the National Parks, and especially the house. Monia is a delight to communicate with, and her personal touches made our stay most pleasant! I would recommend staying here all seasons, you will not be sorry!

Fantastic place as always

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that we decided to stay at Chalet Charlevoix during our ski vacation, and our third time in the Le Massif de Charlevoix area. The place was spacious and yet cozy. The view from the living room is spectacular. And the snow .... 50cm in just 24 hours during one of our days there. We will be going again and will be staying at Chalet Charlevoix if we can.

Aussie Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this fabulous chalet with our half Canadian and half Australian family just before Christmas. The Aussies were absolutely amazed at how beautiful and exciting the Charlevoix winter is. We were all absolutely thrilled with this lovely chalet. It is so luxurious in size, furnishings and ambiance. No detail is overlooked. We are a family that does a lot of travelling and this is definitely the best rental any of us has experienced. This beautiful chalet helped set the mood for a wonderful family holiday. I would highly recommend thischalet to anyone and we are all excited to return ourselves.

Perfect for family get-together

  • 5 of 5

This property was everything it purported to be in its advertisement. The property is fairly new and in excellent condition. It is elegant, yet comfortable. All bathrooms are large and have quality fixtures. The kitchen is equipped with first class appliances and cooking utensils.

We used the property for an adult family get-together. Every couple had its own bedroom and bath. We could be together in the public areas, yet have plenty of space in our private Reas.

The owners were easy to work with and provided immediate assistance when questions arose during our stay. My husband is visually impaired, so we could have used some extra lighting in the studio part of the house. We would also have liked a well-lighted spot with a card table somewhere in the house.

Still, we found this property excellent, and so did all of our guests. We highly recommend it.

A wonderful week with friends

  • 5 of 5

We made an excellent choice when we rented the beautiful CHALET CHARLEVOIX. It certainly met our expections after seeing the website and reading the description of the house. We were a group of 8 covering three generations and to a person we agreed that there was no better place for us to spend time together. The furnishings and the amenities were more than adequate and the spacious design gave us all space to chill out whenever we felt the need. The countryside of Charlevoix is very beautiful and although we had personally travelled in the area a number of times, our friends had not, and they enjoyed it very much. Among the many activities in the area are strolling the streets of Baie Saint Paul, Whale Watching, dinner at the Bootlegger, a day trip to Ile Aux Coudres or just staying at the Chalet, using the hot tub and making a fire to roast marshmallows! The owners have made a terrific place for vacationers to put down stakes for a few days, no matter what time of the year....thanks to them we had a great week.
